[OPEN] Devil Repairmen
Who: Daichi Shijima (
hetried), Kaito Watari (
awww_yeeeeeaaaah), and ~you~
Where: Libra District, outside the apartment building.
Summary: A monumental task many months coming finally comes to fruition! The adventures of Daichi and Kaito trying to fix That One Truck that got smashed up by Dubhe, or, how we learned to sit back and accept that teenagers are idiots. Someone please help them, for the love of god.
Warnings: graphic car damage, probably something really stupid's gonna happen
It had been going on at least seven months since they'd been here-- and during that entire stretch of time, that smashed up, decimated delivery truck that Daichi had used to crash into Dubhe during the Invasion was basically just sitting in a random parking space in Libra. It was kind of a fixture of the environment by now-- it'd even gotten some graffiti on it after someone went on a tagging spree.
But it was finally about time for Daichi to actually do something about that! You know, considering the fact that the keys had been dumped on the table in his apartment from day one. It, probably belonged to him.
His right wrist and hand were still in the process of recovering from his bout with the robot, but that certainly wasn't going to stop him now! And besides, it was...plenty healed up enough by now. Right? Yeah totally. Regardless of that, he still needed some help, and who better could he get to help him than his best friend since birth?
The answer was there were a lot of better people he probably could've chosen than Kaito for this particular task, but that's what he went with anyway.
And so was how Daichi and Kaito were set up outside the Visitor apartments in Libra, trying to fix up the smashed up truck that had once been an alien-proof weapon. They had plenty of tools and supplies and what not gathered around them, and they looked to be straight at work; though, uh. They probably didn't have any idea what they were doing.

"Uh, we're fixing the truck up so it'll run again."
no subject
"Ohh, hey man." He says as if he recognizes the angel guy and that it's totally not weird that he'd recognize him. Nope, not weird at all.
"Yeah, we figured we might as well try to fix it."
no subject
He's going to peer in anyway. Just be wary of the feathers.
no subject
"Uh... yeah sure, go ahead," He concedes after a moment. Thooouuugh it didn't look like this guy needed his confirmation anyway.
"Do you even know anything about cars?"
no subject
Other than that, though, she is being perfectly stealthy!
YOU HEAR NOTHING
no subject
"Uh... dude, did you hear something?"
no subject
you hear nothiiiiiiiiiiiing
no subject
"...Weird. What is that?" He tentatively looked under the truck to check where that was coming from.
no subject
"Desco is a kitty! Meow!"
Whew, that was close! STEALTH MODE STILL ENGAGED
no subject
OK that was definitely not a cat, and there was definitely something under there.
Daichi took the liberty of climbing out of the car and plopping down onto the ground next to Kaito, kneeling down and looking with him. "Hey, whoever's there-- What are you doing?!"
no subject
"Desco is checking up on Mr. Hero!"
...Desco that was not a spin.
It barely even counted as a gentle curve.

"Hey, Sasha! We're just trying to fix up this truck so it'll work again. It's kind of been here for months now..."
no subject

no subject
"Wha-- You told her about that?!" K a i t o.
"U-Uh yeah, this is it...Heh, with evidence like this it's not really as impressive as you'd think it was, given how badly the truck got out of it."
He says, having been ready to get even more wrecked himself.no subject
Which makes the robot stop, and stare. And stare some more when he notices Daichi, that kid he shot at earlier in the month! And Kaito too, but he doesn't know who that kid is.
"... Do either of you know what you're doing?" He asks, and today he's in his armor with no hat but always wearing sunglasses and his yellow scarf, so maybe certain teenagers who punch robots might not recognize him.
no subject
"--Hey, it's you!" And he doesn't sound entirely enthused, admittedly. "You jerk...! Of course we do."
He really doesn't.no subject
Blues smiled a little as he said that last bit. Because he knows why Daichi's hand isn't at 100%.
no subject
A metaphorical magnet, anyway. Since, y'know, magnets are generally bad for robots.
Ignoring that Magnet Man is a guy in Rock's canon...Either way!
Rock had been out doing the proper public service thing and helping clean up the graffiti around the city, which had brought him to Libra, and thus brought him to find Daichi and Kaito.
"Hey Mr. Daichi!" Rock waves as he approaches, then notices the graffiti on the truck, and...well, its sad state of existence. "Aw geeze - did the vandals smash your truck up on top of painting it?"
no subject
Don't mess with Maaagneeet MaaaanWell Daichi certainly wasn't going to complain-- unless Rock was Brainstorm or decided to shoot at him. Which, usually was not the case."Hey Rock," He said with a wave, turning away from the front of the truck to greet him. And then, laughed a bit sheepishly.
"Nah, this thing was busted it up way before we even knew about all the vandalism. I... kind of ran it into an alien back home."
Yeah because that's a normal conversation.

She's more than well enough to walk around, which was why she found herself in Libra and saw two familiar boys.
"...Shijima, Watari?"
no subject
"Hey, Miyako! You uh... doing OK?"
no subject
"But what are you two doing?"
no subject
Oh no, they now had the undivided attention of someone who, while having said knowledge about repairing, was also very probably completely insane. Not that they'd know.
Yet.
no subject
Damn. He wouldn't have thought they'd have gotten caught on that this quick. And with this...weird, looking girl.
"Winging it?"
no subject
Amateurs.
"Where'd you guys get a piece of scrap metal like this? It looks like it's been in worse shape than an APC meeting the megacannon end of a Giga Tank.
no subject
And his roaming took him to Daichi and Kaito sitting in front of a chewed up truck. Kazuya recognised Kaito, but as for the other one - eh, who knew. What the hell were they doing?
"Y'know, any parts you steal from that vehicle will be worth shit," Kazuya said helpfully when he walked
snuck up to them, standing directly behind them.no subject
"We're not stealing anything! This thing belongs to me, you know!"
no subject
Hang on, she knows this truck.
"Um, Daichi? Just because you can drive a truck probably doesn't mean you can fix one... Are you sure it can even be fixed after what happened to it?"
Seriously. Alien-proof weapon, yes, but the alien still exploded next to it.
no subject
"Sure, I don't see why not! I'm pretty sure it mostly just damaged the front and the outside anyway-- the engine's not totally wrecked, so I bet there's a way to get it to work again."
He's uh, just gonna not, answer that first accusation...
