Castle of Never Enough Shenanigans-- I MEAN UH...

Who: The cast with giant keys and far too many Big Damn Heroes Guardians of Light, other Keyblade derps, former bad guy, and an amnesiac. And later on, the poor saps who get stuck on the roof.
Where: Castle of Departure, Aquarius District - February 4th
Summary: The government finally decided to stop being butts exploring and studying her home, and thus it's one big move-in day!
Warnings: There may or may not end up being spoilers for any and all Kingdom Hearts installments, despite it being almost a year since the last one. Most are teenagers or look like teenagers, and the castle changes when the clock strikes 12, so THOU HAST VERILY BEEN WARNED...

So for the longest time, Aqua had been camping out near the entrance both before and after she was released from the hospital, oftentimes cloaked in a Vanish spell. After all, it transformed into her creation while she was at work... thus her responsibility to make sure no one else became lost within its halls. Within memories or dreams of them. But when she finally received word that it was alright (by this world's standards; almost all of her belongings were in her old room already), of course she was ready to move back and give the others notice that they would be welcome to move in, too.

'It's mine and Terra's home, so of course you're all invited to move in with us. There's plenty of rooms for all of us, too.' the message read. 'Though a bit of warning... it changes at night. Though they said if we stay in our rooms during the 13th Hour, it'll be fine.'

Though knowing half of those they invited, and those likely to visit... the chances that they will get lost in Oblivion were high. Just don't try to get off the roof on your own!

[Who needs a room when there's a library? Someone's already made themselves at home and is curled up in a corner, tucked up with a book in hand and a small pile of them just within reach.]

[...That shouldn't come as surprise, should it?

Riku stops for just a second when he spots him, but then moves on to one of the tables and gets started on his math problems. They are living in the same house (or well castle) now; he has to get used to being in the same room without being totally on guard at one point. Even if it's hard.]

[He's actually surprisingly focused, and doesn't look up or acknowledge Riku's presence. Whatever he's reading certainly has him gripped. His fingers curl and uncurl around the edge of the book, occasionally mouthing things to himself.

With a bit of a sigh he turns the last page and gently closes the book before looking up and blinking. Oh. It's him. Well, they have to share space, don't they... he seems to be writing something.

Xehanort stands to go put the book he was reading away, trying not to get too close to Riku but wanting to see just what he's working on and thus taking a bit too roundabout of a way back to the bookshelf.]

[It takes maybe half an hour until he is able to fully block the other's presence out himself, but by then Riku's been pretty much absorbed by his math problems and the fact that two months of studying are not quite enough to catch up to two years of no even being near any kind of math problem (apart of calculating his munny, which really doesn't take much beyond basic math). Learning integrals hadn't exactly been on the top of his priorities when there were best friends to guide/protect and an Organization to track after.

He leans back just that moment when Xehanort walks by, a half-frustrated, half-tired sigh escaping him.]

[The sound catches his attention, and he stops to turn towards the young man inquisitively. This is an opening he definitely won't miss.]

What are you working on?

[dreamprotector]

[Riku flinches slightly - he had forgotten that the other was even in the room with him, before turning his head to meet Xehanort's eyes.]

Uh. [He quickly glances back to his papers to check.] Integration.

[terra_nullius]

Integration?

[Curiosity wins for the moment, and he comes closer, forgetting his usual hesitation around the young Master. He eyes the numbers on the page.]

... can you show me?

[dreamprotector]

[Riku frowns for just a second then nods and slides his papers over to the other. He is stuck at this anyways; maybe someone with a set of fresh eyes would spot where he’d gone wrong.]

Knock yourself out.

[terra_nullius]

[He stares at the numbers curiously for a moment, pressing the tips of his fingers to the page.]

Explain how you do this...

[Riku takes a breath, then pushes over to point at a string of calculations, shortly explaining.]

And that's how.

[He's pretty sure it's correct, but somehow it still doesn't end up in the end.]

[He nods, taking it in, looking over the work Riku's done.]

So it's like this...

[With a painstaking air he begins to work through the steps, writing precisely in a script that Riku may find familiar.]

[Riku leans over to watch carefully, trying to see what Xehanort does differently and if he'll get to the correct solution.]

[It's the first time he's done math like this, here... he takes his time, checking his steps to see if he's done them in the right order as he sees them with Riku`s work. After a bit his brow furrows slightly and he frowns, and then he goes back to double-check his work, as it's started to deviate from Riku's slightly.]

[Riku narrows his eyes when Xehanort's results start to differentiate, frowning before he carefully moves to pull away the sheet with his work.]

Don't let what I did irritate you.

[Because well... he just might be onto something there.]

[With the crutch of Riku's work removed he's not entirely certain about what steps to follow, but he tries onward nevertheless, taking time to consider. He's not certain if he followed the right path to get to his answers, but eventually he considers it to be done.]

That was interesting. I'd like to try more again some time.

[Well... that does look... kinda better than his own attempt at least. Maybe right.

He'll check it over in a second.]

I'm sure there are some math books around here. Or you can borrow mine sometimes, if you want.

[Books always win where he's concerned.]

... I'd appreciate that.

[He backs off a bit to give Riku his space again.]

[He is welcome to Riku's mathbooks, when he isn't using them then.

He nods and then pulls the sheets to him, going over both calculations to see where he went wrong before.]
