Where: A nice little bakery in the Virgo district.
Summary: There's someone new working at the shopping ward. He looks a little weird, but his sweets seem pretty appetising...
Warnings: None that I can think of, save for Shelly being kind of creepy as usual Probable Dual Destinies spoilers in the thread with Bobby!

Maybe you're a regular at this bakery. Or maybe you've never noticed it before. Either way, there is a new face selling baked goods here! A kind old man with a white streak on his hair is taping a few flyers to the window, announcing some appealing new deals and brand new desserts for sale.

Come a little closer, and you may catch his eye. You may also notice the line of stitches running down his face.

But with a smile like that and delicacies like these, who wouldn't want to come right in and buy something?

Midori absolutely would want to come right in! After all, she's a paying customer, she's got the right.

"He~llo~ Good afternoon!"

"Good afternoon, young miss." He greets her with a bow. How nice to see someone in such a good mood. "How may I help you?"

[prettytamer]

"I'm looking for something to get my girlfriend for Valentine's Day. Do you have anything special for the holiday?"

Discounts would be great.

[dekillerqueen]

The statement makes him pause for a second. Then he composes himself and begins pondering what people might wish to have on Valentine's Day, in particular. There were some heart-shaped boxes in the storeroom, weren't there? He could use those.

"Ah, I suppose chocolate bonbons would be the traditional thing, no? I can certainly provide those. Unfortunately," and he does sound truly regretful, "I do not have any ready today. My sincerest apologies. If you come back tomorrow, I will gladly let you have the first batch."

Pitifully short-sighted of him, really, but he seldom has to think about this holiday.

[prettytamer]

"Really?" Midori lights up even more. "You would, the very first? I bet there's going to be a big demand for them! I'll definitely be back first thing tomorrow!"

[dekillerqueen]

"I would advise you to come early, indeed. Do I have your word that you will be here, then...?"

He seems... a bit more serious about this than one might expect of a baker.

[prettytamer]

"Of course!"

Lucky for Midori, she's enthusiastic enough to actually come first thing tomorrow, rather than break her word. Wonder what would happen if she didn't come.

[dekillerqueen]

This baker would be very displeased, at least. He has a certain distaste for people who break promises.

"May I know your name? For organisational purposes, you see."

He has the impression he may have heard her voice before, but it doesn't hurt to make sure.

[prettytamer]

"Sure, it's Midori Komaki. What's yours?"

It's only fair.

[dekillerqueen]

"Ah, yes, now I remember. You were one of the first people to greet me." He gives her a polite bow. "I am John Doe."

[prettytamer]

"Oh!" She bows back quickly. "Nice to meet you in person."

[dekillerqueen]

"Quite," he says as he writes her name down. "We open at 8. I hope to see you then."

[prettytamer]

"I'll be there."

And she actually will be prompt.
