Link shifted his shield on his back, as he looked up at the mountain. It didn't really look like much of a mountain anymore, with blood and stone and gears and metal. Still, even with a little bit of nervousness, he would push forward.

Near the edges of the city - because that's what it was, a city now, not a mountain - a blue light and a blue pile of ooze headed towards him. Link raised his sword, and then remembered that he was supposed to be training Epona. Right.

He took a more defensive stance, and yelled as a blue glow surrounded him.

"Hiyaaa!"

Epona appeared, stomping the ground as large rocks shot up from the ground to hit the demons. This was enough for them, and they dissolved. As Epona disappeared again, Link pressed further into the ward. This would take a while to fully explore…

She starts a bit, watching the scene. Then scowls, looking put out. "I knew it was approaching. I could've handled it," she mutters petulantly. Really, who's the child here?

She straightens up. "Anyway, why are you still following me? I said I didn't need help."

"I wasn't, but I heard it heading towards you. You didn't notice it, so."

The long ears aren't just for show, after all.

"How do you know I didn't notice it? Perhaps I was just waiting for the right opening." Uuuuuugh. Did she LOOK like she needed people constantly watching over here? Okay, maybe there was ONE little incident there, but she would've reacted in time. HONESTLY.

... He just shrugs and heads a little way off. He didn't mean to offend her or anything, he was just trying to help.

She hems. And haws. Then hems again.

Damnit. No matter how she plays it through in her head, she owes him one.

She follows him from a distance, keeping an eye out for the slightest bit of trouble. The sooner she resolves this detestable bit of tit for tat, the better.

And in fact there is some trouble. Link is occupied by fighting another demon - this time with Epona - and doesn't notice the large Shadow until it's on top of him. He kicks back at it, but it knocks him aside.

Perfect, perfect. With a tilt of the head, she sends Omoikane forth, a spell causing the creature's movements to slow visibly, before she summons her own series of lightning bolts to descend upon the monster. She just needs to clear up this pest and she'll not own anything anymore! Ho ho.

Link struggles to try to get out from under the thing, and it goes slack as the bolts hit their mark.

"... Thanks."

Now to get out from under this dumb thing...

She sighs. "Oh honestly, you look so helpless under there. Well, I might need this anyway, so."

Another spell casting, and the body floats above him in the same bubble she'd sent the other bodies away with. A little more and it disappears to some place. "Ah, there we go. Seems like I've fulfilled my debt, at least!"
