Atsuro can only manage to grumble a little bit before the flames wash over him. On a scale of one to Maggots Hatching Out of Your Body, he rates it a solid Ouch.

"Maybe kick the request upstairs to that butterfly guy."

Sarah's scale starts at Man-Sized Monster Biting You and tops out at Giant Tentacle Spider Lasers. This rates at Three-Foot Spike Impaling You.

The hands disappear in a flash of light as they begin to circle all of them, although their target appears to be Nano for the most part. If they can't burn or physically hurt her, they'll try to bash her right into one of the many pits that are suddenly appearing across the battlefield.

There's no guess how deep those could be...

[Finally snapped out of the fear effect from earlier, Nano realizes the bind she's in. It doesn't really scare her any less, but hopefully her Persona can help her out.]

G-Geppetto-san...!

[Protected by the mystic properties of being a video game character, Atsuro's clothes are slightly sooty but otherwise intact. He spends a few moments dashing his hat against the ground to put out a flickering flame.]

[...Daidara-bocchi wasn't quite the same size but the sentiment of the meaning was there. Or something. The giant slams its foot down on the chimera closest to Nano. In the meantime, Seiten Taisei who had definitely been here the whole time since he had been written in ten tags again and had Nulled the Phys attack and had been severely burned by the flames, gets himself together and swoops down to try and warp Nano away from the pits.]

Sarah directs Fenrir to cast Maakingu on one of the chimera as she gets up, brushing off her coat.

"Anyone need healing?"

The monsters roar when their prey slips their grasps due to the teleportation spell, and that was made worse when the physical attacks connected, sending the closest of the creatures slamming into the side of the tent, bringing out a part of the tissue with it. There was...nothing? Like pure white. As it bounced back, the tent reformed, and they could clearly see symbols and code flashing before it was repatched.

The creature was wounded, by the other two leaped in front of it, both letting loose an attack of lightening at them, that combined into a dark cloud that let loose thunder and lightening. The noise was incredibly loud, piercing at their ears. They didn't even notice when the mark spell connected and placed back and forth...

Once the lightening had subsided, the monsters attacked, grabbing their necks and shaking them over and over...or at least that's what it seemed like. As the group suddenly found themselves in a strange white area, brought together by fear, it looked like they had failed.

[Nano's return to sanity was such a short reprieve.]

G-game over...? Does that mean we're...

((ooc: Also I thought we'd decided to abandon a specific thread order for the combat group as long as all three of us tagged between boss comments. I could be wrong about that, though.))

"WHAT IS EVEN HAPPENING?!"

Screams Atsuro as Daidara-bocchi smashes the Game Over sign into the ground repeatedly.

"Laksmi will cast Recarm soon! Like right now! She'll do it! Any second!"

"...Hello? What are you three doing here? Is it already time to..."

A voice pierced their minds. Deep and powerful sounding, it left any traces of doubt that it was masculine. There was no one around them, so that just left more questions. But just as suddenly as they had come in, Nano and Sarah disappeared, right back.

"...did everyone just leave?" it seemed annoyed.

Back in the real world, Nano and Sarah would awaken to the beasts trying to push them down the holes again, along with their still comatose friend.

[Finally able to act on her own, Nano breaks free from the fear effect and immediately notices Atsuro still being dragged down into one of the holes.]

Atsuro-san!

[Geppetto, responding to Nano's distress, flies forward to strike out with his carving knife. Hopefully that will be enough to break the monster's grip on her friend.]

Sarah's reaction upon snapping back to reality is immediate - she focuses in on the Chimera she had hit with Mark and snaps out a command to Fenrir.

"Singled Out!"

With a howl, Fenrir fades into the shadows, his chains lashing out at the Chimera and dragging it down as well. There's the sound of bones splintering, accompanied by wet slurping sounds, ending in a lupine belch before her Persona reappears, looking somehow satisfied.

"What?! ...What kind of trick is this supposed to be?"

((I'm actually a little unclear on if the Fear is manifesting itself as the hallucination so should he still be afraid of the room?))

"Tch. I'm not a trick. I'm just wondering why you're here. This place is off limits. Until it's time to..."

In the other world, two things happened; one, the monster was pushed back violently, saving the boy's body in the process, two, there remained nothing of the monster but a few drops of dark shadowy essence. The other two monsters suddenly turned over, in clear pain at having part of themselves completely gone and missing.

> ROLL 1-10 FOR AN ALL OUT ATTACK!

[All-out attack! Nano capitalizes on her earlier attack, manifesting her keyblade and rushing toward the monster in an attempt to strike it down for good. The grinding of gears and ticking of clocks can be heard as the strange weapon spins into high gear, thrusting toward the creature.]

As Sarah rushes forward, she swings her God Arc horizontally, aiming to impale the Chimeras on the points of the wing-like blade's 'feathers'. Hopefully the paralytic venom that leaks from the blade will kick in, as well.

"...Huh."

Atsuro calms down a bit at this placid response.

"Until it's time to... reach the end of the game? Give me a pat on the head? What?"
