Like Bulls in a China Shop: Taurus Log

▼ The Darkening Days

Who: Everyone. This is a general catch-all Taurus Event log. If you would like to do your own separate logs either due to pacing or easier loading, by all means, please do so!
Where: The Entire City
Summary: The last days of the Taurus event as things start to sour dramatically. During the 13th hour, Mutation Skills are unlocked for certain people (see the info post here) and now people have a chance against the swarming mechanized bulls. Unfortunately, for some, this means the paranoia hit a new low....if you want, you can get together and join each other's posts to try to hold the city down and protect everyone!
Warnings: Strange Attitudes, NPCs, Attacking, Battles.
Note: Please mark your post with what date they are happening. We are allowing anywhere from the 23th to future-dating to the 26th itself. Go on and have fun!

▼ The nights grow weary and a pattern seems to be forming...(days until the 26th)

Most of the Taurus civilians had willingly put themselves in confinement. As their symptoms began to rise, at the very least, there was little chance for them to cause problems. It looked like, hopefully, that they could hold back a lot of the damage and deaths to the city.

How completely wrong they would end up being...

▼ The day of reckoning...(April 26th, before the 13th Hour)

In retrospect, they should have realized something was wrong. While the Scorpio civilians were screaming about doom much like it had been predicted, Aquarius and Leo were not.

More research was needed...but there was no time now.

Somehow, everyone that had gone to the holding facilities were being freed from their confinement areas. No one knew who or got in, or how they got out, but many guards were injured in the process-- or worse.

The city turned into an all too (unfortunately) familiar sight. The Taurus civilians were causing havoc in the city, joined by others that the city had not predicted. Observers and Researchers quickly realized that these were all the earth signs, and a signal was given out; but too little, too late.

The city needed to fight back, lest it lose even more of its members. The situation was dire, but they had the Visitors on their side.

...For better or for worse.

▼ The Hour at Hand...(April 26th, 13th Hour)

13th Hour.

By now, the city was in chaos. For those who had witnessed the Scorpio outbreak it was an unfortunate similarity they might want to forget, but for others, this horror was brand new.

Giant mechanical bulls patrolled the city and continued to swarm, the police force trying to contain them and help as many as they could.

As time went on, mechanical parts and rocks fell to the floor from the bulls. Once the 13th hour hit...the remaining ones mutated, standing on two legs. And that wouldn't even be the worst of it...

And yet even in this Hour, there is hope. Power surges in a select few, and with a new skill at their tips, the battle may be won yet. But remember your mission: you came to protect this city. That includes the people living here. With so much chaos, you'll also need to help them and reduce the number of deaths as much as possible...and try not too look too closely at a looming figure in the Taurus Ward...

you hate me. that is fine though. i am well aware that gods exist because humans believe them to exist. i do not hold myself higher than them. i do not hold myself to them at all.

but perhaps i misspoke earlier. the self preservation is a powerful trait of humanity. but it ties into will. that. yes. the will is the strongest trait. the inability to give up. the fact that the world can end a thousand times. and humans would still live. still thrive. still endure. they adapt. they create. and they destroy themselves. only to repeat the cycle.

self-preservation and will. creation and destruction. they are miniature gods. gods in numbers. gods in will. no. gods bend to them. gods cannot.

their voices clamber in a great cry that can command the gods. their prayers are things that carry that power. give power. the power of words are frightening. arent they. to cry out with every ounce of their belief and desires. you have to obey.

obey and. grant. it. to.

Is this some sort of prank?
I never said I hated you, but you seem more like a rambling moron than any sort of nonhuman celestial entity.
I have much more important things to direct my hatred towards than you, such as this Creation and Destruction.
I hope you weren't trying to get anyone to take you seriously.

i don't care if i am taken seriously or not. i would prefer not to be taken seriously.

it would count as meddling.

it would skew results.

however i am curious as to why you are continuing in communicating with me if you view my words as moronic or lacking substance. it was my understanding that one normally ignored things they found distasteful in such a manner. am i wrong.

You realize by the very act of interacting with anyone, you are meddling?

I would say so. Usually when one gets started, people keep arguing if you've gotten them worked up.
It's another tick of human nature.

[let's not acknowledge how stupid that kind of makes jun sounds a h e m ]

ah. i did not view it in that manner. i suppose i always presumed that if my words are not taken seriously. then it doesnt quite count. that was foolish of me.

but i cannot learn more if i do not communicate. this is a dilemma.

my apologies for working you up then. that was not my intention. allow me to start over. i realise i have been rude throughout this entire conversation. my thoughts have been rather scattered as of late. although i recognise that this is not a valid excuse.

hello stranger. i am anant. who are you.

Unless you do nothing but objectively observe, it is impossible to not contaminate any results, even if people don't take you seriously.

Human observation is a foolish experiment anyway.

My name is Jun Kurosu.

ahhh i do not have the luxury of objectiveness. alas. it does not matter though. mildly off putting. but nothing bad. my main goal is learning. understanding. why they do this and that. how they do it.

it is nice to meet you jun kurosu.

You'd be better off asking directly than trying to extrapolate anything from how people act.
But they're just as liable to lie to you, so I suppose it doesn't matter.

It's nice to meet you too.
[Even though it's REALLY NOT man this person rubbed him the wrong way.] Unfortunately I don't have a position so lofty as observing the human race myself. I'm just a high school student.

i inquire often but humans are very contradictory. when one says one thing another says something else entirely. i am aware that individualism means that there is a broad range in differences on even the smallest of topics. but. it is daunting at times.

high school student. i am not familiar with that term.

Human nature is contradictory, fostered by a desire to both destroy and create. You should learn to come to terms with it.

It's.. a student in the last three years of public schooling. It's a very basic concept.

[who the fuck doesn't know what a high school is.]
