[Game Opening, Part 4 : Mission 2 - Fire the Arrow of War]
Who: Jun Kuga, Theodore, Yamato, Ludwig, Elizabeth Middleford, Atsuro, Aoba, Urataros, Volstagg
Where: The Saggitarius Research and Development lab, wards C4 & B4.
Summary: Help defend the prototypes and barricade the labs.
Music: Castle of the Four Gods
Warnings: Combat! Action! Science!

The build itself seemed unimpressively gray, four stories tall, lacking in windows, and yet oddly cylindrical. There seemed to be some sort of commotion on the roof, but there wasn't much time to examine the exterior. Once the group had stepped close to the front door, they were almost immediately ushered up the emergency staircase, to the fourth floor. The lights within the R&D department were almost blindingly clinical, with many of them being backed up by black lights. The combination made the area a little jarring to stand around in, but it seemed the COMP glasses came in handy for that, cutting some of the dizzying effects.
The fourth-floor door was opened wide by an odd looking pixie, who seemed to regard the group coldly before gesturing them in. Behind her was a black-haired teen, no older than seventeen at most, frantically standing at a console and typing away. The room was completely white, littered with odd gadgets and glass enclosures straddling other computer terminals. The room seemed to be bustling with energy, even with the presumed lack of people in it. The pixie floated over to the teen, tapping him once on the shoulder to get his attention, before he spun around fast and harsh.
"Oh! Good, just barely in time, thank you..."
He dragged a gloved hand over his tired face, and gave a half-sort of bow. "My name is Ideo Hazama. I'm one of the head researchers..."

The screen behind him beeped, and he immediately turned back to it with a muttered curse. Seems he was going to be explaining the situation with his back turned, then! "The Anoli began their attack from the roof, breaking in to ward C4 first- we didn't expect them to be so daring. Several of our most potent prototypes are housed in B4, as well as here in D4." The labcoated teen gestured to the screen, and a map of the floor came up; it seemed to be in real time, showing blips for enemies and damaged doorwars. "Our first priority is to keep this area secure, while taking back B4. Once that is under control, we can push them out of C4, then pursue them to the roof if needed." As he spoke, Ideo gestured across the map without looking at his audience directly. He was probably not a people person anyway. "We cannot allow them to leave with the prototypes we have here...lives depend on this."
Finally, he turned back around, pointing to the doors labeled A4. C4, for the time being, seemed to be guarded by several imposing demons. Odd. "Reiko is in A4 right now, with the frontal assault force. The rest of our team is guarding the other emergency stairwells that lead downstairs. When you have cleared B4, my forces here will go through to C4 and meet you for a pincer attack. I would like to request that some of you stay here, in case we have trouble- everyone else, make your way to A4."

[OOC: As with every log like this, you are free to start your own sub-thread and have your characters stop swarms of monsters on your own. The place is being invaded by demons as well as Anoli! Don't forget to write your character's Persona awakening as well! Finally, here is a map, for easier comprehension!]

"Should I blame fate? Or my own luck? There are hardly any ladies in this group at all." Ordinarily, he'd have liked to pass the time with some pleasant conversation, but the mood in here was so serious.
no subject
"Does that matter for some reason? I don't believe there would have been a change in skill, unless it had been one of three certain ladies I can think of."
no subject
"Don't you have a special someone?"
no subject
"I suppose I do. She's rather remarkable."
no subject
"Yes, let's discuss her. Is she cute? What are her hobbies? Does she have a charm point?"
no subject
Along with taking him to see the outside world, of course. But that's private.
"What is a charm point?"
no subject
"You don't know what a charm point is? Something special about a lady, something that sets them apart. You take one look at it and think, 'Aha! That's it!' Sometimes it's a cute dimple, or their specialty dish. Or the way they give their all for their work." Surely Theodore would know what Urataros was talking about.
"You know, I'd like to meet this lady of yours. What's her name? Is she here?"
no subject
"Her scent... That is, her presence. It's very noticeable when she walks into the room that she has a very pleasant one all her own." Yeah, he's got it way bad. Like a high school girl except he hasn't written her name in hearts in his compendium. At the last part, however, he frowns. No. Way. There was no chance he would allow Minako to bond with a person like this.
... He's not entirely sure why he doesn't want her to, since any bond would be a good bond for returning Persona to their rightful place, but he simply doesn't want her to. Theodore fixes a cold stare on Urataros as he continues. "She is here, though she was dispatched for another mission. I cannot give her name due to... resident-guest confidentiality."
First lie he's ever spoken.

And just a little of his stress ebbed away from trying not to laugh. Way to cockblock, Velvet Attendant. He was frankly impressed with your quick defense.

He smiled. "It's a small city. Sooner or later, I'm bound to run into her. With or without your help. Wouldn't you rather be there to supervise the visit?"
no subject
"You have my word that she is just as wonderful as I have described, and we will meet when we do. I plan to seek her out once the city is safe." And besides, he didn't even know this person's name. "What is your name? I will arrange something if possible."
Second lie! Like the Crawling Chaos's victory he would.
no subject
"You can call me Urataros. Got it? U-ra-ta-ros." He beamed at Theodore. "Nice to meet you."
no subject
"I am Theodore, and the feeling is mutual." Mostly. Your pompous attitude isn't helping you one bit. Other than that, he's full prepared to work with Urasstaros.

"It's most likely that their abilities were more useful elsewhere."
Re: threadjacks owo
"I guess it doesn't really matter. Either way, there's no solace for me here. And I was really hoping for a loving embrace to fall into." Sigh. Urataros's life was pain.
"Oh, well. The day's not over yet. If we finish this quickly enough, perhaps a stroll along the city streets in the evening..."
no subject
She draws up her dignity and looks him in the eye. Ladies keep their thoughts as close as the gloves on their hands, but seeing as ladies have more freedom to speak in the future, she ventures to say what she wouldn't have in the past.
"How can you be so sure of our victory?"
no subject
"Because I'm here, of course. And we can't lose." Urataros spoke as if this were a matter of course. And for him, it was. Bad things never happened for long. Besides, these Anoli guys weren't even destroying time.
"You weren't planning on giving up the ghost here, were you?"
no subject
"Of course not. I have someone to go back to."
no subject
"Neither of us are going to die, and we're all getting back in one piece. See? Nothing to worry about."
no subject
"I suppose it does us well to be confident of our victory, though we should still be cautious. This is an entirely new environment-- at least it is to me."
no subject
So basically Urataros could afford to be chill. Especially since the DenLiner would probably come by later and pick him up. "That's a bad habit you have there."
no subject
Biting down on her lip distractedly, she murmurs a soft "What is?" before touching her lips.
"Oh. Mother is always telling me the same."
no subject
He motioned vaguely with one hand. "Of course, we didn't have Personas or anything. It's good that your mother looked after you."
