▼ The Darkening Days

Who: Everyone. This is a general catch-all Taurus Event log. If you would like to do your own separate logs either due to pacing or easier loading, by all means, please do so!
Where: The Entire City
Summary: The last days of the Taurus event as things start to sour dramatically. During the 13th hour, Mutation Skills are unlocked for certain people (see the info post here) and now people have a chance against the swarming mechanized bulls. Unfortunately, for some, this means the paranoia hit a new low....if you want, you can get together and join each other's posts to try to hold the city down and protect everyone!
Warnings: Strange Attitudes, NPCs, Attacking, Battles.
Note: Please mark your post with what date they are happening. We are allowing anywhere from the 23th to future-dating to the 26th itself. Go on and have fun!

▼ The nights grow weary and a pattern seems to be forming...(days until the 26th)

Most of the Taurus civilians had willingly put themselves in confinement. As their symptoms began to rise, at the very least, there was little chance for them to cause problems. It looked like, hopefully, that they could hold back a lot of the damage and deaths to the city.

How completely wrong they would end up being...

▼ The day of reckoning...(April 26th, before the 13th Hour)

In retrospect, they should have realized something was wrong. While the Scorpio civilians were screaming about doom much like it had been predicted, Aquarius and Leo were not.

More research was needed...but there was no time now.

Somehow, everyone that had gone to the holding facilities were being freed from their confinement areas. No one knew who or got in, or how they got out, but many guards were injured in the process-- or worse.

The city turned into an all too (unfortunately) familiar sight. The Taurus civilians were causing havoc in the city, joined by others that the city had not predicted. Observers and Researchers quickly realized that these were all the earth signs, and a signal was given out; but too little, too late.

The city needed to fight back, lest it lose even more of its members. The situation was dire, but they had the Visitors on their side.

...For better or for worse.

▼ The Hour at Hand...(April 26th, 13th Hour)

13th Hour.

By now, the city was in chaos. For those who had witnessed the Scorpio outbreak it was an unfortunate similarity they might want to forget, but for others, this horror was brand new.

Giant mechanical bulls patrolled the city and continued to swarm, the police force trying to contain them and help as many as they could.

As time went on, mechanical parts and rocks fell to the floor from the bulls. Once the 13th hour hit...the remaining ones mutated, standing on two legs. And that wouldn't even be the worst of it...

And yet even in this Hour, there is hope. Power surges in a select few, and with a new skill at their tips, the battle may be won yet. But remember your mission: you came to protect this city. That includes the people living here. With so much chaos, you'll also need to help them and reduce the number of deaths as much as possible...and try not too look too closely at a looming figure in the Taurus Ward...

[So... Bulls. That's what this is about, right? And here's another masked Taurus prowling around the city, threatening it's innocent citizens. Except there's something a little... strange about this one.

Maybe it's the fact that his assaults seem sort of eclectic. He's been accosting random people on the street one after the other, and taking a single small object from each. A button from one, a handkerchief from another, a torn scrap of clothing, and so forth. He hasn't been gentle by any means, if they struggle, he's quick to use force. But once he has what he wants, he leaves them and moves on to the next person.

Or maybe it's the fact that he seems more like a bear than a bull. Right down to the large, clawed right arm. Either way, you should probably stay out of his way. Anyone he sees is likely to become his next victim.

Fellow Taurii, he'll leave you alone. Other earth signs he'll still want tokens from, but he'll be a lot less likely to resort to violence. Lucky you, right?]

[Between the mask, the bear arm, and her own panic, Nano doesn't recognize Senri at all. And she's also pretty bad at avoiding being noticed, letting out a loud scream as she sees him rampaging his way through the streets.]

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh! Don't hurt me!

[Oh, Nano. You should know that running from a predator only attracts their attention. Especially if you scream while doing it.

Yeah, he's pursuing. How fast can you run?]

[The answer: not terribly fast at all. But at least she's got the presence of mind to take Pinocchio out and drop a quick Marakukaja on herself while she's trying.]

P-please!

[Then he's gonna catch up with her.

Gabbing the back of her shirt, he's tossing her to the ground. He growls threateningly, trying to intimidate his prey.

Is is working?

Either way, he's going to pin her down with his foot. Because by now he's gotten a better look. And something isn't right.

Hang on, he has to check something.]

[Consider her intimidated. Because of the key, it's much easier for Nano to be pinned face down instead. She screams toward the pavement, twice as panicked now because she can't see what Senri's doing. The noise quickly gives way to sad whimpering and nervous shaking, though, as she tries desperately not to escalate the situation even further.]

[If she listens closely, between those sad whimpers, she may hear a sound like rustling paper. Or pages turning.

After a few seconds it stops. He's found a string. Nano. Ah, that's why she looked familiar. Which means he doesn't need anything else from her. So his foot is removed. And he reaches down to lift her up again.]

Aaaaaaaaaaaa--

[Nano yells and flails as she's being picked up until it becomes apparent that he's not trying to hurt her, at which point she immediately shuts her mouth and just stares.]

[He sets her on the ground. Not exactly gentle but at least she's back on her feet. After looking her over one more time, he turns away.

That guy across the street better watch out though. ...]

[Yeah, all she does is whimper pathetically and stare back.]

[Then she can have a front row seat as he very roughly shakes some random guy down for his.... handkerchief?

Yeah, that's a handkerchief. And once Senri has it, the guy is left on the ground, bleeding from a clawed shoulder. And then it's off to find someone else. Wasn't that fun?]

[Nano is still confused as heck, but she's at least got enough presence of mind to take out Pinocchio and heal the poor guy.
