[OPEN] Dog Wrestling
Who: Yamato and YOU
Where: Capricorn Ward - early evening
Format: Begins in prose, but I'll follow
Summary:Playing Training with Cerberus by fighting it with one's bare hands. Who's up for Demon Tangoing?
Warnings: Sharp claws and sharp teeth.
It had been a very long time since Yamato had last done this - probably not since he was in his earlier teens. Life had been too busy, his duties had taken precedence, and the Chief of JP's couldn't really risk being seen playing with his demonic familiar, after all. One had to maintain a certain image, even for the lower subordinates.
Now, however, he had no need to maintain image or even care about it. Yamato had reached rock bottom as far as his 'reputation' was concerned, and there was a bizarre sort of liberating feeling about it. He didn't have to care anymore, and after reuniting with his old time demonic familiar, Cerberus... well, if Yamato wanted to let off steam and relax by partaking in old plays, then he will!
Although, he made sure to do it in a somewhat deserted place - like the park in Hinoto-Ri. The sun was beginning to dip in the horizon, turning the sky into an indigo colour, and Yamato thought he was just out of sight from the main path. Hopefully anyway. His coat and phone was neatly set to the side, Cerberus - who nearly up to his shoulder in height - stretched and-
Well, they played. Playfighting was the best way to learn how to strengthen one's body through use of spiritual energy. The human body was weak, but it could be reinforced if one knew how to use their spiritual power in that way. Resist Physical - it was a natural ability of Yamato's by now. So there was no issue in wrestling his large, demonic familiar to the ground and initiating a round of playfighting. He trusted Cerberus not to use its claws or fangs too much.
Of course, if you're just walking through the park, as an average passerby, it would look like a man was in the middle of fighting for his life with a giant beast...

Hinoto-Ri didn't have as much forest, but the park was hard to miss. In fact, the city was a strange place, but at least it was interesting, if a little boring. It wasn't too long before she ran into Yamato as she walked from tree to tree, standing from a branch, and watching what was happening. True, most people would (stupidly) assume it was a man fighting for his life with a giant beast, but Lash prided herself in observation. She'd research the other COs she'd be fighting with any intel she could get. For all her immaturity, she was smart and well learned. Just not...polite and used to civilian, well, anything.
What she did know, however, were the screams and looks of people in distress. One could say that she was very good at them, and this man, while fighting, had facial features that didn't look like 'guy who's afraid of what is going on.' So she continued to watch silently, for as long as she could.
Ten seconds later (a new record!), she blurted out, "So is he your pet or somethin'?" If Yamato looked up, Lash was sitting down, dangling her legs over a tree branch that looked way too thin to be able to support her weight properly.

"...no. He isn't. Who are you?" Yamato asked, swiftly standing up and trying to appear dignified. He wasn't sure he achieved it well, as his shirt was smeared with grass and dirt stains, as well as splotches of blood from where Cerberus's claws had nicked him.
no subject
"Name's Lash! I...am the Wunderkind, inventor and scientist to the Black Hole Forces in Wars World!" As she spoke, she twirled around the tree, jumping down and dusting her hands. She was pretty short, but her hair made up for it. "What about you? Your one of the Visitors too, right?"
no subject
"Obviously. I am Yamato Hotsuin."
no subject
Man he even looked like the type of way-to-serious guy, grass and fighting with the demon withstanding. She was half-tempted to ask if he was a fan of coffee but decided against it for now.
"So Hot-Sun, if he's not your pet, what is he? Or she? I can't really tell, actually!".

"Demons don't have genders, so use whichever pronoun you want," Yamato said curtly, feeling a bit discomforted with her circling him like a shark - especially when she slipped behind him. He feared he was rather stiff-backed from it. "He is my familiar."
no subject
Then strangely enough, she raised her legs and crossed them, her position unmoving when she should be clearly falling to the ground. It almost looked like she was hovering. Lash didn't seem particularly perturbed by it, and went on as if it was perfectly natural (to be fair, it was for her).
"But what's a Familiar? You mean he's really familiar to you or what? What kind of scientific name branch is that?"
no subject
"Familiar: A demon supposedly attending and obeying a witch, often said to assume the form of an animal," Yamato said flatly, reciting the dictionary definition from memory. "In other words, it is a demon under my command."
no subject
By everything, she forgot to mention 'everything science-related.'
no subject
"Not all worlds possess demons, so that is no surprise. In any case..." he trailed off pointedly. It was clear he was trying to close the conversation the only way he knew how - by staring at the unwanted person and mentally willing them to go away. Normally his cold stare was enough to send people skittering away, but...

"Tee hee hee! You're doing it again, you're doing it again! You could be Hawke's twin sibbling, it's soooo uncanny!" Sorry, she now found you quite charming. In Lash's own way.
"What's your world like?" Tell me more about the water of your homeworld

"Nnnnnooooot really. You're just answering my questions to get rid of me now."

"...do you like games?"

"What d'you have in mind?"

The reaction was instantaneous. The great beast lunged forwards with a roar, its claws ripping into the tree trunk as it hauled its massive bulk up with startling ease. Being about six foot tall at the shoulder, pushed up onto its hind legs? Yeah Cerberus was pushing almost nine foot, its large paws swiping at Lash sitting on the branch.
no subject
"Wh--" Her face froze when she saw Cerberus lunge at her, but somehow managed to jump to another branch higher up the tree just as his paws missed. Was this guys seriously suddenly trying to kill her or something?! She had no one else to turn to here to help her and... "WHAT ARE YOU DOING? THIS ISN'T FUN AT ALL! I'M NOT JUST SOMETHING YOU CAN DISPO-"
"No! No! No! We can always build more units! As many as we need! Everything's disposable. Everything! What's the point of having all this stuff if we don't get to break it?!"
Well wasn't this a reversal of schadenfreude. Something from her sleeve coat slipped into her hand, and she pressed the red button. A short while away, her Neotank sprung to life, and made a madden beeline towards her. The problem was that she had parked it rather far. There was a good forty seconds before it could arrive, if not more, and Lash knew all too well that in war, that could be the split seconds that could spell out life or death.
Not to mention she didn't really know Yamato's true intentions. She thought she was nuts, but this guy took the cake! She was scared. She wasn't supposed to be cared of anything. The distraction made her miscalculate, and she slipped, falling to the ground after a failed attempt to hop to the next tree.
Dammit, she should have parked her tank closer.

Yamato couldn't stop the quiet laughter as the women shrieked in panic, Cerberus climbing up the tree after her, ripping out branches and chunks of tree bark in its wake. The beast wouldn't kill her, of course. If Cerberus really wanted to, it could have set the entire tree alight, or snapped its jaws around one of the woman's flailing legs...
Then the women slipped, and fell to the ground with a dull thudding noise, and Cerberus followed immediately, the ground almost shuddering when its massive bulk crashed onto the ground. It loomed over the woman, its fangs bared and throat alight with a fire bubbling up from its stomach. It very much looked like it was ready to bite Lash's head off - and snapped its jaws down-
Right onto the front of her clothes. It hauled her up torso and head off the floor, leaving her legs to drag on the grass between the demon's legs as it padded back over to Yamato with its tail wagging, like it was bringing back a stick.
"Seems you lost," Yamato said after a pause, lifting his gaze to the horizon. Seemed she tried to call something, but if this had been a true fight, she would've been killed before it could have assisted her. Shame.

I'm going to die...
A voice rang out in her head, musical and amused, and unlike anything she'd never heard before.
"ahahahahah! I think it's my time to shine! Why are you so scared? Grab my hand and we'll--" wait never mind, there it went. As soon as she realized what was happening with Cerberus, the strange feeling poofed itself away and she realized she'd been had.
A Black Hole Commanding Officer captured so easily! How embarrassing. Frowning at Yamato, she stuck out her tongue at him, somehow managed to cross her arms. Lash knew she could easily just remove her coat and get out but...that coat was valuable to her.
"That's not a good game at all! You're just being a big, dumb meany head!" Oh great, she was throwing a tantrum. Perhaps what she hated the most was this sounded exactly like the type of lesson Hawke would have taught her about being careful. And hey, wasn't that the sound of whatever she had called was getting much closer now?

Cerberus abruptly released Lash, but planted its paw on her chest to keep her pinned, lifting its head to watch the - whatever that thing was - trundling closer, its ears pricked forwards in interest.
"In any case, I doubt you will want to stick around for any longer, so..."

100 meters...
A strange change overcame Lash, if Yamato even bothered to look at her through that giant mass of hair. Her pouting and movements suddenly all stopped, as she frowned in pure concentration, clicking her mouth. This area was definitely not her expertise. A few trees did not a forest make, although a forest was just a little bit farther from here. Did it technically count if she was here in the city? Urgh! Schematics here were thrown out all the window. But if she could get to the public forest...then she could get an advantage. Tch. The one time she'd be happy for Jake's stupid little face to show up and give her a boost. Oh well. She could manage on her own.
75 meters...
Idly, she raised a hand despite the pain from being pinned down and squinted her eye towards the sun, judging the wind direction, her voice a little lower and softer than before. "You know, you're sending me mixed signals here! You don't want me around, but you've got the big housecat of yours making me unable to leave...do you want to prolong this even more?"
50 meters.
"Alright so you caught me! Big deal! If I actually know game we'd be playing the results would be different...but I'm not going to let get to me! Because...now you've made me angry, Silver Boy!"
Ooooh SILVER boy....
"Do you know the story of the tortoise and the hare? They had a race, and the hare ran off because he was much faster. But then he slept on the side of the road. And the Tortoise went on to win? Do you know why? Because it had hidden rocket launchers under its carapace and blew up the hare when no one was looking!"
Uh we're not too sure if that's how it really went. It was probably a very popular story in Black Hole, mind you (not to mention Lash's favorite).
"Alright then! Let have some real fun." That strange voice she had heard in the back of her head before was laughing again, but Lash wasn't concentrated on that. Instead, her outstretched hand suddenly tightened into a fist. At that moment, two things happened.
25 meters.
The first was that she began to fade into a darkish shade as gravity seemed to be naturally drawn to her, the soil groaning and forming electrical sparks using her as the conduit.
Commanding Officer Powers. That was the accepted term for the phenomena, but the truth was it was named that way since most of those that could use it were COs themselves. Lash had discovered hers quite early in her life, and was partly what had spiraled her down into a life of science and invention. They were like human batteries, with a strange ability to release that energy and bestow boons and skills to those under their command, or even make the weather itself change completely. The awe of their soldiers, the envy of civilians. These powers had been used many times in War World's history to turn the tide of a battle.
Or a game of tag.
"Tee hee hee..."
Without warning she burst into a flash of light so bright it was impossible to look at her directly, a release of all the pent-up power inside her, as it zigzagged in the form of blackish lightening bolt into the air, violently pushing away those that were too close (in this case, Cerberus), before flying towards...
0 meters.
...A strange tank with four legs, which still stood quite far away, but close enough to do exactly what Lash required. The random burst of darkish energy surrounded it before disappearing inside, causing the tank to glow brightly. The the only unit under her command currently, it received all of the energy.
"Fire!"
As she raised her arms in the air again, the neotank fired three missiles, a close copy of the large black bombs she had created back at home. They flew in the air, the sound like beautiful music to her ears.
"So as I was saying...that was just the warm-up! Lemme show you what I can really do..."
A few seconds later, there was a strong whoosh in the air, as the missiles tore into the ground, sending earth and debris flying in all directions, with Lash right in the middle.
