WHO: Orihime Inoue, OPEN
WHAT: Asuper awesome montage myriad of scenes in which Orihime learns the ropes about this weird new world.
WHEN: Varies (see the notes below)
WHERE: Anywhere and everywhere!
NOTES: So this is essentially how I (and by extension Orihime) learn some of the basic game mechanics, like how to summon/use Personas, things in other districts to be aware of, etc. Anyone willing to provide a sort of mentor for showing Orihime the ropes will receive so much love and gratitude both ICly and OOCly, because we need all the help we can get! This can also serve as just a basic way to garner some much-needed CR, or as a set-up for the upcoming Taurus event (Orihime is a Virgo for what that's worth). Feel free to PM or IM me if you want to plot something out first, or feel free to just wing it. I'm up for almost anything! The date on any and all threads is very flexible, so anything from Feb. 2013 to today is fair game. Third-person prose and [action brackets] are both fine!
She still wasn't used to this. She thought as much every time she woke up in her bed, primarily because she wasn't accustomed to sleeping in a bed at all. Back home, she'd lived in an inexpensive flat and slept comfortably on a floor mat. Here, Orihime didn't have to shift the furniture in order to make room for a place to sleep. She hadn't imagined she'd be able to live in a place this nice until she graduated from college and was gainfully employed in one career or another.
Pushing back the covers, Orihime swung her legs out of bed and settled her bare feet on the carpeted floor. She pushed her toes into the plush carpet, then stood. She held her arms loosely as she crossed the room to peer blearily out her window at the alien city she'd been dropped into. It still wasn't properly explored, in her opinion, but she was still undecided as to whether or not she should explore it at all.
She lowered her head, pensive. Shinjiro had told her much, and had assuaged her greatest concerns. It was possible to return home, and the time in her world was effectively 'frozen' in a sense that she would find herself replaced at the exact moment in which she'd left. In that case, there was no real rush to return, was there? And yet...there was still a slight anxiety in the back of her mind. Maybe it was just a sense of homesickness?
Orihime pursed her lips and exhaled, furrowing her brow as she leaned against the wall. She did want to return home, very much. However, she'd been told that she was needed here, and admittedly, that imbued her with a certain feeling of self-worth. She wanted to feel needed, almost desperately so, and if there was no cost to her friends back home, the choice to stay was obvious, right?
So why did she still feel so uneasy about all of this?
Pushing off of the wall, Orihime shuffled into the bathroom to shower, then dress, then wolf down a quick breakfast of tea, rice, and scrambled eggs. Perhaps if she urged herself to explore this place, get to know more about it and the people who had also been called, she might find herself swimming in good reasons to stick around and find her purpose.
(OOC: I'm also still pretty awkward/new about this, so feel free to tell me if I need to edit anything!)

Cancer District
She didn't quite notice Orihime exploring behind her, but a girl in a lacy maid costume perusing infrared cameras might attract some attention herself.

Subthread: Shrine
At first, anyway.
Now? She was striking odd poses as if she were an actress in a sentai series, throwing her hands into the air while balanced on one foot with a shout of "HYAHHHH!", or shifting her feet apart with her arms spread with as she cried "HYOOOOHHH!"
But nothing happened. She'd already tried bowing her head at the proper spots, and clapping her hands before ringing the bell, and even writing down a prayer to tie to the tree branches. Nothing was causing this 'Persona' power to manifest. She wasn't even entirely sure what the power did, to be honest. She'd only been told that it had been bestowed upon her.
She'd thought for sure that a place like a shrine would be the ideal location to unlock this power, but she was having about as much luck here as she had in her little apartment. Maybe it was something she should have asked Shinjiro or Avitus when she'd first met them, but she'd been so bewildered by her sudden physical transplant into the city that she'd neglected to ask.
Orihime dropped out of her pose, knuckling her lip. Maybe if she did a cartwheel...? That didn't seem like the most effective method of using a power, though, since not everybody could do those. It had to be something more universal than that...
