Who: Everyone. This is a general catch-all Taurus Event log. If you would like to do your own separate logs either due to pacing or easier loading, by all means, please do so!
Where: The Entire City
Summary: The last days of the Taurus event as things start to sour dramatically. During the 13th hour, Mutation Skills are unlocked for certain people (see the info post here) and now people have a chance against the swarming mechanized bulls. Unfortunately, for some, this means the paranoia hit a new low....if you want, you can get together and join each other's posts to try to hold the city down and protect everyone!
Warnings: Strange Attitudes, NPCs, Attacking, Battles.
Note: Please mark your post with what date they are happening. We are allowing anywhere from the 23th to future-dating to the 26th itself. Go on and have fun!

▼ The nights grow weary and a pattern seems to be forming...(days until the 26th)

 

Most of the Taurus civilians had willingly put themselves in confinement. As their symptoms began to rise, at the very least, there was little chance for them to cause problems. It looked like, hopefully, that they could hold back a lot of the damage and deaths to the city.

How completely wrong they would end up being...

▼ The day of reckoning...(April 26th, before the 13th Hour)

 

In retrospect, they should have realized something was wrong. While the Scorpio civilians were screaming about doom much like it had been predicted, Aquarius and Leo were not.

More research was needed...but there was no time now.

Somehow, everyone that had gone to the holding facilities were being freed from their confinement areas. No one knew who or got in, or how they got out, but many guards were injured in the process-- or worse.

The city turned into an all too (unfortunately) familiar sight. The Taurus civilians were causing havoc in the city, joined by others that the city had not predicted. Observers and Researchers quickly realized that these were all the earth signs, and a signal was given out; but too little, too late.

The city needed to fight back, lest it lose even more of its members. The situation was dire, but they had the Visitors on their side.

...For better or for worse.

▼ The Hour at Hand...(April 26th, 13th Hour)

 

13th Hour.

By now, the city was in chaos. For those who had witnessed the Scorpio outbreak it was an unfortunate similarity they might want to forget, but for others, this horror was brand new.

Giant mechanical bulls patrolled the city and continued to swarm, the police force trying to contain them and help as many as they could.

As time went on, mechanical parts and rocks fell to the floor from the bulls. Once the 13th hour hit...the remaining ones mutated, standing on two legs. And that wouldn't even be the worst of it...

And yet even in this Hour, there is hope. Power surges in a select few, and with a new skill at their tips, the battle may be won yet. But remember your mission: you came to protect this city. That includes the people living here. With so much chaos, you'll also need to help them and reduce the number of deaths as much as possible...and try not too look too closely at a looming figure in the Taurus Ward...

[Someone is a very unhappy penguin king right now.]

I dunno what the hell's goin' on out there, and I don't really want to know. But panic like this ain't good for business. Club's closin' down until this shit blows over.

I'm not just gonna lock my doors and leave people high and dry, though, so anybody ends up stuck in the Taurus District with nowhere to go, you come find me.

[A short pause and a grumble.]

'Less you're one of the ones causin' problems in the first place, in which case you're on your own. I'm not gonna put up with that shit here.

[Video; 4/26 during the 13th Hour]

[DeDeDe's certainly made good on his promise to lock himself in his club until everything has blown over. In fact, at this point he's just huddling back in his office with a half-dozen succubi that normally staff the club. One of them seems to have gotten hold of his COMP watch, turning the video around to herself to address the town.]

Hiiiiii, Hinoto-Ri~! Hope you're all having fun out there! The boss sure looks like he's having fun in here! Check this out!

[The video turns to show a shot of the floor of DeDeDe's office, which is covered in hundred dollar bills and gold coins. As the shot pans around, it eventually comes to rest on a shot of the penguin king and four succubi tangled up and writhing in a mess of silk blankets - mercifully, there is no visible naked penguin crotch, but it's pretty clear what's going on here. DeDeDe lets out a loud groan before noticing he's being filmed, reaching over to pick up a small pile of coins and hurling them at the demon doing the filming.]

Kyaaaaah! Gotta go~!

[The watch is dropped, and the feed ends.]

4/26 Dark Hour, after the video

[As Natsuki watches the broadcast, her eyes widen.]

I KNEW IT.

[Within seconds she's on her bik screaming across town, dodging around the general chaos of the robot bulls and crazed persona users to the door where she last met the penguin. He wasn't getting away with this. She knew, knew that he was in league with one of the two gods, it didn't matter which but ohhhh was he and this pissed her off to no end. Screeching to a stop she hops off the bike and violently jerks on the locked door a few times before losing all patience.]

DURAN, LOAD CHROME CARTRIDGE!

[A few seconds later the two shells impact the door.]

[Well, that's one way to get his attention. Probably his least favorite way, but a way nonetheless. As big and fat and slow as DeDeDe is, he somehow manages to wrap his robe around himself and hustle his ass out the door rather quickly to see what just knocked it down. Of course, he's got his hammer with him too just in case, but he will always try words first.]

What the fuck do you think you're doin'?

[On the other side, Dedede'll see an angry Japanese girl and a metallic wolf equipped with two large shoulder guns pointed at him.]

I knew it. You are in league with them, that's why you knew this was coming and locked yourself in there.

You better be plannin' on payin' for that. Doors ain't free, y'know.

[Yeah, whatever, he's seen scarier than this before.]

Oughta put a leash on that thing. And I got no idea what you're talkin' about.

[Duran takes a step or two closer, it's movements aggressive, guns still pointing.]

Don't lie to me. I can see you in there, with all of that money. How much did Philemon give you? Or was is the other one? Is that why that place is staffed with the demons? Does it take a lot of money and sex to sell us all out?

Philemon? That butterfly-faced asshole didn't give me shit, 'cept for that Persona thing I don't even fuckin' use. The demons work here 'cause they like the atmosphere and 'cause I pay 'em. And I've got a pile of cash because guess what, kid? Sex sells. I couldn't give two shits about another turf war. I've had it up to my beak with that.

[He hefts his hammer from over his shoulder, slamming the head into the ground and leaning on the handle.]

Now... you got any more stupid questions? 'Cause I gotta tell you, my patience is wearin' pretty damn thin.

[Natsuki watches the head of the hammer as it comes down. She stare intensely at Dedede as he asks his final question before looking down and closing her eyes. She opens her hands and two small pistols appear from the ether.]

No, I don't have anymore questions. It's apparent what needs to be done.

[DeDeDe sighs, shaking his head.]

There's gotta be somethin' else we can do besides tearin' this city up even more. Gotta be somethin' you want. I think you'll find I'm pretty reasonable, long as you're willin' to negotiate with words instead of bullets and explosions.

[And even though he's talking peace and trying to avoid a fight, he doesn't seem afraid of her threats in the least. He really just hates unnecessary bloodshed.]

You could surrender. They can live, and I burn this place down.

Then there will be less fighting. Your bosses will be weaker.

I really don't like repeatin' myself, y'know. I'm not workin' for either one of those sons of bitches. Is it really so damn hard for you to get that through your head?

[Samus had briefly checked her COMP to try and pinpoint the general whereabouts of the others fighting on the streets to make sure she didn't accidentally kill any of them in her warpath, when she had the misfortune to come across this feed, something she'd only initially viewed for having the penguin's name attached to it.

It wasn't really misfortunate for her, actually, such things didn't tend to faze her. No, it was more misfortunate for DeDeDe who had to deal with her calling him over her COMP, using the glasses function so all he could really see were dead remains of bull creatures littered among ripped asphalt and concrete while her voice cut in.

And Samus's voice comes across as... extremely furious. In fact, furious enough to the point where it hardly sounds like Samus at all, as she wouldn't usually get so terribly worked up over something so silly and harmless.]

[When DeDeDe's side of the comp feed flickers back on, he's wearing a robe and sitting at his desk. His face is turned for the moment toward the unseen demons still hanging out in his office.]

Get the fuck outta here!

[And then his attention is back on Samus.]

I was tryin' to get my rocks off, but I can see one of the girls had different ideas.

[The feed continues showing Samus's view, and all that is visible for a moment is static as she rolls forward into a screw attack, ripping through another group of bulls and landing with a heavy thunk on the ground.]

There are civilians dying out here, children are in danger, their parents are being ripped to shreds!! We have a duty to protect them, why are you concerning yourself with something so unbelievably petty?!

[She is practically screaming at him in anger and it's pretty clear that she's not... quite right in the head right now. Her view goes down to the cannon on her arm and she presses a pattern of somewhat invisible buttons that only light up when being pressed, before her view pans up to the sky where a ship is flying, firing missiles down into the streets.]

I told you before - I ain't no hero, and I'm sure as hell not gonna fight another turf war over someone else's argument. I locked this place down and made it a safehouse, but I've got no intention of dancin' to the tune of Madam Butterfly or anyone else. If I'm goin' down here, I'm at least gonna go down doin' what I love.

[He seems reasonably pissed off too, but it's unclear as to whether he's angry at her accusations or the situation itself.]

You don't care?? [Her sheer disgust is clearly apparent.] Your apathy is just as much of a menace to this city as the monsters destroying it.

[Her frustration builds enough to the point where she literally grabs one of the charging bulls by the horns and slams it into the ground, a show of both strength and menace.]

We need as much backup as we can get, your selfish actions will cost us this war!!

[He turns to rub briefly at the head of his hammer before making a fist and slamming it down on the desk.]

I couldn't do a damn thing back then, and I can't do a damn thing now. A washed up broken old bird like me... ain't nobody needs someone like that.

...Old birds like you have done more than you would think.

[As she says this, her ancient bird of a Persona appears before her, casting a wall of flames at a thick group of enemies, the flames burning high and mighty with enhanced fire energy.]

If you want to wallow away in your hideout, then fine, be my guest. I've seen you fight, though. I don't believe for a second that you'd be useless in battle.
