The Shadow Chris either didn't notice or care that Kotoha was calling to him. His face was seriously focusing on the ground without a single word. Suddenly without a word or warning, he casted a wicked smile towards the younger girl.

"Oh, good. Someone strong."

[Caught off-guard, he serves off to the side, hitting against the wall of a nearby building. He stumbles over with a grunt as pain travels throughout his body, and rubs his arm as he looks back up at Aoi, flashing an angry glare before his expression changes to a smirk again.]

Telekinesis, huh? Well you're making use of your talents too! So why can't I use my fire too, huh?!?

[He raises his voice at the last few words, yelling at Aoi before summoning the darker version of his persona, casting Maragi at Aoi.]

...darnit, it actually was 'murderous evil clone'. Kotoha will just brandish her shock baton and discretely palm a Pokeball.

"Okay, I think how this normally goes is we banter back and forth while you reveal embarrassing personal secrets about the guy you're imitating, right?"

[tyrantball]

Desco doesn't bother responding.

"Mega Star!"

Maybe Light damage will do something?

"'S no problem, I know how you feel."
The nonchalance sweeps back in over what little slivers of emotion Dagran had let slip; he doesn't have the excuse of being a Shadow, not yet.
Not that it would do good to get caught up in a slaughterfest if Even decides to go after whoever had wronged him so...The cogs are already whirring in his mind as to how best to turn this to his (their) advantage and keep from sparking a riot with murder.

Revenge is delicate and precious, after all.

Enough of that though; when the blond laughs, he genuinely grins and props his chin up on one hand. It's kind of nice to think that he played a part in making someone else happy, even if it was only minor.
"Hey, don't go down on yourself like that. Once I practiced using my dagger so long that my arm went numb; it's all just...Er, trying your hardest and gettin' caught up in it. Plus, I guess I could spare food if you ever need it too; consider my place your place to take care of yourself if you need it, right?"

Not like he spent much time there anyway. Someone might as well use the bed if they need it.

As I've said, get your results first. If they're flawed, revise your experiment. No one ever said science was easy.

The light damage does, at least, seem to do something. There's a very faint smoking smell, but he doesn't seem to be bothered much anyway.

"You do remember I can't feel pain, right? You're kind of stupid for a final boss."

Well that's certainly a fun expression.

"I wonder about that-! Some attention is good, but if it gets to be too much, it can get pretty troublesome."

Troublesome and dangerous.

"You're really that desperate, though?"

[He smiles, very slightly.]

[So it's a Shadow. So what. Fumi can't stand people not living up to their potential. She sees nothing wrong with this conversation.]

[Even can't stand it either. And therein lies his problem...

The Shadow starts to move away.]

[Fumi sighs and begins moving along herself.]

[And she brings up that barrier again, but she's definitely straining.]

Because... I don't... want to hurt people!

[The words come out between gritted teeth as she puts her concentration into holding up that barrier.]

It takes the Shadow a moment, but he nods. An ally here? He's not entirely complaining. Expecting to be stabbed in the back, still, but he'll take what he can get for the moment... this person can't really be ready to help him in this way. Not out of sheer goodness. Or maybe it's just that he doesn't know...

"Your offer's greatly appreciated. I could likely use somewhere to - get myself together, at the very least."

For whatever he'll be doing next.

[Shortly, from an entirely different direction...

Even's wandering past, but as he sees her, he looks over and gives a nod in greeting.]

Well then, you may be interested in pursuing your yellow-eyed impostor that just left here headed in the other direction about five minutes ago.

[And he starts moving.]

Yes. I think he may be headed for the MAGI facility, based on our conversation.

[Which means she's coming with. Ain't nobody gonna mess with her stuff.]

It's as logical a place to start looking as the next.

We should hurry, then. There's no telling what he might compromise.

[Even steps up the pace, his heart racing in an entirely unfamiliar way.]

[Agatha was looking for Fumi to show her some of the results of her research into Kandori's weapon prototypes. But this is not what she expected to find. And everyone else seems to have a much better idea what's going on. That's what she gets for spending most of the last three days in the madness place....]

I have really got to remember to check the network more often when I'm working...

[Not sure yet which Fumi is the problem, she settles for powering up the odd looking gun she'd been carrying.]
