Where were all the scorpions coming for, and would the waves ever end?!

"FUCK!!!" Shura shouted as Shiva appeared behind her, unleashing a powerful Hassohappa at the newest wave of scorpions. It gave Shura time, but barely, to fall on one knee and vomit her lunch thanks to the scorpions' poison before more appeared.

If she doesn't die, she'll be here all night, defending Pisces as if it was her home, as she has been all day. Stick around about sundown and you'll see her markings appear!

Although Yamato resided in the Libra apartment building, the area had become so swarmed with scorpions and crazed citizens - natives and non-natives - that Yamato had been forced to depart for greener pastures.

Or a place where he could stand for two minutes without getting swarmed.

He ended up in the neighbouring ward, the Pisces ward, and outside the building - oh, who should he see but the female demon from the gym. He hadn't seen her since that day, but it appeared she was struggling against the horde.

Yamato normally didn't do the Big Damn Heroes trope, but, well, safety in numbers. She didn't appear crazed or hysterical like most people, and Yamato himself could only last so long by himself before he was overcome.

As the newest wave of scorpions surged towards Shura, Yamato cast Judgement - the dark sky splitting open with a loud shriek as a burst of light slammed down on the scorpions. The monsters screeched in agony, but it was enough to send them scuttling away for now.

Yamato jogged over to Shura, Remiel flanking him, and cast 'Prayer' almost immediately. Heals all health and status problems oh yeah.

"Having difficulty?"

"A little," she admitted before looking at her saviour. Oh, it's the man from the gym... Well, he helped her. That's what counted. She was in no state to refuse help. "I've been here since this morning and they keep coming without end!"

"Yes, there doesn't seem to be a discernible source..." Yamato muttered, turning to glare at the horde of scorpions beginning to regroup. "Tch. Pests. They are nothing more than a mere annoyance!"

He is sick of these motherfuckin' scorpions in this motherfuckin' city, okay.

Shura stood back up and wiped her mouth. "They become more than that after a few hours... makes you wonder if there's a giant one at the end."

[drakenguard]

"Most likely. There usually is a 'boss' of some sort."

He actually wasn't trying to make an RPG joke but there you are.

"Gah, and I'm stuck here!" Shura knows her RPGs man.

"Stuck...?" Yamato frowned in confusion. "What do you mean? You can move."

"The scorpions're gonna get in if no one drives them back!"

"It seems a bit moot now," Yamato pointed out. "There are those who are violently psychotic - no doubt a portion of them within the apartment complex are causing destruction in there now."

"The violent psychos can be dealt with with a strike of our Persona. This swarm takes someone who can outlast them." To punctuate that, she summons Shiva - yes, that Shiva - to let him do a Hassohappa on the new wave of scorpions.

Yamato stood aside to allow Shiva to strike down the swarming scorpions. Well, far be it from him to sway someone from a foolish endeavour...

"As you wish. At the very least you should snag an ally who knows how to negate the poison of the scorpions."

"I didn't had time to find one. The doors I knocked at gave no answers." Now that the coast is relatively clear, she takes the time to use a mighty skill. As the scorpions approach dangerously, the ground crack beneath them; as Shura spreads her arms with a shout, the ground opens and swallows all the scorpions in a five meter radius before the ground is returned to normal, as if nothing had happened.

"Will you be my ally?"

...well then. Yamato was a bit impressed by such a show of raw strength. Such a devastating move...

Oh she asked a question.

"...No. I came here to find Kaito," Yamato said after a pause, tilting his head up to look at the apartment building. "He lives here- actually. Have you seen him leave? Considering you have been standing guard here since this began. Do you know what he looks like?"

Yamato may come across a little demanding here. Kaito is, er, special to him...

The strongest of Fiends has to have a few show-off killer moves that annihilate the enemy.

"Kaito? I don't know anyone by that name. What's he look like? I saw quite a few people leave..." she says as she watches the area for the return of the vengeance of the son of the mother-in-law of the scorpions.

"He wears a ridiculous, white, bunny-eared hooded jacket," Yamato said, glancing away to frown at the scorpions scuttling in the shadows. They didn't appear ready to charge just yet. Probably waiting for their numbers to bolster once more. "It's quite hard to miss. He also has curly dark hair, and blue eyes."

Shura thinks for a minute, calling forth a Persona in the shape of a giant Kodama to cast a measly Dia on herself. "I think I've seen him leave the building. He went that way." She pointed right, down the street.

Yamato nodded and strode away - and paused briefly.

The woman was going to get herself killed if she remained there without a good healer. It was foolishness. Yet Yamato could not give her Remiel - although he had his own healing and spiritual energy replenishing abilities, Remiel had Samarecarm in case he was felled in battle...

Tch!

It was Shura's choice!

After that brief hesitation Yamato continued down where the demi-fiend had pointed. Kaito was top priority, higher than anyone else.

"Be careful out there!" Shura shouted as he left, as if she held no grudge that he'd prefer leaving her to search for his friend. In fact, she did not. Maybe this Kaito was more in need of protection than a Fiend like her.
