It's a Gundam!

Who: Asem Asuno; open
Where: In the skies over Hinoto-Ri, ending in an open field in the Capricorn District
Summary: Asem searches for a place to land his Gundam. Gawkers welcome!
Warnings: Giant robots.

In the skies above Hinoto-Ri, an odd sort of machine flew. It seemed to have no destination in mind, just flying back and forth over the city, as if its pilot were looking for something but he didn't know where in the city it was.

However, after about half an hour, it began to slow down and descend. As it descended, though, it transformed; before, it looked something like a plane, but now, it was clearly a humanoid robot. Rear thrusters fired to slow its descent; it seemed to be descending toward the Capricorn District.

Within the cockpit, Asem carefully guided the Gundam down. Careful not to scorch anything, he set the mobile suit down on the plains as gently as he could manage. The Gundam would likely leave a pair of footprints, but no other damage was done.

Now that the Gundam was down, Asem switched the machine off, pulled the AGE Device out, and took his helmet off. The hatch opened, and Asem descended via cable to the ground. Once on the ground, Asem pressed a button on the AGE Device, and the cable retracted and the hatch closed.

[[OoC: For reference, Asem is wearing a white, form-fitting flight suit, with black wrists and chest piece. Also, this is the Gundam in the log. It's about nineteen meters tall.]]

"Wha....."

So he'd seen Brainstorm, of course. And the guy had been awesome. But it was one thing to see a big robot sitting down chatting about COMPs and another to see a mech in action - a real life mech flying through the skies. And yeah, there was Stupor Sentai and their live action machines, but seeing it in the screen didn't even come close to seeing it right above your head.

All of this is good enough reason for Atsuro to stay stock still in shock even as the mech descends less than 30 feet away from him. So much for a survival instinct.

Atsuro finally stops staring long enough to close his mouth so his drool doesn't escape. Then he gets right back to it.

"...Wow."

Oh ho. As she thought. The humans who had been so entangled in their technology had stared in shock as well. Although it had also led those to seek out the most forbidden ones...

"Is something the matter? If you can't handle a little thing such as this, there's no way you will be able to handle the greater truths hiding within this city, you know," she says tauntingly. Oh, this was fun.

"There was a lot of wind involved with your landing, don't you think?! You should really be more considerate of where you park that thing!"

Even though he had parked it in a clearing. Ah Rin.

"...........You're a mech pilot!"

Atsuro suddenly points an accusatory finger and ignores Asem entirely. "How does that even exist?! You -- It's impossible, right?! There's no way a robot that size can be real...!"

"Well, it wasn't very considerate towards me, now was it?"

With ire on her tone still, Rin would turn to face the giant robot once more. Almost as though her gaze was unable to detect Asem's form in it, she viewed the hunk of metal as though it were the most offensive thing she's ever crossed paths with.

"What is it?"

"I mean, sure, alien robots work because they're aliens, but... If this kind of thing worked in real life, you'd bet we'd have real mechs by now."

"Because it's totally unfair! My world gets the apocalypse and everyone else's has alien robots and giant mechs."

Life is hard.

Atsuro sighs heavily to himself for a few moments.

"Ah, never mind. It's not your fault." A pause. "...You don't give out rides, by any chance, do you?"

"I do hope so. We have no use for people who can't 'hack it,' after all," she replies chortling.

"...Didn't think so."

Atsuro maintains his exaggerated pose of disappointment for a moment or two longer before straightening with a brighter expression.

"Aha -- Sorry, I should probably introduce myself before asking for favors, right? My name is Atsuro Kihara."

"Captain Asem..."

It's probably just a trick of the light, but it appears Atsuro's irises are rather starry at the moment.

"S-So! How, uh, do you like it? Captaining?"

That is definitely a real word.

"Obviously it's mobile. I just watched you made a mess of this area." Empty clearing or not, it appeared as though she wouldn't let him live it down. "A suit though? Do you mean as though it were formal wear?"

Another look towards the thing and she concluded quickly that it was anything but formal attire. Which meant it had to be a suit used for something else. Not for traveling though because that would seem way too obvious.
