Who: Everyone. This is a general catch-all Taurus Event log. If you would like to do your own separate logs either due to pacing or easier loading, by all means, please do so!
Where: The Entire City
Summary: The last days of the Taurus event as things start to sour dramatically. During the 13th hour, Mutation Skills are unlocked for certain people (see the info post here) and now people have a chance against the swarming mechanized bulls. Unfortunately, for some, this means the paranoia hit a new low....if you want, you can get together and join each other's posts to try to hold the city down and protect everyone!
Warnings: Strange Attitudes, NPCs, Attacking, Battles.
Note: Please mark your post with what date they are happening. We are allowing anywhere from the 23th to future-dating to the 26th itself. Go on and have fun!

Most of the Taurus civilians had willingly put themselves in confinement. As their symptoms began to rise, at the very least, there was little chance for them to cause problems. It looked like, hopefully, that they could hold back a lot of the damage and deaths to the city.

How completely wrong they would end up being...

▼ The day of reckoning...(April 26th, before the 13th Hour)

 

In retrospect, they should have realized something was wrong. While the Scorpio civilians were screaming about doom much like it had been predicted, Aquarius and Leo were not.

More research was needed...but there was no time now.

Somehow, everyone that had gone to the holding facilities were being freed from their confinement areas. No one knew who or got in, or how they got out, but many guards were injured in the process-- or worse.

The city turned into an all too (unfortunately) familiar sight. The Taurus civilians were causing havoc in the city, joined by others that the city had not predicted. Observers and Researchers quickly realized that these were all the earth signs, and a signal was given out; but too little, too late.

The city needed to fight back, lest it lose even more of its members. The situation was dire, but they had the Visitors on their side.

...For better or for worse.

▼ The Hour at Hand...(April 26th, 13th Hour)

 

13th Hour.

By now, the city was in chaos. For those who had witnessed the Scorpio outbreak it was an unfortunate similarity they might want to forget, but for others, this horror was brand new.

Giant mechanical bulls patrolled the city and continued to swarm, the police force trying to contain them and help as many as they could.

As time went on, mechanical parts and rocks fell to the floor from the bulls. Once the 13th hour hit...the remaining ones mutated, standing on two legs. And that wouldn't even be the worst of it...

And yet even in this Hour, there is hope. Power surges in a select few, and with a new skill at their tips, the battle may be won yet. But remember your mission: you came to protect this city. That includes the people living here. With so much chaos, you'll also need to help them and reduce the number of deaths as much as possible...and try not too look too closely at a looming figure in the Taurus Ward...

[ 26th - A-A-A-CTION; Taurus district ]

[ Now that the past few days are over and logic has kicked in, Eiji's running straight towards the Taurus district with... some... difficulty. He definitely doesn't want to hurt the zombie people, but it's kind of hard to aim for the bulls and pacify the crowds safely at the same time. He's picking his way through steadily and patiently, though, picking up knocked out citizens one by one and depositing them at the tops of buildings and behind sturdy doors. Your character could catch him during his fights, or just laugh as he carries away yet another knocked out citizen to a safe berth. He's apologizing. A lot. ]

[Unfortunately for her, Aqua too has to go through the Taurus District. Not just because she once worked in this district and is worried for those she knows still are, but also due to the fact she has others in districts to make sure are safe (and granted, a brother and keychild to make sure is not causing TOO much trouble now that she can think clearly THIS time).

So when she is passing through the back routes and headed for one club in particular before heading to the Inn across town, she notices someone carrying one of the unfortunate ones who was an affected Earth sign.]

...I'd save the apologies for when they're conscious.

[But then they'd likely be apologizing instead, and sob... maybe she should help with that too.]

[ By now, he's pretty much given up on his original plan and decided to focus on getting people to safety, Taurus affected and citizens alike. It was very difficult for him to make the decision - there doesn't seem to be an end to the waves, and he's not sure if he trusts that everything else will work out - but he doesn't want to just leave people! That's the very last thing in the world he wants.

His masked self whirls around as soon as he hears the voice, reaching back to scratch the back of his helmeted head in mild embarrassment. ]

Ah... I suppose so. Still, if there's any chance they can hear me, I want to apologize while I can! [ He starts walking off in search of his next fight, head ducked down in solid embarrassment territory. ] I don't know if I'll see any of them again, after all.

[It's something that makes her smile a little. The fact that one of them seems sane is enough for her, and he has a point.]

[She raises her blade slightly, a spark of strange whitish light emitting around the tip of the key. She's suddenly glad she still has status effect spells to help with.] I have quite a few crowd-control spells, so I cast; you carry.

[S-sob, she normally isn't so bossy she swears. ;;]

[ Eiji does do a double take, but more at the suddenness of the commands than any real argument (and at the spell! Magic? From... a giant.... key ok not askin' questions here). He nods once the picture makes it to the "do stuff" core of his brain. ]

R... Right! [ ... one last thought before he goes running off. ] Whatever you're doing... You're not hurting them, right?

[Dude your mask makes you look like a bug are you seriously asking that in parantheses and brackets right now? She simply gives a confident smile before shaking her head.]

No... It's simply causing them to sleep or bind them magically to keep them from hurting themselves or others.

[She'll only seal the stronger ones away and unseal them after the Hour's over.]

[ Eiji's on his way from dropping off his latest victim rescuee, using his Cheetah legs to move a bit faster, but his Hawk eyes definitely catch the unusual sight of someone standing perfectly still amidst all this chaos. Was it the shock? He back pedals and jogs towards him, his masked head tilted in concern. The idea of having a henshin hero fan has not even crossed his mind yet. ]
