Summary: The Ebon Triad is up to no good, and the Shining Trapezohedron has sent Visitors to stop them.
Warnings: Pokemon can get PRETTY DARK sometimes.

No matter what you were doing before, when the dazzling flash of light clears you find yourself at the base of a Ferris wheel in what seems to be an amusement park, a vague memory of someone asking 'Now, are you a boy? Or a girl?' running through your head.

Wherever you are, it's definitely not Hinoto-Ri. And just what are those strange creatures that everyone else seems to be taking for granted?

"Yeah. Maybe I ate a bad candy or something..." He nods, lifting the ball to show her. "Right here. Do I just throw it?"

"Press the button, then throw, yeah. Shall we go look for a Pokemon?"

"Yeah. I think it'll be cool. I wonder what my pets will think, though...? I've got a dog and a cat back in Hinoto-Ri." He's peering around the forest, clearly expecting something to jump out at him. That's the way Heartless do it, anyway.

[stringsmon]

"Krow!"

A dark shadow swoops out of the trees!

A wild Murkrow appears!

Rather than jumping out at Riku, however, it lands in front of him and starts strutting about, flapping its wings, and cawing, putting on a show.

It is clearly trying to demonstrate its prowess. You are impressed by me, it seems to be communicating. Prove you are worthy of being my Trainer and I will consent to come with you.

It mostly just sounds like a lot of self-congratulatory cawing, though. Murkrows can't speak.

Awesome, it really happened like that. He watches Murkrow's strut for a little bit (it reminds him of Elesa's fashion show), then lobs the Pokeball in Murkrow's direction.

"What should I get him to do? Tackle?"

"Yep! Tackle and then a Pokeball."

Slight pause.

"You're lucky, that's a pretty rare Pokemon in these parts!"

[resipiscent]

"Is it? It's cute." He nods, then looks to Patrat. "Patrat, do a Tackle." Someone does not understand how dramatic Pokemon battles go.

"Okay, so then... I throw an empty Pokeball." He digs in his pocket for the spare, then tosses it at Murkrow. Anticipation go!

"Heh! Awesome! Um... his name can be... Kuro." Sora always said Riku was good at names, and this isn't really a great one, but he thinks it fits the little crow-like Pokemon quite well.

Kotoha is happy for you, Riku.

"Haha, congrats!"

But...

"...you know, there have been a lot of pokemon around Nimbasa that you'd normally never find here...something weird's going on."

[resipiscent]

He looks down at the ball in his hands, then back to Kotoha. "Really? So they must have certain places they live then? That makes sense. But then, why would they come here...?"

"...the most likely is that someone released their Pokemon into the wild recently, but if it were that then you'd expect at least some of them to have evolved..."

She looks...worried, almost.

"Let's go back to the Center and get Kuro healed up, okay? And then I think I need to make a few calls."

[resipiscent]

"Yeah, and if there's a whole lot, did someone just abandon all their Pokemon? That sounds senseless to me."

He nods, ready to follow again. "Okay. Yeah, then you can see your friends, right?" Priorities, he has them.
