[CLOSED] Nope, not happy
Who: Miyako Hotsuin (
capitalbackup) and Yamato Hotsuin (
drakenguard).
When: March 29th.
Where: The park, Capricorn
Summary: When Miyako discovered her sparring partner and personal obstacle disappeared, she’s not happy at all. Instead of stewing on this, she send a message to her brother.
Warnings: Eventually brawling. Otherwise, a pair of Hotsuins.
He’s late.
If there’s one thing she knew about him, Mordred Pendragon was always punctual to their sparring sessions. For him to be late for this long, something must have come up. The most telling example of this was the lack of calls from him. He would tell her and cancelled today’s session.
With a frown, she tried to access his inbox. Odd...
After a while, with no luck, Miyako finally called upon *Hyun-ae. Perhaps the AI may know the answer to this...
-
Miyako disconnected after her conversation with *Hyun-ae. No, she’s not pleased about this at all, and she can feel herself getting more and more frustrated.
Someone who defeated her and who she see as an obstacle to overcome, gone. Maybe the powers that be believed Mordred have served his purpose and sent him back. But it nevertheless made her frustrated. How can she prove herself to be stronger without Mordred around? There will always be other opponents, she knew that. But Mordred Pendragon was the one who fought and won fairly against her in a duel.
She could defeat all other swordsmen in this city, but Miyako will never be satisfy until her blade won against his.
“Tch.”
Miyako’s frustrated and wanted to vent it out. But what to do...she has no desire to fight with Mara at the moment, and it’s still daylight right now.
After a moment, she started writing up a message and sent it to Yamato’s inbox: Let me know whenever you have free time.
A short message, but Miyako didn’t want to put down her reason for why she’s asking. Maybe when her brother’s here and talking to her in person, then she may say them to him. But now, she will wait for his reply.
…Were there any takoyaki stands nearby?

"Miyako," he greeted once he was close, stopping before her and crossing his arms. "What's all this about?"
no subject
And she may need to find a new partner if she wish to continue this.
"Pendragon...the swordsman who defeated me is gone."
Her voice was awfully calm, but she's not pleased with this latest development.
no subject
"I see. Frustrated?"
no subject
"It's not often you get to see someone with his skills."
His name was suspicious, but Miyako didn't know Mordred's true nature as a Knight of the Round.
no subject
He had come to peace with that.
"It is a shame, but these things happen. Focusing on a different obstacle would be best."
no subject
There was a number of things she could aim for, but the challenge was finding and picking one she's interested in. Miyako can always find a new sparring partner another time. So until then, an activity unrelated to her swordsmanship would for the best.
"I would have to look and see what activity I could pick up."
Maybe she could pick up the whip again, she idly thought, her fingers touching her katana's handle.

W-Was that joking, there?
no subject
Miyako saw that smile and gave Yamato a look. Oh, so that's how he wish to play it?
"Perhaps, but I may be a bit out of touch." She always prefer the challenge and adrenaline from their more physical lessons. That and she found her old domestic lessons boring and tedious. "Speaking of out of touch, I wonder how your swordsmanship skill is right now."
no subject
"Ah, satisfactory, I assure you. Swordsmanship has fallen out of use in regards to battling demons," Yamato said casually, maintaining an uncaring air, even if his gaze was a bit wary now. "Hand to hand combat is much more, ah, versatile."
no subject
"Hm." It's unfortunate that swordsmanship has fallen out of use by their time, but she did recognise the importance in hand to hand combat. A small smile appeared on her face. "Then you wouldn't mind showing me your hand to hand combat skills?"
She's secretly itching for a good spar and was sparblocked by Mordredno subject
Yamato didn't mind wrestling with Cerberus, even if it ended with him getting torn up and bruised to hell and back - and sometimes accidentally burned if Cerberus got too into it - but his spars with his sister were brutal. There were no rules or laws in their fights. Groin attacks, biting, hair pulling - they were more like a vicious catfight than a spar.
He tucked a lock of hair behind his ear, and let out a small huff. He was rusty with his hand to hand combat skills as well - hell, most of his combat ability, except for his magic and demon summoning, was rusty since staying here. Miyako was going to crush him.
"...no, I won't mind. I need to get back into the swing of practising, anyway."
no subject
She detached her sheathed sword and lay it next to the tree. It won't do for her weapon's familiar weight and shape to get in the way. Turning her attention back to Yamato, waiting for him to get ready. Just one courtesy before it get brutal.
no subject
As he said, their spars were brutal. Having practised fighting against demons, they fought like demons themselves. The amount of times Yamato had to resort to lashing out with his nails and fangs just to gain the upperhand was embarrassingly high. Of course, to his subordinates, he appeared to be a very sophisticated fighter, but if things ever truly got dangerous... Yamato can and would fight like a wild animal.
"Are you ready?"
no subject
"I'm ready."
It's all she said, before Miyako shifted into a familiar stance and watched Yamato carefully. Sometimes, she'd take the first action, sometimes he will.

There was a tense pause - and then he struck.
It was a surprisingly swift attack, one moment he was prowling, the next he darted towards his sister - from her left - already moving to sweep her legs out from under her.
