[It's M'gann's birthday today. Recent events make celebrating seem a bit inappropriate. With the demons loose in the city and her recent off world trips, She just wants to relax with friends tonight. She's currently sitting on the couch watching her favorite show, "Hello Megan!" on TV (The main character of this show looks oddly familiar.) There are a few snacks on the table. Conner, the Machop she picked up in Pokemon world is also hanging around.]

Hey, come in and pull up a seat. It's going to be a pretty quiet evening but I'm glad you came.

It's just about the best show ever! Here we should start from the beginning.

[M'gann picks up her remote and rewinds the episode to the start. Nano is treated to a cheesy 80s sitcom about a clumsy high school cheerleader. M'gann is paying rapt attention to the TV, even reciting some of her favorite lines along with the show.]

Yeah, it's been my favorite show forever. We used to get the signal on Mars and I watched it all the time.

Wow! The signal went all the way out to Mars?

It took a few years to travel from Earth to Mars, but it got there. Oh this is the best part!

[M'gann turns back to the TV as the television Megan trips off a stepladder and into the arms of her boyfriend.]

Oh, he caught her! How romantic!

Yeah, that's Conner her boyfriend. She usually comes up with elaborate plans to try and impress him.

I can see why though.

[all_wound_up]

Conner?

[Nano glances back to the Machop sitting on the other side of the room.]

Is that where you got his name?

[hello_mgann]

Not exactly. He's named after my boyfriend whose name is Conner too.

[M'gann hopes Nano doesn't make that connection.]

So many Conners...

Just those three. I named the Machop after my boyfriend because they're both strong and protective.

[On TV Megan says her catch phrase, "Hello Megan." Hanging around with M'gann, Nano has heard her use this phrase many times.]

It's no wonder you like this show so much! The main character looks just like you!

[M'gann freezes for a moment at this remark.]

Nano, can you keep a secret?

[all_wound_up]

[Did she say something wrong? Nano's quiet for a moment before nodding slowly.]

What is it...?

You know how I'm a shape shifter right? Well I sort of based my appearance on Megan from this show. When I first came to Earth I was afraid that people wouldn't like me if I looked too different so I picked a look I thought would be friendly. Turns out it really suits me.

[Nano laughs.]

Is that all? That's nothing to be worried about!

But it is. I look really weird in my other form. Even on Mars, people picked on me for being different.

Aren't all Martians green?

Most of them are. It's just that I'm not. In the form I was born into, I'm white.

But I don't like that form, this is the one I like.

If you're more comfortable like this, I don't think it's a problem. You're still the same person no matter what you look like on the outside, right? I think your friends will see that.
