Saiduq was not one who...walked. He could do the motion like most other humanoid-beings, but it felt awkward and unnatural to one who was not beholden to gravity. If he wanted to go from point A to point B, he teleported, or flew. That was it. Even Hinoto-Ri hadn't given him a need to alter that pattern.

Apparently that had drawn the ire of a few people, however, given he'd been all but dragged in to an anti-Guests conversation. And yet, despite the nature of the conversation, he didn't seem aware that his hovering and curious, neutral speaking tone were just irritating the citizens even more. If anything, he just seemed to grow even more confused as the civilians grew more aggravated. Dare you get involved?

"What is it about the Visitors that make them a higher priority than us?!" the ringleader of the group was yelling, gesturing very passionately as the crowd behind him murmured in loud agreement. "All of the jobs, all of the housing, all of it is being pushed to them, while most of us are barely scraping by, homeless, and starving!"

"Yeah! How is that fair! We should be getting most of the help!" A young teenager shouted his agreement, and quickly shouts rose amongst the crowd, everyone beginning to shout their own thoughts and agreement on the matter.

"To be honest, I have not agreed with their stance on that either. While there is some sense to be made in handing supplies to those who are capable..."

Saiduq seemed to frown even deeper than he had been, hugging his elbows.

"...ultimately, this society will not survive."

Yeah, this was definitely sounding really familiar.

Kaito immediately tries to walk through the growing crowd toward Saiduq. He doubted that either of them would be able to quell any concerns since...it didn't really work the last time this came up in their world. Maybe Saiduq wasn't getting that and...goddammit, the last thing that Saiduq said just proved his point.

“Are you saying that we’re all doomed?!” A young woman shouted from within the crowd, and, oh dear, the angry shouting started to take a panicked, uneasy edge. The situation was devolving rapidly.

Saiduq's brows just furrowed deeper, quickly swayed by the despair and anger of the crowd.

"I would like to believe that humanity ultimately decides it's own fate, but..."

The trail off was strange, and pretty much proof he was more focused on being anguished than he was being worried about his safety.

Aw frig...

Kaito continues making his way through the crowd, but everyone's becoming more agitated. What does he...he can't think...!

"Nobody's doomed! As long as humanity exists, nobody's truly doomed!"

It's unclear whether or not Kaito thought this through (does he ever?) but either way, he's at least taking the attention off of Saiduq. Now, to talk out things with everyone while being a visitor...

"But he said-!" the woman shouted, pointing wildly at Alcor. "That this society isn't going to survive! Is that why you're giving everything to the visitors?! Have we been abandoned?!"

"What, like, only Persona users are worthy of living now?! That isn't fair!" the teenager from earlier shouted, and the panic grew more and more. This will turn ugly quickly, and it seems rational thought was being thrown out in the face of it.

"Everyone deserves life."

Saiduq's voice was oddly firm on that point, at the very least, even if he had sounded so pained before. It was only a quick teleport before he was by Kaito's side, giving him a sidelong look as he continued.

"Mankind's wish to live for themselves is a precious thing. I won't see it tarnished."

"You keep contradicting yourself," the ringleader said, sounding suspiciously calmer than the rest of the panicking crowd despite the passion in his tone. "You say our society will not survive on the path it's on, and then turn around and say that our will to live won't be tarnished? Make up your mind!"

"Y-Yeah!" a teenager yelled. "Are we gonna die, or are you gonna do something about our situation?! The government seems to only listen to you visitors anyway! We may as well be worth nothing to them!"
