Summary: Link's ready to go do some serious training with his Persona during the 13th hour.

Link shifted his shield on his back, as he looked up at the mountain. It didn't really look like much of a mountain anymore, with blood and stone and gears and metal. Still, even with a little bit of nervousness, he would push forward.

Near the edges of the city - because that's what it was, a city now, not a mountain - a blue light and a blue pile of ooze headed towards him. Link raised his sword, and then remembered that he was supposed to be training Epona. Right.

He took a more defensive stance, and yelled as a blue glow surrounded him.

"Hiyaaa!"

Epona appeared, stomping the ground as large rocks shot up from the ground to hit the demons. This was enough for them, and they dissolved. As Epona disappeared again, Link pressed further into the ward. This would take a while to fully explore…

Link stared a little. She was pretty, and the leaves...

"Huh." Right, training. No getting distracted by plants. The next time a duo of demons shows, Link summons Epona again, rushing forward as she enveloped a demon in light as it disappeared. He struck the demon next to it with the Master Sword, watching as it disappeared in the same way.

... He stared down at the sword. Well it is a sacred sword.

As the demons fall and the coast is, for the moment, clear, a soothing light washes over the pair, healing any wounds. Thank you Healing Wave.

Aziraphale blinks in surprise at how easy those demons fell, though. "What kind of attack was that? They went down in only one strike." He looks at Link's sword curiously as well. "Does it have something to do with that blade?"

His own blade, he imagined, would seriously hurt to anything that wasn't particularly fireproof. Maybe there was something about Link's sword that was similar.

"Ah... maybe? It's a sacred sword. Maybe that has something to do with it." He sheathes it, and adjusts his gauntlets again. Hmm... maybe they should find tougher foes to fight.

"It probably wouldn't have taken much longer anyway..."

"A sacred sword?" Aziraphale regards his sword with a surprised expression. "It must carry a great deal of power, then... These things are demons, after all, they could be weaker to sacred power." In which case, they were certainly in luck, what with an angel tagging along.

"How far are we planning to go in, Link? I'm not sure it's a good idea to be here for very long, we don't know what we'll find up there."

"Maybe."

He just looks a little surprised at Aziraphale's concern. "There's only one way to find out what's there. You haven't been through very many dungeons, have you?"

Stick with him, angelbro. He is an experienced adventurer!

... Aziraphale looks at him with his own surprise. "Dungeons?? I'm... sorry to say that I haven't... I assume you're talking about deep labyrinths crawling with monsters and not prisons?" He shakes his head slowly. What sort of world did this one come from?? Then again, looking at where they were... dungeon seemed to be a rather good word to use for it.

"I still insist that we be careful."

"Yeah. Except... mm. The Shadow Temple was weird. I don't know if they ever kept people in there. There were a lot of ReDeads and Gibdos and Stalfos in there, so maybe."

... Ugh, ReDeads. Creepiest things he had to fight. Ever.

"But I'll be careful! I can always use my Longshot to get away."

"I'm, again, sorry to say I'm not sure what those are. They don't sound all that pleasant, though... what were monsters doing in a temple?"

Aziraphale doesn't really understand how a temple, a place of worship, could be a dungeon... "Well, if you say so... And you mentioned a spell?"

"Yeah. Farore's Wind. It can teleport me to wherever I've put the other spot at. I have it set at my apartment."

He eyes Aziraphale's sword. "Is that all you have to fight with aside from your Persona? I can give you some bombs or lend you my boomerang or something if you want."

"Oh, no, I should be fine... I can't imagine myself being very skilled with boomerangs or explosives..." Did this guy have an entire armory on him? "This place shouldn't pose much of a problem for me unless I'm caught off guard. Besides, I'm rather skilled with this old blade."

He holds it proudly.

Yes. Yes he does. Link nods. If that's what he wants to do, then okay. He'll fight whatever can't be fought with a sword.

"Okay." He summons Epona again, walking with her further into the area. He wishes he could put a hand on her side, but she's not solid... it makes him a little sad.

Aziraphale, with caution, summons Eve to walk behind him, to see if she could spot any creatures he wouldn't be able to spot on his own. Turning his gaze to the horse by Link's side, his Persona, Eve suddenly gives him information on both her name and her arcana.

"Your Persona's name is Epona?" the angel asks curiously. He recalls reading about minor Roman gods, Epona being a horse goddess... it made sense, then.

He grins widely and turns to look back at Aziraphale. "Uh-huh! She's one of my best friends at home. She's brave and loyal and always comes to help me when I need her to. She's really amazing."

[dancingonapin]

"Ah... she's based on someone you know, then?" Aziraphale looks back at Eve curiously. "My Persona is as well, actually. A very, very old acquaintance of mine, someone I haven't seen in ages. It really looks like her, too..." He honestly does wonder what this said about his soul...

"Yeah. I rescued her from the ranch." He'd hug her if he could, but sadly he can't. But Link tilts his head as he looks at Eve, smiling.

"She's really pretty."

[dancingonapin]

Aziraphale smiles at Eve as well. "I rescued this woman as well. She and her spouse needed a fire to keep them warm, so I gave them my sword." The angel holds up his flaming sword. "I wonder if this is meant to symbolize a means of paying me back... it's interesting, to think that she came from within my soul."

The angel looks past Link at a small huddling group of demons ahead. "Hmm... do you think there's a way we could handle those creatures one at a time, Link?"

Link thinks for a moment, and takes out his Longshot. He grins, and squeezes the handle, the hook on the end quickly extending out, spearing one of the demons through the shoulder, and dragging it back, where Link waits with his sword.

He retracts the hook and takes a swing at the demon.

Hah, whoa, talk about an entire armory... How many useful gadgets was he even holding? He certainly seemed well prepared to take on these kind of places, maybe he really did explore 'dungeons' quite often?

The angel follows up Link's swing with a strike of his own on the demon. "Good thinking!"

Way, way too many. He finishes it off with another swing, and puts the Longshot back into his... tunic.

Don't ask how it fits. Magical inventory and all.

He's not going to question it... After all, Aziraphale is able to fit his entire sword in his jacket using a similar manipulation of space, he doesn't find it all that surprising. "What else do you happen to have in your arsenal, exactly??"

Link thinks for a moment. "Let's see... the Master Sword, Biggoron's Sword, the Fairy Bow, the Fire Arrows, the Ice Arrows, the Light Arrows, some Deku Nuts, some Deku Sticks, some Bombs, some Bombchus, a Boomerang, the Longshot, the Megaton Hammer, a Hylian Shield, the Mirror Shield, my Kokiri Boots, the Hover Boots, the Iron Boots, my Kokiri Tunic, the Goron Tunic, the Zora Tunic, the Silver Gauntlets, the Golden Gauntlets, the Lens of Truth, my Fairy Ocarina, and the Ocarina of Time."

It's totally no big deal.

....... He had to ask. "Yes, I see, that's quite a lot of preparation... Perhaps you're much better prepared than I gave you credit for, though there's still no telling what lies further in here. How far in do you plan to go? This place is enormous."

Not to mention he doesn't think it even exists past the Dark Hour. It would turn back into a normal mountain in less than an hour.

He... didn't even think about that. "Oh... I guess it disappears after a while... huh. I'm used to just going in and not leaving until I'm done... I thought I'd see how far I can go, but I guess I have to go half as far as I think I can so I can get out in time."

Rationing trips is a new thing for him.

until majora's mask when he's gotta rush the dungeons~

"It may take a long time to fully explore this place, perhaps it'd be best if we found out more about its origins, or its purpose. It's possible that the people in charge of this city know more," he ponders thoughtfully as he scans the monsters ahead.

I haven't played Majora's Mask actually but I've watched an LP xD

It doesn't seem like it'll follow the same pattern of go in, fight a miniboss, fight a boss, finish the dungeon... this is just weird. He summons Epona again to bash the monsters approaching them.
