[OPEN] Dog Wrestling
Who: Yamato and YOU
Where: Capricorn Ward - early evening
Format: Begins in prose, but I'll follow
Summary:Playing Training with Cerberus by fighting it with one's bare hands. Who's up for Demon Tangoing?
Warnings: Sharp claws and sharp teeth.
It had been a very long time since Yamato had last done this - probably not since he was in his earlier teens. Life had been too busy, his duties had taken precedence, and the Chief of JP's couldn't really risk being seen playing with his demonic familiar, after all. One had to maintain a certain image, even for the lower subordinates.
Now, however, he had no need to maintain image or even care about it. Yamato had reached rock bottom as far as his 'reputation' was concerned, and there was a bizarre sort of liberating feeling about it. He didn't have to care anymore, and after reuniting with his old time demonic familiar, Cerberus... well, if Yamato wanted to let off steam and relax by partaking in old plays, then he will!
Although, he made sure to do it in a somewhat deserted place - like the park in Hinoto-Ri. The sun was beginning to dip in the horizon, turning the sky into an indigo colour, and Yamato thought he was just out of sight from the main path. Hopefully anyway. His coat and phone was neatly set to the side, Cerberus - who nearly up to his shoulder in height - stretched and-
Well, they played. Playfighting was the best way to learn how to strengthen one's body through use of spiritual energy. The human body was weak, but it could be reinforced if one knew how to use their spiritual power in that way. Resist Physical - it was a natural ability of Yamato's by now. So there was no issue in wrestling his large, demonic familiar to the ground and initiating a round of playfighting. He trusted Cerberus not to use its claws or fangs too much.
Of course, if you're just walking through the park, as an average passerby, it would look like a man was in the middle of fighting for his life with a giant beast...

No. Best keep that on a need to know basis.
"Yourself?"

"Better. I'm slowly getting over having died and seen God in the Tower... I sleep much better now."
no subject
"You died and saw God?" Yamato asked. Wow, he had been so out of touch with everyone in the past fortnight. How self-absorbed had he been?
no subject
"It was probably less than a second in the real world, but yeah. I died. And while I was dead, I saw the face of God." Unpleasant memories, to say the least.

"I see... interesting," Yamato murmured, partially to himself. Polaris had been God, but as far as he was aware, Polaris had been soundly defeated by Alcor. Although, the tower existed in an alternative world, so perhaps each world had its own 'Administrator' of some kind.
But, he didn't recall seeing Polaris or God when he died. Just a neverending blackness...
Ah, he trailed off in thought. "Oh, excuse me. Are you well now, though? Death can be traumatising." As Yamato could admit. He had a panic attack when first arriving here after dying.

"Anyway. The world I come from was destroyed in an event called the Conception. Normally it's the normal death of a world, but in my world it was triggered by a man who wanted to remake the world in his image, because the Conception is the end of a world but also the starting point for the next world.
"There is a process put into place by God that allows a chosen few to survive in the Vortex, the world between the old one and the new one. The chosen can conceive a Reason, which is basically a philosophy according to which the next world will be created.
"The idea is good in theory, but humans are humans, and God is God. The process has been put into place by God so that humans who conceive Reasons end up removing humanity's free will, something from what I understand God hates because it makes humans free to believe in him or not. He wanted mindless slaves, not free thinking individuals.
"Humans being humans, too, the Reason conceived in my world were complete abominations that would never have led to an evolving, sustainable world."
She pauses for a moment, letting Yamato digest all that.
"In addition, God's Conception process led to the creation of Manikins, a race of humanlike beings born from the dreams and wishes of humans who died in the Conception. Though they are the children, in a way, of God's humans, and are mostly pacifists, they were created to be slaves to the demons and be tortured in horrible ways to produce magatsuhi, the life source of the Vortex. Not only that, but they are denied creation and will all die when the new world is born.
"My wish, as a demon who can still create because I have enough humanity left in me, is to kill God so that this cruel and inhumane process can end and that he can never again rule as the heartless tyrant He is. I also want to give the Manikins the chance to live the peaceful life they were denied, but mainly, I want to stop God."

This was all very fascinating though. It was almost a complete parallel to the situation in his world - although there had been in 'Vortex World', only a world being devoured by the Void. Reason... a philosophy - well, that was his and Ronaldo's main source of conflict, wasn't it? Meritocracy, or Egalitarian? Or... whatever third option Shijima spearheaded, and of course, the mysterious fourth option of simply killing God and placing Alcor on the throne instead.
"What would happen to that world in that case?" Yamato asked thoughtfully. "This is similar to putting forth an ideal to the Administrator. Humans cannot use the Akashic Records to restore the world to its glory, and I'm supposing you cannot use it as well - if that is the process of remaking your world, of course," he suddenly chuckled, "this is assuming that your world functions similar to mine. Considering how...uncannily similar your situation was to mine in my world..."
He was quiet for a moment.
"Polaris and God sound uncomfortably similar to one another. Are they the same being? God could, hypothetically, exist in multiple incarnations in multiple universes..."

She takes a moment to think about his other question. "I don't know about the Akashic Records, to be honest. And I'm not sure what will happen to the world if I succeed. I assume the world will not be remade and humanity will not be reborn. But, I think it's not so bad. It's better than life as mindless slaves of God, sentenced to never meet one another or to fight to the death over who is more powerful. And I can't ignore to potential of the Manikins."

"You'd allow mankind to be extinct?" he asked slowly, his frown growing a bit more pronounced. It was true, Yamato disliked - or outright hated - about 99% of the human race, but that didn't mean he wanted the entirety of them extinct. His dreams and ambitions had been in humanity's best interests after all. He wanted humanity to soar to newer, brilliant heights - perhaps even storm into Heaven and wrench God off his throne by their own hands, if need be.
Human potential was an amazing thing. To abandon it...

"Humanity is already extinct. There are only two humans left, and they've both become monsters.
"One of them is me. The other was my best friend."
