Who: Al Saiduq (NPC version), generic NPC civilians, and you!
Where: Libra Ward, anywhere within it.
Summary: There still seems to be some civil unrest in Hinoto-Ri. You may want to help that floating albino guy deal with it...
Warnings: Possible discussions of the Anoli attack, NPCs being NPCs.
Saiduq was not one who...walked. He could do the motion like most other humanoid-beings, but it felt awkward and unnatural to one who was not beholden to gravity. If he wanted to go from point A to point B, he teleported, or flew. That was it. Even Hinoto-Ri hadn't given him a need to alter that pattern.
Apparently that had drawn the ire of a few people, however, given he'd been all but dragged in to an anti-Guests conversation. And yet, despite the nature of the conversation, he didn't seem aware that his hovering and curious, neutral speaking tone were just irritating the citizens even more. If anything, he just seemed to grow even more confused as the civilians grew more aggravated. Dare you get involved?
((If you tag in, we'll set up the overheard conversations. So, please wait for both the NPC and this account to tag before responding!))

Finally, she spoke up, her voice carefully controlled as she watched him. A petition? Hah, they rarely work unless the mass have something to frighten the spineless government.

"If this is how you feel, then your quarrel begins with the government. We will not get involved in such matters, if you do not want us to."
His words were careful all of a sudden, probably due to his familiar onlooker. The second he hears 'heretic', he's so outtie.

She watched him carefully, listening to the conversation and what the unhappy natives will have to say. She would refrained from using "heretic" for information gathering purposes, unless Saiduq angered her. And that's not a hard task at all if he misspoken.

And he was being honest, too. Why would the government ignore their citizens? Why would someone fire a worker to hire a Visitor? Some people were special, yes, but this sort of system seemed...too bizarre for him to comprehend.
"I wish I had anything to offer you. However, I do not."

As for the jobs, it's simple enough. If they see someone with more skills and talent, and it would with their business and work...why wouldn't they replace the less useful workers?
"Are you expecting the government to cover for all of your needs without working for it? Complain all you wish, it won't do anything unless you do something beyond yelling at a useless fool."
