Who: Pit. OPEN.
Where: Starting from the Libra apartments, but anywhere, really.
Summary: THIS. IS. WAR!!! Or: Pit goes clubbin'.
Warnings: Pit

Pit's pretty sure he doesn't have to go to work today.

Which means he's free to wear his tunic.

Which means he's free to go outside his apartment with a club and start clobbering some scorpions. Normally, this club wouldn't be his first choice; but he found out by accident that its strength had increased significantly, as had one of his claws. But claws aren't good against creepy crawly things on the ground, so club it is!

A bit unfortunate for the people who try to attack him, alas, though he tries to be generous with his ~~pixelated~~ shiny new persona, which, he has found, has a handy if not terribly accurate instant-KO skill.

But it's not terribly accurate.

Which means most zombies get clubbed.

Maybe it was lucky for Putput, but someone just got a brand new shiny Persona that had much more accurate skills. Suddenly, a spout of water hit one of the scorpions before pit, followed by a bang and another one bursting into flames.

Somewhere behind him, his first new "best friend" was jumping down from her perch on a building, bouncing off an awning and sending two more flaming bullets toward the scorpions before landing on her feet on the ground. Behind her, a watery maiden floated down to the earth, waving her hand and giving Pit a defensive boost.

"Looks like you could use some help there, chicken wings!" Rune declared, sounding way too happy for someone that just used an insult to describe someone.

"The name's Pit," he insists, "and I was doing fine by myself!"

Except one of the scorpions leaps up and bites him, causing Pit to make that lovely "waugh" sound he makes when he's poisoned.

In her rush to get to the more populated areas of town, Latooni was happy to stumble over someone she'd already promised to help. After pausing a few seconds to make sure the girl she didn't know was attacking the scorpions and not the - wait, did Pit always have those wings? This is what she gets for not talking to more people in person.

Anyway, they needed help, so both of the other combatants probably heard Latooni shout "PERSONA!" in a high-pitched voice before the image of a beautiful if...oddly-shaped woman in a flowing dress appeared and cast Rakukaja on all three of them.

"Um...that should have increased your strength, so keep going!" Latooni yelled as encouragingly as possible for her. "Do I have anything for poison...?"

Rune paused to look back at the new person. Hunh... she had a back up type too, hunh? At least it wasn't... anything like what she had. Lucky girl...

She shook off the depressing thought, raising a gun toward her in greeting.

"Thanks for the boost!"

...and then Pit was being bit in the face by scorpions. Seriously, chicken wings, you are such a handful! Rune flicked a gun back to normal fire, taking careful aim before sniping the damn bug off his face.

"Careful, Pit! I don't have anything to cure status effects."

...because what is the fourth wall when it comes to video games and their tutorial sections?

"I shoulda picked a weapon with a good status recovery stat."

But whatever. He goes back to fighting the monsters as if his health isn't being drained slowly--except for when he stops and stares at the MASS CARNAGE caused by swinging his club.

This club's charged shots weren't even that good...!

Latooni decided not to wonder what they were talking about. Frankly, Ryusei and Lt. Excellen usually made exactly this much sense on the battlefield, and she'd just learned to roll with it.

"The enemies...well, they're giant scorpions, they don't have magic or anything," she said, after invoking her Persona again to do a Basic Scan to make sure of that. "We'll need to get out of here to cure that poison, though!"

"Right!" Rune called back to their support, eyeing the damage Pit was doing. Seriously, chicken wings, what the heck...? She switched both guns over to fire again, lighting the scorpions up as her persona drowned them.

"Pit, fall back!" she ordered. "We'll shoot and run, and get you healed up!"

"I'm fine!" he protests--but he has a feeling they aren't going to let him get away with that. So he reaches into his tunic, pulls out his small box o' powers, and presses a red shape.

SUDDENLY, GIANT DOME OF FIRE FROM NOWHERE.

Well, that was...wait, what?

"Uh...did that get them all?" Latooni asked, blinking. She had a feeling her Persona was supposed to be able to tell that, but the huge and sudden dome of fire made it hard to tell. "Are you both alright?"

Rune swore loudly and colorfully as the explosion went off, shielding her face as she stumbled back. Not cool, Pit; not cool at all! It was a moment before she trusted the fire to go down before she lowered her arms... and whirling a massive glare onto the little angel.

"Man, what the hell was that?!" she bellowed. "You could have gotten us killed!"

"It only hurts enemies!" he shouts back. "See?"

And indeed, the only scorpions that are in the area of the blast are ones who had just recently scurried in.

"Oh, it's like Cyflash. That's okay, then," Latooni said. Oh, wait, there were still more scorpions.

"Vasilisa!" she yelled, smashing a couple of them into the ground as the princess-y Persona crushed them under her heel with a Skull Cracker attack, revealing the bottom edge of a leg that was a lot more like a frog's than a woman's. Well, there were weird Personas out there.

"We should fall back to somewhere more defensible."

"I'm all for that, we're sitting ducks out in the open," Rune agreed, switching her guns back to normal fire, before shooting as quickly as she could pull the trigger, popping off scorpion after scorpion.

"Got any distractions in your pile of tricks, Pit?"

"I could throw another Explosive Flame, but I've only got two more of those left. It'd be a waste. I was hoping you two would've gotten the hint and bailed as soon as I threw it."

"Then why are we talking instead of running...?" Latooni asked, rhetorically. "The apartments are this way, I think!"

With that, she begins backpedaling and directing her Persona to smash more of the bugs. If nothing else, it tended to stun them.

"C'mon, chicken wings!" Rune shouted at Pit, reaching over and grabbing a fistful of feathers from said chicken wings as she tried to get him to retreat with them.

"Owowowowow!" he whines. But he's dragged away, anyway, even if he's in too much discomfort to ward the scorpions away with his persona.

This is like pulling his arm, only, like, a really thin arm!!!

Latooni, aside from finding this situation vaguely familiar somehow, leads the way, turning back occasionally to let Vasilisa cover the other two with curbstomps or fired icicles.

Not that she had any idea why it could shoot icicles, but when you have a weapon that works, worry about the current combat situation before questioning it.
