Summary: There still seems to be some civil unrest in Hinoto-Ri. You may want to help that floating albino guy deal with it...

Saiduq was not one who...walked. He could do the motion like most other humanoid-beings, but it felt awkward and unnatural to one who was not beholden to gravity. If he wanted to go from point A to point B, he teleported, or flew. That was it. Even Hinoto-Ri hadn't given him a need to alter that pattern.

Apparently that had drawn the ire of a few people, however, given he'd been all but dragged in to an anti-Guests conversation. And yet, despite the nature of the conversation, he didn't seem aware that his hovering and curious, neutral speaking tone were just irritating the citizens even more. If anything, he just seemed to grow even more confused as the civilians grew more aggravated. Dare you get involved?

"We did not ask to be here. Many would probably prefer to be home."

His tone was firm, but his expression wasn't. If anything, Koromaru would be able to sense the radiating depression coming from the star more than anyone in the crowd.

"But, our presence was requested, and we have a duty to attempt to give aid where we can."

The words of those here stung, that much was sure. Still hearing that, and sensing the distress from Mr. Floating was enough to get him to wander through the crowd and closer to the star. His ears hung low as he did, worried for the one trying to answer the crowd.

'Are you alright?' He wished he could speak with the crowd, but without Aigis or Labrys there... it was impossible. No one had asked for the government's aide. He knew that much since he hadn't asked for anything and would have been fine simply living on the street like before the members of S.E.E.S. became his pack. 'I can't speak with them, but you're not alone in having to face their anger.'

Mister star, nooo... No be sad. Sadface.

"What if we don't want your aid?" the ringleader of the group suddenly demanded, and he was echoed by several members of the crowd bellowing their agreement. "Everything was fine before you lot turned up! You just made things worse - and stretched our resources even further!"

Saiduq's head tilted down to look at Koromaru as the ringleader raved, seeming to miss the man's words entirely. Much to the crowd's irritation, he let his feet gently touch the ground, then crouched to pat the shiba on the head.

"You do not have to speak. Your presence alone shows conviction."

Well, it was their fault for being irrational in the first place. Seriously, what is with some humans who hate solely based on origins? ...Not that some canines were any different, but still!

'I know,' Koromaru barked, tilting his head to the side. Wait, this person understood him? 'I'll stay with you if it helps.'

Because ringleader please. Even the dog is silently judging you and he may or may not like headpats.

"Hey! We're still here!" the ringleader barked. "Are you ignoring us?!"

Saiduq is weak versus adorable dogs!

"I am listening." He didn't look up from Koro of course, but he was. Being as gentle as he could, Alcor reached out to pick Koromaru up, cradling him in his arms somewhat awkwardly. He didn't...quite know how to hold a dog, but in this situation, Koro was an equal. He shouldn't have to look up at everyone like that.

"As is he. Can you bring yourself to detest even a canine who seeks to help you?"

"How is a dog supposed to help us?! What we need is results, and now!"

"Yeah! And the first thing we need to do is get rid of all the Visitors! Think of all the jobs and homes we'd have access to with them gone!"
