[Agatha aims the death ray and fires, a loud whirring sound and a bright light emitting from the gun. Zzzap! A beam of light arcs out at the monster.]

Zelgius - Attack, Physical

Finally, the enemy and the reason they had been called here had arrived. Zelgius had no prior experience defeating giant enemies like this, but surely it couldn't be much different than any other fight? He lunged towards the beast, his sword ready to slash. He swung a mighty swing at the monster, hoping to connect and deal some damage.

The monster reels back from the attacks and laughs. It appears to be unharmed, although one of the barriers keeping ti safe from the physical attacks is broken. Undaunted, it first...

Doing a series of bodybuilder poses, it finishes by kissing one of his muscles, as a series of small hearts fly out toward Kotoha's Pokemon...

The Pokemon under the spell move towards the creature and form a physical Pokemon barrier around him, smitten! Since he has no idea how to use their attacks however, it just seems more like body shields than anything else.

It raises its right hand again before charging at Zelgius, hitting him with a lot of physical power. Thankfully his strong physical resistance saves him from being knocked down.

However the same cannot be said for Agatha, who also gets the same treatment. This time she is violently knocked down to the ground by a punch.

The crowd goes wild!

Solar Logos - Quiver Dance | Kotoha - Persona Change, Friendship Express

Volcarona Girl's eyebrow twitches behind her mask as she mutters something under her breath.

"I really need to work on that..."

Okay, right - the entire team trained for this after what happened last time. Rather than press the attack, Solar Logos starts flying in a holding pattern, using Quiver Dance. Volcarona Girl decides to forgo her offense-oriented Persona and summons something else.

"The only rails are the bonds of friendship! FRIENDSHIP EXPRESS!"

The sound of shattering glass accompanies the blue glow of a Persona being summoned - a massive black steam engine. As Volcarona Girl declaims her strongest skill, the rest of the party will briefly feel a surge of energy and a feeling of being protected.

Electricity arcs across her eyes as several screens appear in front of her while Yurika continues to look over it. Also there is a rumble in the air and almost an electricity in it. (That's just flavor text, battleships never come quickly)

[She hits the ground hard, but thankfully her training with Zeetha at least taught her how to take a hit properly. It hurts like hell, but nothing appears to be broken. She scrambles back to her feet, recovering her gun.]

As Ruri scans she nods and lets out a breath, nodding to Yurika as the data flows from her mind to the other combatants.

Persona Switch - Moh Shuvuu, Persona Skill - Magaru

Zelgius's face falls. He just slashed at the beast with a sword and it just laughed it off. What can he do...?

There is one thing. That strange magic of this world, the one that let him summon a legendary hero... Perhaps he could use it. He had gone into the Velvet Room prior to coming here and had been recommended a Persona by the man with the long nose. Ever since the battle with that statue, he had become rather aware that his physical skills and default Persona wouldn't be enough to tackle the more resilient beasts of this world. So now, he changes his Persona, and summons the strange bird-woman. It uses Magaru, and green energy slices at the monster. Hopefully this would be more effective.

Superfly Splash | Dream Street | SPELL

The wind attack hits the creature and seems to do some damage, although not as much as it could be. At least now it's not laughing anymore...

Grabbing one of the battle cages used for the fights with one hand, it makes all of the charmed Pokemon walk right into it before pushing it far far off on the other side of the arena.

Another series of lights and the barrier from before reappears on top of him. It is attempting to make sure it cannot be attacked.

When that's done it claps both groups of hands together as its entire body bursts into flame.

...That can't be good.

Solar Logos - Bug Buzz (Wind) | Kotoha - Bicycle

Volcarona Girl's eyes narrow behind her mask as she decides on a course of action. Signaling to Solar Logos, she holds up two fingers and then points at the Virgo demon before taking her bicycle out of her bag and unfolding it.

"Machine Pokeride, ready!"

As she takes off pedaling at top speed for the cage, Solar Logos rapidly beats his wings, unleashing a green-colored shockwave at the demon.

Ruri continues to scan the monster, relaying the data, but noticing the reflection spell she shakes her head.

"Yurika, can you cancel that? Yes, that sounds good."

[Having gotten back on her feet, she fires again. But this time the sound the gun makes is more of a whiiirrr-zip. It looks like the previous hit knocked something loose. The beam of light still fires, but afterwards several sparks fly from the gun and the lights on it go out.]

Oh, no! Not now!

[She starts fiddling with it frantically.]

Persona Skill - Magaru

"Hmm? What's-"

Zelgius feels the information being relayed into his mind from Ruri's commlink. Ah, so the monster can reflect physical attacks somehow... small wonder his attacks had no effect. He isn't used to having to use the tactics of a mage, but he retreats away from the now-flaming creature and summons Moh Shuvuu once more. Another Magaru goes off. He never had the brains for magic, but for some reason this seems easy enough...

ATTACK | SPELL

The wind spells find their target and it steps aback.

Still on fire, it swats the remaining three with a gigantic slap to their faces, causing both physical and fire damage. Agatha, however, is the hardest hit, since she does not have a Persona's protection to take the damage, and was too busy trying to fiddle with her gun. The fire burns intensely.

The Virgo monster then lets out a loud roar that shakes the very foundation around them.

Solar Logos - Bug Buzz (Wind) | Kotoha - Bicycle

Solar Logos flies up and back before unleashing another Bug Buzz while Volcarona Girl continues to make for the cage on the other end of the arena.

Despite the speed she's moving at, she shows absolutely no sign of exertion at all.

Analyze - Strength Scan / Personal Skill - Nadesico Gravity Blast Cannon (Allmighty)

Ruri shakes her head at the fire and continues to scan while pointing a laser pointer at the monster.

"Yurika keep working. Omoikane, deal with this."

The Nadesico looms over the edge of the stadium in all its battlecruiser glory as the main gun charges and fires at the monster.

[Oh crap. crapcrapcrap. She doesn't have the time to fix this right now. And that thing is huge and now it's hitting her with fire and if she doesn't think of something fast...

But then a light flares up around her and two figures appear before her. One of them speaks.]

I am thou...

[But Agatha is too shocked to say anything other than..]

Uncle Barry....?

[Then the other man speaks.]

And thou art I. From the sea of thy soul, we come. Never fear, we'll protect you.

[Agatha has no words for this. But she's staring now in something approaching wonderment. Because the man with her uncle has to be...

But then they are turning toward the boss, and Bill pulls out something suspiciously labeled 'ocean in a bottle.' He pops it open, and a deluge of water pours out engulfing the monster.]

Persona Skill - Media

Zelgius reels back as the fiery smack hits him. He had been hit with Fire magic before, but this felt a bit... different. His armor could only absorb so much. Seeing that at least Agatha is probably injured, he decides to use some vulneraries have his Persona use Media instead. Hopefully that would ease the pain a bit.

The ship's attack at first seems to cause some damage...but as soon as it gets close to the well-toned ab body, the shot is reflected right back at the ship. It lets out a small laugh...at least long enough as the water hits it, putting out the fire and causing him to hold up all his hand in defense.

He does not look happy. Much more like angry and not on fire. Rushing forward, the lower group of hands grab Zelgius before he had time to react, and throws him directly at Agatha.

Solar Logos - Bug Buzz (Wind) | Kotoha - Deathbound (Physical)

As Volcarona Girl arrives at the cage, Machine Pokeride skidding to a stop as she pulls into a sharp turn to bleed off some velocity. Back at the fight, Solar Logos fires off another Bug Buzz as Volcarona Girl concentrates and summons her Persona.

"Deathbound!"

The steam engine that represents her outer self releases a long, mournful blast before screaming through the cage, shattering it to pieces around the captive Pokemon. Volcarona Girl folds the Machine Pokeride back up and stashes it in her bag again, drawing out a small, strange-looking disc as she does so.

"Scorpina! Gimme a lift!"

Volcarona Girl throws an arm around the six-foot scorpion's neck as it starts to glide towards the fight again, the remaining four Pokemon following behind. Zoroark quickly transforms into a copy of Solar Logos and flies toward the battle alongside Tesla, while Tomoe starts making leaps across the field using Aqua Jet. Arthur, sadly, is just running really fast.
