Reveal the Never Found Now
Who: Soujirou Seta, OPEN
Where: Libra Ward
When: February 4th, the 13th Hour
Summary: Another world to get used to- better train!
Warnings: N/A
It only made sense to him that if he was expected to fight and protect others in this city, then he had better figure out if there were any differences in doing battle here. The most obvious way to go about it was to experience it firsthand, even though he was sure that his guild members would have objected to his doing so alone.
Still, Soujirou wouldn't be able to deny the slight thrill he felt in preparing to venture out at night. Even though he probably appeared oddly dressed in his full battle equipment, he was comfortable in it, as he felt a Level 90 Samurai should be. He had no problems walking around like this, especially given that Adventurers already had a much better stamina than they would have had in the Old World.
He wasn't even sure he'd find anything around this Ward, and it wasn't as though the guide that Kotoha had shown him had said much about demons other than that they were around this mysterious "13th Hour." He doubted they had particular respawn points...
Pausing, Soujirou had to laugh at himself as he realized he was slipping into game-thinking again. He tapped a knuckle against his head with a sigh. "I guess even with the surroundings being so different, I still can't help but think I'm in a game," he said to himself, glancing down at his gear with a muted smile.
Not a second later, the easy expression had faded as he tensed, his hand slipping to one of the two katana sheathed at either side of his waist. Was that a noise, just now? The skies had long since turned that strange if not disturbing shade of red. At the very least, the samurai knew he wasn't the only one out here.

So far, so good! he thinks. The creatures do indeed seem low-level, so the samurai isn't worried about their numbers at all. Besides, between him and Desco, the Ogretails definitely wouldn't last.
It's the sound of the creatures as they fire off their tail spikes that catches his attention, and it's more out of reflex that Soujirou jumps back, sweeping his katana up into a defensive position. Even though Desco boasts a much higher level than him, it's out of habit that he takes up a protective position before her.

"True Godly Weapon."
The explosion blows away the rest of the Ogretails attacking at range as Desco beams with self-satisfied pride.

It's all he gets out as Desco goes on to completely obliterate the monsters before them. He shields his eyes from the blinding blast, staring thereafter in awe at the demon girl's handiwork.
"...whoa..."
no subject
"As the Final Boss, Desco is a mid-range tank character! Her impenetrable defenses are complimented by her wide variety of mid-range AoE attacks!"
Grin grin.
"This is balanced out by her low movement rating and situational stat bonuses, of course. Desco is strongest when surrounded by girls! Truly, she is a Final Boss worthy of the smash hit Disgaea SRPG series!"
no subject
He laughs. "I haven't played many RPGs of that sort, but I'm not all that great with tactics, I'll admit. That's more Shiro-senpai's forte." He smiles over at Desco again.
"But at least I know I won't have to worry about Desco-chan. Even if you don't need my help, I would like to offer it when I can, regardless."

With that, Desco draws on the power of Yog-Sothoth, the Key and the Gate, and opens a portal back to her house, which she quickly ducks through. It takes maybe thirty seconds for her to come back out, perched on top of a thing, grinning broadly with shark-like teeth.
"Behold, Desco's favorite pirate ship, the Miss Fuka! It looks just like Big Sis!"
no subject
He's not sure how that thing makes up a ship, but who's he to argue? "That's...a very unique looking ship!"
no subject
And now she is making a beckoning gesture.
"Now, hop on and we'll go raiding!"
no subject
"Okay! Here I come!" And hop right up, he will!
no subject
"Okay! Hold onto your tail!"
...oh well the ship flies.

Oh look robots.
"Ah! Let's go beat them up!"
no subject
At least, he wouldn't argue that having a flying ship would be pretty cool. Although then again, isn't that what planes are for? Oh well.
Ooh, target sighted! Soujirou looks down, beaming. "Yeah!" No, not difficult for him to get pumped up about this at all. It's probably not all that surprising if he jumps down from the ship to strike before they've descended completely.
no subject
"Desco accepts this bountiful feast!"
She wrenches one of them in half with her primary tentacles, each of which starts chewing. There's a blissful smile on her face as this happens.
"Ahhh, Desco can't get enough of this flavor!"
no subject
"You eat these too?" He glances briefly in Desco's direction as she munches, his blade colliding with a blaster to keep it from aiming properly.
no subject
"Yes! It is a necessary nutritional supplement Desco needs to manufacture her mini-Desco Decoys!"
By way of explanation, one of her secondary tentacles bulges and throws up a miniature version of her secondary, tentacle-based body.
no subject
"Oh! That's useful!" he pipes, pausing after a sword thrust to see the duplicate being formed. He plants his foot against the Hunter he'd impaled, shoving it back as he yanks his blade away.
no subject
The Decoy floats leisurely over to another Hunter, latching onto its face before detonating.
"Plus they explode!"
no subject
Desco's Decoy explodes just as Soujirou brings his sword down upon the other Hunter. He turns back towards the little demonness as the two halves collapse, flashing a thumb's up at her. "Nice!"
no subject
Her primary tentacles make gulping sounds as they finish chewing on the robot. She grins in response to the compliment.
"Of course!"
no subject
no subject
"YOG-SOTHOTH!"
...well. That was certainly...Desco becoming some sort of monstrous, Godzilla-scale starspawn and raining down unholy destruction on all those robots, yes.
no subject
Soujirou shields his eyes from the brilliant blast that follows, rather glad that he's not the unfortunate target. He's sure that even a city Guard could have been taken down by that attack.
It's cleared the remaining Hunters, that's for sure. Once confirming this, the samurai sheathes his blade, glancing at Desco as he applauds.
