▼ The Darkening Days

Who: Everyone. This is a general catch-all Taurus Event log. If you would like to do your own separate logs either due to pacing or easier loading, by all means, please do so!
Where: The Entire City
Summary: The last days of the Taurus event as things start to sour dramatically. During the 13th hour, Mutation Skills are unlocked for certain people (see the info post here) and now people have a chance against the swarming mechanized bulls. Unfortunately, for some, this means the paranoia hit a new low....if you want, you can get together and join each other's posts to try to hold the city down and protect everyone!
Warnings: Strange Attitudes, NPCs, Attacking, Battles.
Note: Please mark your post with what date they are happening. We are allowing anywhere from the 23th to future-dating to the 26th itself. Go on and have fun!

▼ The nights grow weary and a pattern seems to be forming...(days until the 26th)

Most of the Taurus civilians had willingly put themselves in confinement. As their symptoms began to rise, at the very least, there was little chance for them to cause problems. It looked like, hopefully, that they could hold back a lot of the damage and deaths to the city.

How completely wrong they would end up being...

▼ The day of reckoning...(April 26th, before the 13th Hour)

In retrospect, they should have realized something was wrong. While the Scorpio civilians were screaming about doom much like it had been predicted, Aquarius and Leo were not.

More research was needed...but there was no time now.

Somehow, everyone that had gone to the holding facilities were being freed from their confinement areas. No one knew who or got in, or how they got out, but many guards were injured in the process-- or worse.

The city turned into an all too (unfortunately) familiar sight. The Taurus civilians were causing havoc in the city, joined by others that the city had not predicted. Observers and Researchers quickly realized that these were all the earth signs, and a signal was given out; but too little, too late.

The city needed to fight back, lest it lose even more of its members. The situation was dire, but they had the Visitors on their side.

...For better or for worse.

▼ The Hour at Hand...(April 26th, 13th Hour)

13th Hour.

By now, the city was in chaos. For those who had witnessed the Scorpio outbreak it was an unfortunate similarity they might want to forget, but for others, this horror was brand new.

Giant mechanical bulls patrolled the city and continued to swarm, the police force trying to contain them and help as many as they could.

As time went on, mechanical parts and rocks fell to the floor from the bulls. Once the 13th hour hit...the remaining ones mutated, standing on two legs. And that wouldn't even be the worst of it...

And yet even in this Hour, there is hope. Power surges in a select few, and with a new skill at their tips, the battle may be won yet. But remember your mission: you came to protect this city. That includes the people living here. With so much chaos, you'll also need to help them and reduce the number of deaths as much as possible...and try not too look too closely at a looming figure in the Taurus Ward...

[Miyako watches everyone's reaction, how they act and any changes she can see. Other than the trouble they're causing, seeing it in action was rather interesting.

It might be different if it happens again, but it makes for a good reference point.]

26th
[She is not weak.

As a Gemini, even Miyako isn't immune to the changes. She doesn't seem any different at first, until she see someone that catches her eyes and draw out her katana at them.

And challenge them into a duel. Yes or no, she will have her fight and win.

Even if it means she have to kill for it.]

[The mouth that speaks such monotone, nearly-robotic speech becomes hidden by the adjustment of a hand to adjust the shawl around his neck, his red eyes only slightly moving down to see the katana in Miyako's hands before they resume their piercing stare towards her.]

And you are not one of them.

[The monotone, almost-robotic speech would rouse her curiosity on any other day. But tonight, she's focused on what she want. Miyako stare back at him, her pale eyes meeting his red ones.]

I may not have horns like them, but I will make you halt.

[The staredown continues, the wind picking up and billowing the shawl from under the Reploid. An outstretched hand holds a small tube with bulbous ends, and a flick of a finger later would see the top bulb shoot forth a wave of green light.]

Then I will see you try...

[He leaps high into the air, taking the saber in both hands over his head. His red eyes glare down at the one in his way, the ever-present frown on his face enhancing the expression greatly.]

...try and stop the coming of the Messiah!

[Speaking of cannonballs, here's one coming right at Miyako, a literal buzzsaw heading her way, Zero using his falling momentum to flip and slash his way through.]

[Miyako immediately moves out of the way, just managing to avoid being hit in time. Even with her sword, she doesn't know what this robotic figure's weapon can do if it makes contact with her body.

Beside pain.

Once he's down, Miyako quickly runs in--being quite fast for a human--and slash out at Zero with her katana.]

I have no time for you, mortal. I have daemons to slay.

[ He attempts to simply walk by her something between annoyance and wrath playing over his vox-cast voice.]

[Instead of walking past her, she step in front of him and look up at the large man.]

I won't let you pass until I am done with you. [His figure is large and imposing, but that's not what's important to her right now.] Are you a strong warrior?

I am Legiones Astartes, defender of humanity, and foe of those that would stand against it. That is all you must now. Now -Stand- -ASIDE-.

[ He growls through his voxcaster. ]

[She never moves, pointing her blade at him.]

Titles mean nothing to me, only strength. If you want me to move, you have to force me.

[ Loken sighs, and relaxes, almost like he's going to bypass her, then unleashes a thunderous backhand that is carefully calibrated not to kill her if it strikes home, simply send her sprawling and possibly daze her, if she's got remotely human physical capabilities. ]
