Child Event and Blackout Log

Where: Around the city and in the apartments
When: November 15-18
Summary: Little kids everywhere!  Also the power grid is on the fritz.
Warnings: Hopefully none!

With the network and the city's electricity once again malfunctioning, the power to most of the city has either been knocked out or is malfunctioning.  And since inconvenient things rarely happen in a vacuum in Hinoto-Ri, a portion of the city has also been affected by some strange new curse, reverting to childlike forms.  Business in and around the city has ground to a standstill due to the power problems, and without functioning heat in the apartments, extra blankets and huddling together for warmth are the order of the day.  It's still possible to go outside as the government hasn't imposed any additional curfews, and the demons during the 13th Hour are as active as ever, but some people may just want to ride this out until everything is back to normal.

[Is anyone surprised that Agatha became a tiny as well? No, no one is. However, without her memories of the present, and from a time before she found out the truth about her family, she's...a little different. Instead of a quietly depressed child, there is -

Well. There is a toddler bouncing and running around in a park, grinning widely and laughing with her arms spread out to the side like little wings. She doesn't seem concerned with anything serious, and she will actually "fly" around anyone who gets close enough. It's a way of saying hi, really.

Aggie's eyes are now wide and round and kind of shiny and is that a look of awe on her face? Yes. Yes it is.

"THAT IS SO COOL!"

Okay, you, she likes.

"Tell Desco your name!"

"I'm Aggie! Nice to meet you!"

[Bitty, yes; smiling, yes, but that is definitely his niece.]

[...don't mind the hands suddenly lifting you off the ground and the mock-engine-noises that come with, bitty Aggie]

[She's pretty sure she recognizes the mock-engine-noises, so there's just going to be squealing and laughing.]

Uncle, I'm a bir', not a plane!

[It's well-meant, of course. It's an easy mistake to make, she knows that! Especially since birds are supposed to have feathers.]

[Sure, this is probably a temporary thing, but why not enjoy it while it lasts?]

[And then, just as cheerily, Jack makes a few whistling bird noises, holding her higher in the air.]

'Cause, 'cause, you know those birds that don't flap or make any noise or anything? They're so cool! I was tryin' to be one of those!

[Still she's going to flap her little arms a bit because Uncle Said So. :3]

You know what we can do? [Slowly, gently, he settles back onto the ground, then crouches down in front of her and smiles.]

How about we both be birds? A two-bird flock!

But we already are a flock, all of us! Mommy and you and me and the others who come by now an' then!

[She beams brightly, acting as if that answer was totes obvious.]

[For a moment, Jack is taken aback. He's been so used to the quiet, 'needs-no-one-else' older Agatha that seeing her say that so easily...]

[After regaining some semblance of his wits, he beams widely, reaching out to rustle her hair.]

That's right, Aggie. We're one big flock.

[A pause, and then:] Hey... How about we two birds go and get some gummy worms? Birds have to eat, right?

[...BIG GRIN. OH BOY! She remembers those from Halloweens past! Yum yum yum.]

Uh-huh, okay, sure!

[Also big grin because headpats! Yes, good! Today's awesome!]

[There's a little boy in the park, in a long white hospital-like gown. Both he and the gown are covered in blood. He's sitting under a tree, crying.]

[OH dear. She's not even gonna ask, she's just gonna...bring over a water bottle.]

Hey, uh, do you wanna clean off? I brought you some water, so.

[egotrigger]

[He looks up at the girl and shrinks back a bit, afraid.]

I don't wanna hurt you! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!

[Somebody is confuuuuuuzzled.]

But you're the one who's hurt.

Huh? [Tiny Aggie tilts her head.] But you don't look like a bully! You look like you're really sad and you need to wash up.
