Summary: Weeeooo weeeooo weeeooo newbie alert. With a weird collar. Being in the Tower of Animus for a while doesn't make you very trusting of new places.

[Capricorn]

[Another night of restless sleep. He'd gone to bed, nodding briefly to his roommates, and tried to focus on getting to bed. Normally it was fairly easy, but tonight he kept having trouble getting his brain to stop focusing on things. Finally, he'd pushed away thoughts of horror and blood and gone to sleep… and then he'd had a dream.]

[Persona… The word stays with him as he wakes up… in a very different place. A place with a sun shining brightly, and grass under his fingers. … Has he been sleepwalking? He rises, looking around. Allelujah brushes himself off and starts to walk, trying to find the stairs.]

[His collar itches a bit, and he scratches it, glancing at the yellow fluid running through it. It should be time for a checkup soon… he'll deal with that when the day comes.]

[… Finding the stairs is taking longer than it should.]



[Sagittarius]

[… Well. He's walked for a while, and not found the stairs - he's found an entirely different setting. His movements slow as he becomes even more cautious - he doesn't even have a gun on him.]

[There are people milling about, all looking at him strangely. It's not like he's dressed in anything weird, just his normal clothes. Still, he keeps walking, picking his way through the streets. A punk smirks at him, and he just keeps walking. He doesn't want to cause trouble - he just wants to get back to his room.]

[He takes a step back, unsure if he's going to get attacked, but calms down slightly as Sam does. He stares at him in disbelief.]

... How? How is that possible?

Because of magic or something. Don't ask me. It's probably the same thing that brought me over there a while ago.

[He narrows his eyes, looking over the other man.]

...You should count your lucky stars, you know. This place is loads better than that one. I mean, you have your demons and all, but it's not as twisted or messed up at all.

[... He is still unsureface about everything (especially magic), but he relaxes a hair. ... He's still pretty tense though.]

So what's... Hinoto-Ri, exactly? It sounds Japanese but it's not a place I'm familiar with.

[primordial]

[He shrugs.]

Beats me if it's in Japan...I mean, it kind of looks like Japan, I guess? I've never been there before, though.

[He stares awkwardly at a point past Allelujah's shoulder.]

It's...god, how to explain it. A really weird place. Has somebody explained Personas to you yet?

Explained what?

Okay, people who come here? They get something that is called a Persona. It's...basically like a part of your mind that takes physical form and protects you from monsters? I don't get it, really.

[He shuffles his sneakers on the pavement, biting his lip as he thinks of how to explain, all while observing the other man carefully as he does so.]

You use these Personas to fight monsters in the Thirteenth Hour. It's this time when all these demons and stuff come out and try to hurt you. For people like me, to survive means knowing how to use your Persona right.

[egotrigger]

Uh.

[Hallelujah appears next to him, invisible to anyone else, and starts cackling.]

We - I can fight monsters pretty easily on my own.

[primordial]

We?

[He gives Allelujah a quizzical look, before he shrugs, seeming to let it pass. But in reality, he's taking good note of that. Very good note, indeed.]

Still, you're given one when you come here. Doesn't matter if you're good at fighting or not.

... Never mind.

[Normally he's stopped minding if people know about Hallelujah, but there's more important things to focus on.]

... Okay. So how do you use one and what's the thirteenth hour?

[primordial]

You use one...well, it's not that easy. You have to get yourself in a really bad situation, and then it like, "awakens" and comes out to help you.

The thirteenth hour is when the town turns all dark and stuff and monsters come out and everything...everything just sucks. So, um, yeah, I tend to avoid it, but you have to train your Persona and make it stronger, so...

[egotrigger]

[Monsters - sounds easy enough. But...]

In a - ah. That's... ah.

[Should he admit it? He might as well.]

That's when Hallelujah takes over, though. And making him feel in danger... I wouldn't advise it.

[primordial]

[Oh. Oh, this is a nice tasty bit of information. He narrows his eyes, looking uncertain, but curious all the same.]

Erm. What...or who is Hallelujah?

[egotrigger]

My other half. My... ah. Split personality.

[primordial]

You have a split personality?

[And it gets even more interesting! Oh, he could use this for so many things, truly. He blinks, looking contemplative.]

So...um, I guess this Hallelujah guy isn't very nice, is he.

[egotrigger]

Yes. And... ah. It's not...

[How to put this...]

It's not his fault that he's so violent.

Violent, too?! [He looks scared. Has...has he killed people before?

[egotrigger]

Yes.

[There's no point in lying.]

I have too, though. I'm a soldier. It... happens.

[primordial]

[Wow, this is the easiest information gathering conversation he has ever had. Thanks, Allelujah, for giving him all the potential harmful material he needs.]

I-I get it. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to pry...

What sort of soldier are you? Army? Navy? Air Force? Neither of those?

[egotrigger]

[Months of being in Animus have made him less cautious with information. Then again there's not likely a lot anyone could do with said information that he hasn't dealt with before.]

Ah... I'm a mobile suit pilot. So none of those, really.

[primordial]

Mobile suit? Oh, so, you pilot giant robots? Sounds like something out of a science fiction story...

[egotrigger]

Eheh... my world might be later than yours. In my world it was 2308.

[primordial]

What?! Really? Goodness, it's only 2013 where I come from...

[He looks amazed.] What is the future like, where you come from?

[egotrigger]

The three power blocs of the world are constantly at war with each other... but that's normal for me. It's hard to explain what it's like, since I don't have anything to compare it to.

Power blocs?

Yeah, no, I get it. I wonder what caused the war, though...

[egotrigger]

United groups of countries. They generally cover geographic areas close to each other, but some have zones outside of the main area.

And it was energy and resources. There was the Solar Wars when I was younger, which were over who could use the solar energy produced by the orbital elevator.
