As the scorpion she's riding swoops over the battlefield, Volcarona Girl lets go and lands on the ground near her moth, already summoning her Persona.

"Mediarama!"

The two remaining fliers - and one shapeshifted flier - swoop in to attack. Ice crystals condense around Scorpina's fangs as she glides down and bites the hand that grabbed Solar Logos, while Tesla releases a cone of sonic energy that assaults the Virgo demon's senses. Zoroark, sadly, doesn't have any skills that can actually harm the demon, so he settles for thinking dastardly thoughts.

The Nadesico continues venting and charging on the monster.

"Yes, I know the comp network is down. I'll get the Nadesico's main gun ready to deal with the missile when it gets here. If anything a few weapon discharges should scare off the pilot if its a short range one or be able to disable it if its a long range missile."

Ruri sighs and continues scanning.

[Missles? Oh, great. Just what they needed. Agatha has gone back to trying to fix her broken death ray, but calls out to her persona.]

[The water attacked seemed to work out a little better than the earth. They comply.]

Another voice in his head? What devilry was this? He had never heard this man's voice before, but the message seemed important. The battle was timed, it seemed. In any case, that meant there was no time to waste. Zelgius commanded Moh Shuvuu to use Magaru once more. Spamming attacks seemed to be more efficient than anything else at this point, though Zelgius really wished that his sword skills could be put to some use.

The attacks found their mark! The creature dramatically falls to the floor before it can do anything else, dropping the Pokemon. It attempts to raise itself up again, but cannot and flails its entire body in pain.

Meanwhile, they could hear the closer sounds sound of what seemed like a few planes overhead. If they didn't expect the spaceship or resistance from it, it was hard to tell.

"Don't do that!" He couldn't scream at them, but the voice certainly sounded louder for a few seconds.

"While they are misguided, you need to remember one thing; this Arena is the city's symbol, its beating heart! If the stadium goes down, the citizens will lose all hope! Do you see why it was rebuilt after the Anoli attack? If it gets more damaged, or worse, completely destroyed, it could spell out a complete headache to us, especially in regards to how the city treats the Visitors..."

In other words, bad. Very, very bad.

"Destroy the monster instead, and prove to the city we still have our place here! If you can stop the planes without destroying the Stadium, do it, but make sure that no one gets hurt!"

It was so much easier when they didn't have these restrictions, but even Q knew the political game behind all of this.

The entire team could feel a wave of energy in them as Q used what he could from afar to be able to heal them.

"Now finish it off!"

He cared, really!

Your attacks have struck true and the beast is on the ground! With Q's words still in your mind, it's time to end this hopefully once and for all!

Arthur and Tomoe have managed to catch up with the rest of the team, which form a loose knot around Volcarona Girl. With a flourish, she draws what looks like a cattle prod out of her bag and points at the downed Virgo demon.

"Ready, go!"

And with that, all seven of them rush in.

"Baka."

Ruri just nods, grabs her baton and charges in to beat the hell out of the monster.

Right!

[With a firm nod and a satisfied grin, Agatha joins them. It's about time this thing took a beating.]

"Very well then!"

Zelgius rushes into the fight, more than happy to get to use his sword on the creature.

The hits, punches, slams and slashes dig deep into the monster as it struggles at the onslaught of attacks. When it is finally all done and the dust settles away, they can see that the monster's massive amount of energy just took a massive nosedive. There are cuts and bruises, as it slowly tries to push itself up again to stand and take a pose.

Only now it looks almost laughably pathetic.

It's not quite over, but at this point it might as well be.

It looks up suddenly, as the team can notice that one of the planes has bypassed Omoikane's system. The roar of the engine right above them blows air into their faces as it hovers in front of the creature. A full ship might have been able to stop it, but with just one lone AI and Ruri occupied during the attack, it was bad luck for all involved.

Does it matter where the missile is fired? In fact who cares if the visitors are there too? Or even if the pilot is still inside and firing nearly point blank? Collateral damage is nothing when the city's safety is in question!

The Trihardo is clouding the pilot's every thoughts.

"What in blazes are they doing?!" Here he had warned the Visitors not to destroy anything and now they might all be paying the price for it!

What happened next?

Well to say no one saw it coming would be an understatement.

Before anyone else could react, the creature's attack had finally reach its full strength. The reddish eyes glowed and with a new-found burst of energy it raised one hand into the sky, as the invisible crowed cheered around them. It ran towards the Visitors in attack, but suddenly swerved and jumped into the air, and attacked the ship instead.

The pilot just had enough time to evacuate before it violently tore out the missile from the ship's side and threw it into the air, then piledrived the entire ship right to the arena's center, causing a small crater. The ship blew up, sending pieces scattering in all directions, but compared to what greater damage it could have done...

The beast landed near them again, looking completely spent, and gasping for breath and energy, the greenish wings that had followed him fizzled out.

A voice rang out in their head again, this time different from Q's. And it seemed that they were the only ones who could hear it.

"You...fought well....finish this...I have no...regrets..."

Volcarona Girl salutes gravely with her cattle prod before gesturing to several members of her team. Scorpina swoops in for another Ice Fang, Solar Logos slams out another Bug Buzz, and Tomoe unleashes a veritable tidal wave as she uses Surf.

Ruri shakes her head and sighs, its not worth calling this whole situation stupid. She walks over to the fire hose, picks it up, points it at the monster and turns it on.

"Q, please advise the attacking pilots I will no longer have Omoikane pull punches and I will prepare a full anti missile barrage if they try that again.

[Agatha is relieved to see the pilot was able to eject in time. The other voice though.... who was that?

But it hardly matters now. With a look of determination, she faces the large creature again, and calls out to her persona.]

The water. One more time!

[That had seemed to work best. Hopefully it will be enough.]

That voice... those were the words of a seasoned warrior, without a doubt. Zelgius had nearly said those very words himself. With a nod, he summoned Moh Shuvuu one last time and sent another Magaru the creature's way. If the voice was coming from the creature and it died with no regrets, then that was for the best.

The attacks tore at the creature even more violently. With the blaze still behind it, the Virgo beast stood, still standing in the pose with one hand raised in the air until it was unable to do so.

The last attack caused it to kneel over. It gave out a final, long roar, that all could hear over the television sets. The greenish wings on the back reappeared again, and all four could all feel a strange pull, as something inside them was being prodded out. The trihardo disappeared from their systems completely.

"Protect...the city...from us....from them. I tried..."

The creature then melted into a blackish puddle much like the other group had found it before, before evaporating and disappearing into the ground completely.

The crisis no one knew had happened was now over, thanks to you.

As the Trihardo fog disappears from Kotoha's mind, she reaches up and removes her mask.

"...hm. So, uh...did anyone else just realize they'd basically completely lost their minds for the past few weeks?"

[Ah, Agatha had thought the masked girl seemed familiar.]

Well... I only just arrived a week ago, so...

No, not really.

Kotoha uses the back of her forearm to wipe the sweat off her brow.

"Well, in that case, welcome to Hinoto-Ri! Sometimes we all go crazy for no reason."

[That is the worst travel advertisement she's ever heard. Then again...

Agatha's lips quirk up in a wry smile.]

Actually, it doesn't sound all that different from back home.
