Spoilers, the volunteering was for who'd get challenged.
Who: Owain, Morgan, and Lucina. And anyone else who feels like jumping in.
Where: The park.
Summary: Kids bond, go LARPing? Frolic in the park? Have a sudden deathmatch? I don't know.
Warnings: Large hams.
And that was when Owain turned to Morgan (who was over...there, doing whatever it was that Morgan felt like doing, and you know what was still weird? the fact that was Morgan but...not Morgan...but cool as peop- anyway) and dramatically declared, "Halt, Morgan! For I have realized our connection, our cosmic incongruity, that which has anointed you as my destined rival."
This was somewhat undermined by Owain promptly stuffing the second half of the cookie he was eating into his mouth.

"Huh?" was his first response, but then he remembered his manners and also an idea of what Owain might mean. He swallowed the cookie. "Oh, wait. By 'anointed', you mean we should do battle, right?" He still couldn't slip into 'Justice Cabal' mode as effortlessly as Owain could. Which was probably a good thing.

For now, she found it in her best interest to sit down on the side of the action, underneath the shade of a tree. Actually, she probably finds this the best way to go until Morgan and Owain are done.

As Owain looked over at Lucina, Morgan followed his gaze and briefly wondered if she understood what was going on. She'd never hung around their battles before. Then again, they weren't particularly quiet when playing. Battling. And although he couldn't remember it, maybe they'd done the same things as children, too?
But thoughts like that could wait. The epic battle was about to commence. Morgan got to his feet, taking a challenging stance.
"I accept your challenge, mortal foe! ...And I also give you the honor of making the first move. You're a lot better at setting the scene, anyway."

Needlessly to say, her expectations weren't exactly very high. Though, listening to them discuss it made it seem like there was more to this than she originally thought.
So while Lucina kept her silence under the shade, her expression turned from amusement, to mild surprise, then back to amusement. Time to listen to Owain's - er - fanciful way of speech.

And then Owain nodded once, as if his testing of Morgan's mettle was met by some deep, instinctual glance, a sharing of souls.
"Hark, my ordained..." What to call him? "Ally-versaery!" Owain found himself wishing he was able to talk with, er...himself, sort of, and figure out what his other self called Morgan. But it sounded good, so he was going to roll with ally-versaery for now. "Let our fierce battle rend the heavens above and the depths below! Prepare yourself, for now our extremely protracted duel to the death shall begin!"

"My blade stands ready!" His nonexistent blade. "Deliver your blow, if you dare!"

Meanwhile, the heavens were rent asunder, the seas churned, the earth split apart, and the world echoed with the force of their fury. Somewhere...not there which is why everything remained intact, but...yes, somewhere.
