Shura should have come earlier. There were not that many costumes left, and even less in her size, that were to her taste. Too ugly, ill-fitting, too revealing, too itchy... everything had something that displeased her, and she was getting discouraged fast. Help her pick?

TAURUS
The Red Lights district. It was quiet during the day, with bars and nightclubs closed, but some shops were open. Like, for instance, this bookstore that Shura was heading for, La Petite Mort. After discreetly checking her surroundings, she quickly entered, acknowledging the Lilim behind the counter with a shake of the head before going off to hide in the store in search of this "different porn" that Naoya had talked about.

Latooni had been on her way home from work - and therefore dressed in her uniform frills - looking around the shopping district for food for the next week. She had vaguely connected the fact that fewer people were side-eyeing her dress with the fact that it was getting close to Halloween, but was otherwise unconcerned with the holiday until she saw Shura looking around a costume shop. Curious, she went in to say hi.

Porn book shopping? What a total coincedence, so was this guy. Although as he went through a book, Shura may notice he flips between getting massive nosebleeds and, well, judging at the materials in the book- as if he was some sort of elitist in pornography books.

Weird guy.

Ruri had been looking for various odds and ends, and also looking over the site with the odd night sounds under the full light of day. Seeing the frustrated woman who Ruri believes she's seen on the com network before Ruri waves slightly.

"You look to be having some problems, do you need help?"

Shura was so preoccupied with her contemplation of a nun costume that she did not feel Latooni's presence until she was right up next to her, and even then, it startled her a bit. "Oh hey!"

Weeeird. "If you keep getting nosebleeds, you'll stain the books..." Although perhaps a boy in a porn shop is best left ignored, Shura's mouth clearly did not get the message.

"Yeah, I could use some," Shura admitted, putting the lumberjack costume back on its hanger. "I'm looking for something covering."

"Ok? Covering. Are there any themes other than covering you want to look for?"

"I have no preference for anything in particular. It's just that at the time the masquerade is, my markings will have reappeared, and I'd like to have them covered for once, so I don't get recognized as easy, y'know?"

"Hrm, perhaps we can find you an animal costume. Though it may be better to look in the men's department if that's the case."

"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to startle you," Latooni said, taking a step back. She was never especially good at determining where personal space began or ended. "Were you shopping for costumes?"

"It's all right. I'm trying to find something covering so I can't be recognized by my markings right off the bat."

"Oh... sure then." And the men section should have less "sexy" everything.

In general, most men wouldn't wear the "sexy" ones anyways unless there was a bet they lost or made, or some other nonsense like that, but Ruri doesn't really know why or care.

"Generally you get more coverage there."

She heads in that direction to start looking over things.

"That much is right, at least..." she says as she looks at the animal costumes of the men's section. Unlike many of the animal costumes of the women's section, they were not made of an animal print teddie and a pair of ears, but rather more like mascot suits.

"Heh. Is there a shark?"

"Sharks don't have feet. But there is a bear."

"A bear?" Shura came closer. "A bear-bear, or a teddy-bear?"

"It comes with fake blood for the teeth and claws."

"Score!" Shura said, grinning widely. The costume was cheaply made and on sale, so it wouldn't be too expensive, and it only needed to last one night anyway. Shura was happy to see it even came with a full head, perfect to hide into. "I think you saved my Halloween."

"I'm glad I could have helped Miss."

"I see," she said, considering Shura's 'tattoos' and nodding. "That way it's more of a disguise..."

She looked around the shop to see if anything caught her eye as being covering. "I guess I should buy a costume too, right?" she wondered. Was it required for Halloween here?

He stopped. And turned around.

Revealing rather a bloody spectacle, somehow it's a miracle that he manage to avoid getting the books bloodstained.

"... This is nothing."

And for once, this was spoke with his sincerest, serious voice. Really weird guy.

Shura smiled at her. "You totally should! It's half the fun to be able to dress up however you want."

Holy crap what the heel is wrong with you. "If porn has this effect on you, maybe you shouldn't look at it!" she whispered hurriedly, trying not to get the attention of the clerk.

Latooni paused and thought for a second. She thinks back to her childhood, and to her recent adolescence, defined as it was by women like Garnet, Princess Shine, Lieutenant Excellen...

"You know, I'm not sure if I've ever dressed up however I want."
