I Got Taken to Hinoto-Ri and All I Got Was This Lousy Persona

Who: Guybrush Threepwood with El Pollo Diablo, open.
Where: Pretty much damn well everywhere in the city.
Summary: Guybrush, we're pretty sure this is a gross abuse of your Persona's abilities.
Warnings: Treasure hunting without logic or sense.
Guybrush still finds the giant chicken embarrassing.

On the other hand, it turns out that Guybrush can be quite forgiving when he wants to be. Especially when that want happens to, say, coincide with the unlocking of a new ability. And ESPECIALLY when that ability apparently detects treasure, because what sort of pirate turns down a treasure hunt?

So here's Guybrush. And here's a giant chicken. And they're checking out every garbage can, barrel, and other random container in the city. Some of the "treasure" turned out to be junk even Guybrush couldn't utilize properly, but they've found a few things, like potions, and minor items, and even food! (Yeah, like heck he's eating that.)

Naturally, this is going to, well, turn some heads.

His voice echoes from inside. "I think generally anything that isn't me stuck on this thing looking like a gigantic dork would be an improvement."

So he wants out, then.

Complying like a good little angel, Pit yanks him out of there--with a strength that thirteen-year-olds probably shouldn't have.

"Better?"

He gets yanked out and falls flat on his butt. He seems oddly cheerful, though. "You bet! Hey, check it out, someone left one of those weird stone healing items in here! Talk about lucky!"

"Huh?"

Pit leans in, taking a good look at the stone. Then shrugs. "Well, I guess that's good for people who don't have their own healing items."

"You mean like me!" Said item does the usual inexplicable disappearing act such items tend to do around Guybrush to save folks the sanity loss from trying to figure out where it ACTUALLY goes. "Anyway, seems like a good time to break for lunch."

"Oh. Well I guess I should leave you to it."

But he doesn't wanna! This guy's kind of weird, but Pit likes him, for some reason.

"If you wanna."

He opens his wallet. "Boy, kinda wish I didn't have standards about finding food in garbage cans, though." You swear you see a moth flying out of it.

"Yeah, I can kinda see how that'd be a problem," he says, scratching his head. "Anyway, I can foot the bill if you want."

Oh man, have you EVER made a friend for life, Pit. "Just as long as it's not a chicken joint. Not that this guy is really a threat, but I don't PARTICULARLY feel like taking any chances."

"I'm not a huge fan..." Someone's tired of being called a chicken.

"How about pizza?"

"Oh boy, pizza! One of modern man's greatest inventions." He says this completely unironically, too. Amazing.
