Saiduq was not one who...walked. He could do the motion like most other humanoid-beings, but it felt awkward and unnatural to one who was not beholden to gravity. If he wanted to go from point A to point B, he teleported, or flew. That was it. Even Hinoto-Ri hadn't given him a need to alter that pattern.

Apparently that had drawn the ire of a few people, however, given he'd been all but dragged in to an anti-Guests conversation. And yet, despite the nature of the conversation, he didn't seem aware that his hovering and curious, neutral speaking tone were just irritating the citizens even more. If anything, he just seemed to grow even more confused as the civilians grew more aggravated. Dare you get involved?

"Bull-fucking-shit! You're just taking advantage of all of this!" the man roared. "You take the housing, you take the money, you do their bidding, and roam about as their, their private police, yeah! That man on the TV was right! You're all dangerous invaders!"

"Yeah, invaders!" a teenager agreed vehemently. "But we're not going to let you take over our city! We may not have Persona or freaky powers, but we won't go down without a fight!"

"We are not invading, nor do we intend to fight you. That is not our wish at all."

He just sounded sad at this point. Why were the people here so intent on not listening to him...?

Yu stopped just behind the crowd, waiting a moment, before letting out a soft cough to draw attention to him. Considering how loud the crowd was, it was likely things could escalate... he wasn't even sure if they'd listen to him, but it was worth a shot.

"What's going on?"

"What's going on?!" Yu successfully drew the ire of the ringleader, and without hesitating, he swung onto him. "What's going on is that the citizens of Hinoto-Ri are tired of you visitors taking over our city!"

"I can understand that," Yu replied, his voice remaining neutral. "We believed we were given a choice when we came here, and we wanted to help. I'm not so sure that was a choice after last month, but regardless we're still strangers in this place."

He shook his head. "I can't speak for everyone, but I know I'm not here to bring pain to the people here."

Saiduq's eyes crossed almost immediately to Yu, seeming surprised to see him. His expression quickly turned unreadable as the teen spoke, and Saiduq let his gaze turn to the ringleader.

"We have been pushed here by a higher power, much as you citizens have been pushed to this point by your government. Mankind does not deserve to be treated as pawns like this- surely, on this point, we can agree."

"It's too late for that, you Visitors have brought nothing but pain since you arrived! Instead of taking up our valued resources, why can't you just go back wherever you came from?!"

"You're not the only ones that have suffered pain," Yu said quietly. "But arguing with us will not solve anything."
