▼ The Darkening Days

Who: Everyone. This is a general catch-all Taurus Event log. If you would like to do your own separate logs either due to pacing or easier loading, by all means, please do so!
Where: The Entire City
Summary: The last days of the Taurus event as things start to sour dramatically. During the 13th hour, Mutation Skills are unlocked for certain people (see the info post here) and now people have a chance against the swarming mechanized bulls. Unfortunately, for some, this means the paranoia hit a new low....if you want, you can get together and join each other's posts to try to hold the city down and protect everyone!
Warnings: Strange Attitudes, NPCs, Attacking, Battles.
Note: Please mark your post with what date they are happening. We are allowing anywhere from the 23th to future-dating to the 26th itself. Go on and have fun!

▼ The nights grow weary and a pattern seems to be forming...(days until the 26th)

Most of the Taurus civilians had willingly put themselves in confinement. As their symptoms began to rise, at the very least, there was little chance for them to cause problems. It looked like, hopefully, that they could hold back a lot of the damage and deaths to the city.

How completely wrong they would end up being...

▼ The day of reckoning...(April 26th, before the 13th Hour)

In retrospect, they should have realized something was wrong. While the Scorpio civilians were screaming about doom much like it had been predicted, Aquarius and Leo were not.

More research was needed...but there was no time now.

Somehow, everyone that had gone to the holding facilities were being freed from their confinement areas. No one knew who or got in, or how they got out, but many guards were injured in the process-- or worse.

The city turned into an all too (unfortunately) familiar sight. The Taurus civilians were causing havoc in the city, joined by others that the city had not predicted. Observers and Researchers quickly realized that these were all the earth signs, and a signal was given out; but too little, too late.

The city needed to fight back, lest it lose even more of its members. The situation was dire, but they had the Visitors on their side.

...For better or for worse.

▼ The Hour at Hand...(April 26th, 13th Hour)

13th Hour.

By now, the city was in chaos. For those who had witnessed the Scorpio outbreak it was an unfortunate similarity they might want to forget, but for others, this horror was brand new.

Giant mechanical bulls patrolled the city and continued to swarm, the police force trying to contain them and help as many as they could.

As time went on, mechanical parts and rocks fell to the floor from the bulls. Once the 13th hour hit...the remaining ones mutated, standing on two legs. And that wouldn't even be the worst of it...

And yet even in this Hour, there is hope. Power surges in a select few, and with a new skill at their tips, the battle may be won yet. But remember your mission: you came to protect this city. That includes the people living here. With so much chaos, you'll also need to help them and reduce the number of deaths as much as possible...and try not too look too closely at a looming figure in the Taurus Ward...

[Yamato's tone sharpened - although it was true. This place had made him soft. Tch. Now was not the time to brood on such things. He had a rather mentally unstable woman to deal with - this was going to end horribly]

Let's think about this logically. Moloch does not have the strength to create this level of chaos. If you recall, Moloch ranks mid-high tier in strength, and has little to no influence on the minds of humans. He is raw brutality. If anything, he would be here himself crushing humans and devouring them, instead of allowing his subordinates to have all the 'fun', as it were.

Also, due to Moloch's nature, sacrificing children to him after this show of tyranny - presuming it is him - will make him bolder, and more likely to attack humans in this fashion, since it's proven to grant him power through sacrifice. JP's does not bow to demons who take the lives of humans as tribute, Kanno. The proper response would be to find the source of the insanity, and monsters, and eradicate or seal it.

There really aren't that many bull-themed demons or gods out there. Moloch seemed the most likely candidate. But we're in just as much trouble if it's any of them. The celestial midpoint is moving through the constellation Taurus, and they're drawing strength from it, I can tell. But we're not going to be able to do anything until we know who we're dealing with. If it's not Moloch, we have even less time than I'd thought.

[She immediately starts tearing through some of the books she has assembled on her desk, flipping wildly through the pages.]

The Lesser Key of Solomon... bull-headed demons... why are there so many? This is going to take forever. Count Marax, King Asmodeus, President Haagenti, King Balam, King Zagan...

[Well, Yamato seemed to have diverted her from sacrificing children at least. Did this count as success then?]

To help narrow your search, look for ones that associate closely with avarice, and then those that have the power to influence the hearts of men. Only a demon whose powers naturally lean towards such things can cause this magnitude of possession.

[That should keep her busy. Maybe.]

Asmodeus would be my gut feeling out of that list, then. Unfortunately, we might be in even worse shape if he's the one we're dealing with. The Nine Kings of Hell aren't to be dealt with lightly, after all.

Of course. But we have dealt demons on par with them before. We merely have to locate where the demon's power is manifesting from, and seal it.

How can you be so calm about this? We have even less time than we did after beating Mizar at home, and far less data.

Why shouldn't I be calm? Would panicking and allowing my fear to cloud my judgement help in any way? Hmph, obviously not. It isn't doing you any favours, after all.

Glad you understand. Don't go sacrificing any children in my absence, now. I don't want to deal with the paperwork that would entail from my subordinate going on an mass murdering rampage.

You'd think the government here would be invested in its continued existence and willing to overlook a few casualties of war as acceptable losses.
