Walking in sunshine

Who: OPEN (Other than the one section specified)
Where: Virgo then wherever Casa de Monster is.
Summary: Johnny wakes back up in Hinoto-ri...and it's nice and sunny out. He does some shopping, then heads home.
Warnings: None right now, will update in the future

[Waking up when he couldn't remember going to sleep was becoming ridiculously familiar to him. It took him a couple moments and the feeling of soft cat fur rubbing against his arm to put all the pieces back together, Vatheon, coming here, Vatheon for seemingly an hour more and now back here. He was getting whiplash.

Once everything was sorted in his head, that was when he took a real look at his surroundings. Judging from the hustle and bustle, it sounded like the Virgo district...and based on how bright everything was, this was definitely closer to midday and not evening.]

Minea, we have the worst luck.

[The cat demon meowed and looked up at him with a 'what now?' expression.]

Well, we either wait here for sundown and hope the sunlight doesn't get any further into this alley or we take our chances.

[Yeah, waiting sounded worse. The vampire stood and a crackle of energy filled the air in the alley. A thick cloak wrapped itself around his shoulders and made a hood over his head, gloves materialized all the way up to his elbows and obnoxiously large sunglasses formed on his face.

So dressed, he headed out into the crowd with the intent of shopping--he wouldn't be surprised if those under his care hadn't thought to do it themselves yet. However, between the hood, the large sunglasses and the cat perched parrot-like on his shoulder, seeing anything that wasn't straight ahead was a tad difficult and made running into people unfortunately easily.

[Groceries in hand, Johnny returned home, opened the door and ran face-first into an invisible wall filling the doorway.]

Oooooowww.

[Of course, he'd been gone, so this technically wasn't his home anymore meaning invitation rules still applied. He pouted at the doorway and handed off the groceries to Minea who, it would figure, wasn't bound by the same rules but couldn't invite him in herself.]

Ah...hello? Otoha? Desco? Sam? Is anyone home...?

[He certainly hoped so, covering or no covering, the sun felt like a fire at his back and wouldn't turning to ash on his own doorstep just be embarrassing?]

((OOC: Feel free to run into Johnny in the market--literally or not--or tag in with your character doing something and Johnny can react/interact!))

Why yes Johnny is in fact receiving the Desco Octopus Hug™ now.

"Oof. Ahhh.." Processing. hug Recieved. "DEEESSSCOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Aaah I missed you, have you been eating properly? Have you been getting enough sleep?"

Desco will now find herself enveloped in a pair of long arms and being squeezed right back.

"Uh-huh! Desco was...Desco was really sad without you around, but she knew you wouldn't leave unless you really needed, so she promised...promised she wouldn't cry, because...b-because..."

Okay yes she is just going to let everything out now, because she held back a lot of tears when you vanished.

He pets her hair and just holds her, his shirt is good for catching tears.

"Shh...it's okay I'm here. Cry all you want and then, when you feel better, I'll take you out and we can go do whatever you want, anything at all! How does that sound?"

Let him spoil you rotten, Desco, what else are uncles for?

Desco eventually cries herself out, and then seems to remember something.

"...oh! Since you're back, should Desco cancel the work order for your memorial statue?"

Slow blink.

"....I think so, yes. Ah...what was it going to look like? If it's nice enough, we could put it in the front yard anyway."

He's vain enough to admire his own memorial, sue him.

"Desco was thinking a 30-foot bronze statue."

"Hmm....that might be a bit much. Maybe we'll scale it down to eight and call iit good. Then when the holidays come around we can dress it up or decorate it however you'd like."

"Yes! And then there'll still be enough money in the budget for a dessert shop!"

[The person who comes to the door is definitely Sam, looking bedraggled as ever. He blinks, looking slightly surprised, before he gives a shrug.]

Oh. It's you.

[There's a pause.]

[And then he closes the door because wow like he particularly cares YOU CAN GET IN YOURSELF YOU ARE A GROWN MAN.]

Sam!

[Door in face. He blinks at the door for a moment then Sam will hear a loud whine from the other side.]

Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamm! Please let me in, I can't come in unless you say I can.

[Come on Sam, don't be a jerk.]

What, seriously?

[He opens the door again, hand on his hip.]

You're...not pulling my leg, right? You literally can't come in?

I mean it.

[He puts a hand out to reach through the doorway but just as it reaches the middle of the threshold, it stops and presses against something solid that isn't there.]

Vampire rules, it's to stop things like me from sneaking into stranger's houses and slaughtering them in their sleep.

Ahh...but the sun's out and I'd really rather be inside.

[Otoha dragged himself to the door, tired and very slightly hung over. Shit, what time was it? He had to start getting ready for work soon. But whoever the hell was at the door sounded kind of insistent.]

[He opened the door, staring groggily at Johnny. ... Wait. Otoha's eyes widened, and he reached out to touch the other. ... Not a hallucination or something stupid.]

... Get in here.

[He dragged Johnny past the threshold, and squeezed his shoulder a little - before punching him in the gut. Not too hard, but enough to be painful, at least to a human.]

[Vampire or not a punch to the gut still hurts and his arm instinctively covers his stomach but then his other arm is wrapping around Otoha's shoulders and pulling the taller man into a clinging hug.

It might have only been an hour or so to him, but Otoha was still gone when he went back and he knew he'd only been gone longer here. He was allowed to miss his partner in that time.]

Hey yourself tall, dark and handsome. Miss me?

I -

[He wants to deny it, but he knows he did. The way he wraps his arms around Johnny, the way his fingers curl into the fabric of his clothes, the way he shakes ever so slightly as he just stands there and hugs Johnny.]

[He leans his head into the other's cheek, sniffling slightly.]

... Yeah. I...

[He takes a deep breath, and lets the tears fall.]

I thought I'd lost you.

[His voice is quiet and strained, and he just rocks the other for a few moments.]

Every day, I missed you.

[His chest tightens and there's stinging in his eyes upon hearing Otoha like that. He moved his hold so he could bury long fingers in the man's hair, stroking it lightly.]

I'm sorry. I'm so sorry...I'll make it up to you, no more leaving.

Ah..what kind of a partner am I, huh?

[He pulled back a bit, bringing both of his hands to wipe at those tears and rest on Otoha's cheeks.]

May I kiss you?

[He leaned forward again, pulling Johnny into a light kiss. Not for too long, but... enough. He tightened his grip and then pulled away again, clinging to him.]

... Are you feeling all right?

[He has no idea if Johnny is hungry or not. Him being gone has thrown off the usual feeding schedule in Otoha's head. ... Not to mention the rest of his normal schedule, too.]

[It's enough for him and he smiles.]

Hmm....are you just trying to come up with a way to get me into your bed? All you have to do is ask~

...But, yeah, I've been better. I know I'd prefer skipping out until we can get back on track, but I know you'd rather I didn't.

[His arms snaked behind Otoha's neck and while his smile had that hint of playfulness, the way he clung close to the taller man said he wasn't feeling nearly as light about all of it than he was letting on.]

Truth be told, I'd rather pester you all night, no matter what form that takes. Mmm.....which reminds me; do we have to go to work...?

Yes, we do.

[He pokes Johnny's nose gently.]

I found a new DJ for the place, at least. I put out a call for more workers. But we should get you fed first.

[The poke gets a smile from him even though he was trying to pout instead.]

Mmmm~ Otoha taking charge while I was away...how sexy~

[He released his hold on his human and took Otoha's hand instead, using it to lead him to the bedroom. He would argue about feeding next time, for now he just wanted to get back to the life he'd almost lost.]

[He follows along easily, squeezing the other's hand.]

Well someone had to be the responsible adult. At least now that you're back I don't have to be that as much.

[He's still kind of a big kid in a lot of ways, he can't help it.]

[And barely, just barely, Hizumi manages to dodge out of the way. Lightning sharp reflexes, they come in handy.]

Whoa! Careful!

[If he finds anything odd about the man's chosen attire, he doesn't show it.]

Aah! Sorry, I couldn't see you.

[Johnny tugged at the hood to make sure it was fully covering his head then checked the boy over. He seemed fine and he smelled fine, but manners demanded he ask anyway.]

Are you alright? This get up makes it a little hard to see.

I'm fine, I'm fine. You didn't actually hit me or anything.

[Nope, nothing odd about this kid at all, unless Johnny's got a nose for selective immortality.]

Ah... It's not something you can take off easily?

A-are you all right, sir?

[Said just after Johnny bumped into Nano while she was doing a bit of grocery shopping of her own.]

[Minea meowed indignantly at being jostled but stayed where she was as Johnny half reached out to the girl he ran into as if she was about to fall over any second.]

Oh! My apologies...I'm fine, I'm the one who ran into you. Are you all right?

Yes, I'm fine! Don't worry.
