PLAY BALL!
Who: Everyone who wants to have some fun!
Where: Central Park. We're going to say they have a space designated for playing.
Summary: Junpei has invited fellow visitors over the network to come play a friendly game of baseball. There are free hats too!
Warnings: Uh, none yet.
Junpei had merely been curious when he sent a post over the network about playing some sports. He's an avid gamer and has a home in front of the boob tube, but he loves actually playing games in person...he's just not a superstar athelete. Before he knew it, he was planning an actual scrimmage between the Visitors.
"Man, this is a great turnout! I should plan more events! Junpei the party planner...no no, Junpei, the party master!" He chuckles to himself, pushing two boxes into the middle of the area they plan to use as dugouts. Once the tape is cut and the flaps are pulled back, they reveal two colors of baseball caps stacked in neat rows.
"Alright! If you wanna be on the greatest team ever, the blue team, take a blue hat! And if you wanna be on Minako's team, take red! Okay? Okay! Now let's get out there and play some ball!"
[[OOC: EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE is welcome to participate in this thread, even if you didn't respond to the OOC post! Just pick a team and jump in, or feel free to spectate and watch with a friend! Info post is here.

Red Team
"What Junpei said! So make sure you take a red cap if you want to be on the winning side!"
No one ever said good sportsmanship meant no heckling.

"So...how bad would it be for me to admit that despite baseball being Japan's national pastime, I've never partaken in it apart from mandatory gym classes?"

"Haven't played in a while, but I've been to a bunch of games. So uh. How many of you have no idea how this is played, 'cause I've been in America long enough to know how its national pastime is played."
WATCHING NEARBY
"Perhaps Michel should sing the national anthem before the first round!"
SOMEONE STOP HIM. Also he was off to a great start with the proper sports terms.
OH GEEZ

Lucas hadn't thought anyone would actually want him playing given his expertise with a baseball bat involved bashing things in the head more than anything; he sits on the sidelines with said bat lying beside him.
"What's that?"
Clearly that means Eikichi should sing it.

He starts drawing mana, relying on his own powers rather than whatever strange things this world has done to him. He won't cast on her yet, but he's ready in case she tries anything... especially with that wooden weapon she's picking up!

Here's Maugris in a blue cap holding up a bat experimentally. He appears to be examining how sturdy it is and contemplating something.
Mostly whether it will stand up to being swung with super vampire strength, and whether that would be cheating. Feel free to wander over and have a chat, or poke him and tell him it's his turn at bat, or whatever. Or, if you happen to be 21st-century-Earthian, make a joke about vampires playing baseball that Maugris will utterly fail to get.
Currently spectating... (
Erk hasn't got a hat. He does have a red cloak, but that's just because he always wears that. He's currently sitting in the stands, alternating between watching curiously and flipping through a book.
Of course, if you need another player, Erk is not difficult to drag into things, if only because he's not the greatest at asserting himself. On the other hand, he's also not the greatest at physical activity, so he might not be the best pick.

RED TEAM RELIEF PITCHER UP IN HERE
There's so many people... I'll have to try my best.
[Swallowing hard, Nano closes her eyes, winding up and letting one fly. Unfortunately, due to her nervousness and her sometimes uncontrollable robotic nature, the pitch she lets loose goes off like a rocket toward whoever the unlucky batter is.]

"...N-Nano-san, I didn't know you could throw like that..." He laughs nervously, catching his breath and putting his hat back on his head.

[...And then she fires at him.]
[Now, he's used to pitching machines firing fast-moving projectiles directly at him, but this is... different. Very much so. There's a fleeting moment of stunned realization, but being as competitive as he is, he tries to maintain sight on the ball as best he can and attempt to make the hit.]
[His hand-eye coordination must either be dead on, or he gets lucky, as he manages to hit the ball. Unfortunately, his swing is stopped short by the force of the ball, tearing the bat out of his hands halfway and sending it spinning off into the fence behind him.]
[So is that... a foul or..? Rather than focus on the "I could have died or gotten seriously injured just now" factor, he walks over to the bat, picking it up and noticing that the aluminum bat has been bent at a 45° angle and the ball is now stuck inside the bend. His focus now is whether or not that counts as pitcher-fault or batter-fault, because he has to have his priorities in order.]

BLUE TEAM...possibly?
He does look a bit reluctant about the whole thing.

It doesn't last too long though.
"Hi there! Are you going to be my team mate?"
no subject
Maaaybe blue team? also late...
[It seems so simple: take a red hat or a blue hat. Join a team, or just watch. Simple! But Otonashi is holding a hat in each hand, looking between them and the grass on the outside of the field -
This shouldn't be such a deliberation, but slotting himself onto teams isn't exactly his area of expertise.]
Offering water, but...:
[Even if he can't decide on a team (or decides not to play), he brought a lot of water for people. Hydration is super important and if he sees someone not taking care of themselves, someone might be in for a lecture.
It's really hot out today and do you know how dangerous dehydration is and should he be checking you for symptoms-- yeah, so please take care of yourselves or beware!]
no subject
I dare you to tell me you didn't see this coming.]Otonashi-kun!
[Hinata, donning a blue hat, runs over and throws an arm around the redhead's shoulders, likely sending him off balance if he wasn't bracing for it.]
You'll join my team, right?
