[Nano has had a very busy month, between Geartopia and finally completing the quest she'd been given by Caroline several months ago.  She's grown and learned so much since coming to Hinoto-Ri, and apparently all of that development was enough to awaken new abilities that she never even knew were sleeping inside her.  Eager to try them out for herself, she's come alone to the wide expanse of the park in the Capricorn Ward to fight some demons.

Fortunately, the kind she was most curious about showed up first, and Nano can be found fighting a group of Heartless straight out of the Kingdom Hearts universe.  She's done this before, but this time there's something a little different about her fighting style - in place of the replica keyblade she'd been given by Naminé, the one she holds now is very much the genuine article.  Adorned with clockwork gears, there's no mistake that this blade is very much an expression of Nano's own soul.

She spends some time darting between low-level Heartless dispatching them with her new weapon until a few larger ones show up.  At this point, Nano spends a moment's concentration to call out her Soul Persona - unmistakably so, considering she summons it directly instead of with the floating tarot card common to Velvet Room Personas.  However, this time instead of the familiar wooden puppet Pinocchio, the puppetmaster Geppetto appears in his place, lashing out with a carving knife in sync with Nano's own strikes.

Clearly, this little robot has done quite a bit of changing over the past year - a far cry from the scared and unsure little clockwork girl that arrived in the streets of Hinoto-Ri last October.]

[ Loken's hearts almost break when he sees Nano practicing with the Keyblade. It reminds him of someone now departed and he... is utterly silent. He winces at the sorcery, but when a heartless draws too close to him he instantly raises his bolter and detonates it in a burst of high velocity rocket rounds. It makes his introduction as well as anything else can. ]

[Nano may be much more accustomed to fighting now, but explosions like that are startling no matter what. She turns around to face the massive mountain of a man, seemingly surprised to see him standing there.]

Don't let your guard up, it's time to fight!

[ He sweeps his chainsword into a heartless, still holding his ground, annoyed that her concentration broke. ]

R-right!

[There are still a few of them left, after all. Nano moves toward where Garviel is standing as she fights, lashing out with her keyblade and cutting through another low-leveled Heartless like butter. Her stance is low and wide, her feet spread apart for maximum stability and to enable her to quickly move in any direction at a moment's notice, her side presented to her opponents to make her as small a target as possible, and her blade held firmly forward in her dominant hand. She's definitely taken Xion's lessons to heart here.]

[ once the heartless are gone, he stares at her weapon with interest, noting the gears. ]

Like the Mechanicus. Interesting. [ He says, apropos of nothing. ]

Oh, speaking of Heartless, seems like Desco has run across them as well if that struggling Neo-Shadow gripped in her claws means anything.

"Sis! Your Persona changed!"

With a twist of her claws she rips the Neo-Shadow in half and floats over to Nano, tail wagging.

"Can you teach Desco how to do that?!"

Actually, I'm still not completely sure how it happened.

"Oh, okay."

Desco's just going to brush the Heartless gunk from her claws and drift over to Nano's side, humming cheerfully.

"Desco hopes hers will change too! Now that she is a successful Final Boss, she doesn't need him as an example anymore."

Mm! It might! I think mine changed because I've gotten stronger and more confident, so I don't see why the same thing couldn't happen to anyone.

[tyrantball]

"Oooo! Okay! Desco's gonna work really hard!"

BEAMING.

"Sis! Let's go on a killing spree!"

[Nano isn't the only one dispersing heartless. Albeit, only the ones with the emblems on them. To her, the other one's are rather inconsequential even if they might hurt someone.

Surprisingly, she isn't actually alone. There are two Dusks accompanying her as she fights. Though their damage doesn't really do anything, they're useful enough for covering Xion from certain attacks and grabbing any dropped loot afterwards.

Xion and both of the Dusks stop when Xion sees Nano, however. When she opens her mouth to shout out a greeting, it... Well, comes out as less of a greeting than Xion would have imagined.]

You have a keyblade?

Xion-san!

[Nano turns as she hears the familiar voice of her friend, pausing only to dispatch one last low-level Heartless before running over excitedly. She doesn't pay the Dusks any particular mind other than a curious glance, but they don't look to be attacking Xion, so she's not worried about them.]

Yes! I got it just the other day!

[She proudly holds it up for the other girl to look at - it's definitely the real thing, with little clockwork gears adorning it, the keychain at the end, and everything.]

But... how?

[She sounds really confused. She had always been told that her and Roxas were special, that only they could use the keyblade.

And yet, here Nano is, with one of her own.]

Caroline-san from the Velvet Room gave me a quest to fight something very powerful at the top of the Castle of Oblivion. Kairi-san guided me there, but the fight turned out to be a test from Caroline-san's brother William-san, to see how much I've grown and changed since coming here. I managed to win the fight, and after it was over, I got this keyblade. He said it was a symbol of the strength of heart I've found over the past year, from believing in my friends and having friends who believe in me.

[All said very matter-of-factly, very pleased with herself.]

But... That doesn't make sense.

How can it be a symbol of the strength of a heart? Me and Roxas have one, but... We don't have hearts. So I don' get it. And... We're supposed to be the only ones who can use it.

[resipiscent]

[He lets Nano take care of the enemies -- the scent of the Heartless drew him here, but when he sees the little android girl, he stands back to watch.

It doesn't take the girl long to dispatch the Heartless, and then he approaches.]

A Keyblade of your own, huh?

[all_wound_up]

Mm! Isn't it wonderful?

[Nano smiles, walking over so he can get a better look at it.]

[resipiscent]

It's perfect. Can I see?

[He holds out his hand, metal palm empty.]

Of course!

[Nano smiles, gingerly holding it out for Riku to look at.]

[resipiscent]

[Riku hefts it in his grip, examining silently. It's not as heavy as his own, and it's balanced nicely. He smiles to himself, then holds it out to the side.]

Now, take it back. But you shouldn't have to reach for it. Call it.

[Senri is in the park as usual, but when he spots Nano he makes a beeline over to her and holds up his comp.

He's pointing at a little paw print icon, and looking at her expectantly.]

Senri-san! Hello!

[Nano walks over, looking down at the icon and blinking.]

Hm? What's this?

[bear_necessities]

[He points at the icon again.]

..... School.

[That explains everything, right?]

School?

[Nano blinks before looking down at the COMP again.]

...May I look, Senri-san?

[bear_necessities]

[He nods and watches with interest to see what she does.]
