Summary: The Ebon Triad is up to no good, and the Shining Trapezohedron has sent Visitors to stop them.
Warnings: Pokemon can get PRETTY DARK sometimes.

No matter what you were doing before, when the dazzling flash of light clears you find yourself at the base of a Ferris wheel in what seems to be an amusement park, a vague memory of someone asking 'Now, are you a boy? Or a girl?' running through your head.

Wherever you are, it's definitely not Hinoto-Ri. And just what are those strange creatures that everyone else seems to be taking for granted?

On the other hand, maybe a waterfowl-like Pokémon would have mostly water-based attacks, and she was already covered there.

"I think I might like something that's good at physical attacks, though."

With that, Kotoha leads Atoli to a small, grassy path in between rows of trees, the entrance of which is just past a small trailer.

"Sure. You know this place better than I do."

The funny thing about The World R:2 was that forested areas were actually really uncommon, especially at low levels.

Not that Kotoha would know much about MMOs. All she owns is Just Dance and the latest Smash Bros game.

Anyway. TREES. MAYBE THERE WILL BE BIRDS.

...like that brightly colored blue one that is aggressively advancing!

"Oh, that's a Taillow! They're strong and fast."

C'mon, send out Patrat! Go go go!

"...Please come out!" she shouted, throwing the Pokéball.

And then there was a little rodent thing with psycho eyes standing in front of her.

"Okay, attack it, but... don't hurt it too badly, okay?"

Unfortunately, she is currently without the benefits of any game HUD. If she could scan it, she would, but she can't.

"...I'll try it anyway," she says, and then gently throws her empty Poké Ball at the Taillow.

"Yes! I got it!" This was worthy of celebration.

Although she can't exactly remember to recall Kotoha's Patrat before rushing over to grab the Pokéball she'd just caught Taillow in.

No worries, Kotoha will just pick Patrat up until Atoli returns his Pokeball. The tiny rodent will simply settle happily into Kotoha's arms, chittering at her about all these weirdos she's picked up.

"Congratulations! You gonna name the little guy?"

"Of course! Even if he... or she, I couldn't really tell - is going to be the only Taillow in Hinoto-Ri, I can't just let him go without a name!"

She takes a few moments to think, but soon comes to an answer.

"...I'm thinking Rustica if it's a girl and Hirundo if it's a boy."

Kotoha reaches into her bag with one arm, awkwardly juggling Patrat as she does so. Drawing out a small red tablet-style computer, she hands it over to Atoli.

"Here, this is my Pokedex. Just scan the Pokeball with it and it'll show you what gender your Taillow is."

She takes it, and, although it takes her a little bit to find the scanning device, manages to get it.

"...It's a girl. Rustica it is!"
