"Q, one of the Seven," he explains. "We have a situation in the nearby district involving a monster that requires someone with an air sign...please do not ask how we figured this out. You are the closest who can get there on a timely manner. It shouldn't be too hard to spot really, simply follow the trail of destruction and mayhem nearby, where a team of allies will also be present." A small pause before he added.

"You are able to defend yourself?"

She seemed to be, but you could never be sure, and Q knew that experience was varied in the Visitors.

"A monster..." She allows herself a small, secret smile. As puzzling as everything else is, fighting monsters is something she can handle. "Yes, I can fight. I'll be there shortly."

After a short detour to duck into the nearest dark alley and transform, Hoshi finds the aforementioned trail of destruction and mayhem and races to join her new teammates. Soon enough, there's a magical girl on the scene.

"Sorry I'm late."

With a new ally, Hoshi arrives just as Q preforms a third scan. Just in time too, as the information displayed spells out for them what they need to do next.

"So it seems that it's earth immunity is completely destroyed. Alright, attack with whatever attacks you can do, and if you cannot, there's more than enough ground and piles of dirt around here to kick or throw at the creature."

The only problem is that it would be much harder for someone in the group...

Earth. Of course. More elements that don't exist as viable elemental attacks in Fumi's world. With a sigh, she picks up a clump of dirt from among the rubble and hurls it at the monster.

Xellos raises an eyebrow, then swings his staff in the direction of some sizable rocks and dirt clods lying around. "Diem Wing!" Air blasts forth and envelops them in a bubble, which is then moved over Taura's head before it's dispersed, dropping them upon the beast.

"At least some of these things are a bit less nonsensical to do," he mutters to himself.

Protect her.

Help her.

Your precious friend, your sister. Connected to you by the stars.

Latooni shook her head. This wasn't right. She couldn't attack Taura, could she? Not after the others she'd lost, not after her other mistakes. She couldn't even remember why she was fighting anymore.

Couldn't remember...

"I'm glad you let me remember, in the end."

She blinked, her mind making sudden connections even faster than she was used to. The Zodiac, this world, her world, her past, the present. She was being controlled, just as she used to. Just as they used to. Just as Ouka used to.

So, she realized, was Taura. She was no more under the control of her actions than the victims of the GEIM System or Dr. Setme's "teaching" or even the Machine Cells.

She could break that spell, but it would mean...

Taking a deep breath, she focused her mind on the mission. Earth. The sign of Taurus, and the grave where so many people had been left, along with Ouka.

"I'm sorry," she said, resigned and with tears falling down her face, "but you need to sleep now, beneath the earth."

Skogsra appeared outside the Wildraubtier to lead the Earth attack with her spell, the lonely wood spirit's face reflecting Latooni's own.

Earth, something that Trombe didn't have, but nearby Elzam spied a building that was on its last legs. Hoping that it had been evacuated he had the robot draw its rifles and blast at the base, then zipped around it and went charging at the structure, looking to knock it over on the monster.

Hoshi wrinkles her nose irritably. She's a shadow powered magical girl whose Persona only awakened half an hour ago, and so she has no earth skills to speak of. Boy, she sure feels useful right now.

Sighing and rolling her eyes, she takes Fumi's lead, picking up a clump of dirt and throwing it at the creature.

Once again, the attacks combined, this time forming a crust of earth, completely covering the creature as it transformed into a skin of pure rock. The stone crackled and exploded, sending the shards into the creature, slamming it from all angles. It fell over to the side, looking like it was having trouble standing up.

"Now let's see," Q's voice rang out in their minds.

"Right! This time it's wind. The first of such incidents, we didn't know, but now it is the last of the elements we can attack it with. Once that's done, we may be able to deal a mortal blow!"

Once again, the weakness is back to something Fumi is actually capable of producing. She smiles as she sends Fenghuang out for one more attack, the firebird producing a razor-sharp flurry of wind sickles as it flaps its mighty wings in the direction of Taura.

"Well, it worked so well the last time the creature was weak to wind," Xellos starts with a cruel smirk. "May as well do it again."

His staff is raised as he begins to incant - "Wind which blows across eternity, gather in my hands and become my strength! BLAM GUSH!" A swirling torrent of wind gathers around the head of the staff, then blows forward and up toward Taura. Once it draws close, Xellos cuts his staff to the side, cuing the explosive part of the spell. "Now, break!"

"Wind.... Hrm...."

Elzam looks over the controls and nods and starts having Trombe zip around the monster, faster and faster, trying to generate as much wind as possible.

Latooni sees that the ~~Major~~ mysterious gourmet has a good idea. Taking a couple of deep breaths to focus herself, she flies the Wildraubtier away from the battlefield a ways, only to immediately turn and strafe past Taura at near-Mach speed, using the shockwave of her passage as a "wind" attack. And taking out a few dozen more windows in the surrounding buildings.

Hoshi doesn't have a giant robot to zip around and manipulate the air with, but she does have a strength boost. She steps back and scrounges through the nearby debris for a moment, searching... and then, aha! She lifts up a huge sheet of metal, almost twice her size, and starts to "fan" it at Taura, creating a powerful gust of wind.

The wind attacks combined, forming another deadly whirlwind, spinning the Taurus monster into the air for a few seconds before it slammed into the ground again. This time, it was barely stirring, it's hands attempting to push itself up...but failing.

They could hear the cheering from the nearby inhabitants who had gathered some distance away - no matter how dangerous the situation, there would always be some form of spectators.

Something else seemed to be stirring within themselves too. As the creature grew weaker, the wild energy around seemed to unlock a part of themselves that had been blocked...

"There we are! The door's wide open for the creature's true weaknesses!" Q's enthusiasm had returned in force, especially compared to the dire situation before. Mister Xellos, I believe you must be the last to strike if this plan is to work successfully."

"Correct! Give it a thrashing that shall sever its life from this plane of existence!"

"...oh do put a sock in it, Orpheus."

Still stuck to the ground, it was unable to retaliate. Which meant that they now had a window wide open of causing as much damage to it as possible.

"You've got to hit the creature with your strongest attack!"

"But don't destroy the neighborhood too much!"

"THIS IS IT THEN! FINISH THE JOB!!"

[SPECIAL ORDER FOR THIS tag. Instead of everyone on the same, we're going to reestablish tagging order, and the next character 'picks up' from the previous character's damage to the creature in a chain attack. Latooni nodded and transformed the 'raubtier again, landing on the street next to Ratsel and the Aussenseiter. She knew this well. When the enemy was on its last legs, you hit it with everything you have. Even if it was someone you were supposed to protect, if you had to, you had to.

It occurred to her as she lined up the giant demoness in her sights that being a soldier was, in fact, terrible sometimes. But when she thought of all the people who helped her through - Nano and Ruri here, Ryusei or Shine back home - it made her feel a little better.

"Ratsel," she said over her comm, already feeling just a bit like her normal self. "Neither of us have our usual partners here, but we can improvise something, right?"

She focused her mind, drawing out Vasilisa in front of the Wildraubtier, only for her Persona to split into two as part of its mutation skill. She charged forward in the Wildraubtier, firing missiles in support of her own Persona as it performed a coordinated attack on Taura and counting on the rest of the group to follow through. "Royal Heart Maximum Breaker!" she yelled, letting memories of her friends and partners at home help her follow through on the attack.

((So you don't have to look it up, that's physical damage plus a party agility buff and party heal - just in case there's a surprise at the end of this.))

"Heh.... Sanger and I are familiar with the move, I will fill in for you and Raidese's princess... Pattern RHB, correct?"

He closed his eyes as everyone for some reason heard Trombe playing loudly in their heads (mutation skill has his theme music trump all, even boss music, TAKE THAT Pokemans low HP music) as he adjusted his goggles and gunned the throttle on his robot as he had Trombe fill in the place of the princess' red unit.

Luckily, despite the fact that Hoshi has had very little time to adjust to the whole Persona summoning thing, the process isn't too different from the calling sequence she uses for her Magical Hunter attacks. She inhales deeply, squeezing her eyes shut and steeling herself, and her Persona appears behind her, rearing its head back and howling at the moon.

"Here we go, Hotaru!" she cries out, leaping high into the air, and she seems to be collecting shadows as she goes. Before long, she is encased in darkness; where most people would feel lost, she feels like she is in her rightful place in the world. When she hits the peak of her jump, she and the black and purple wolf launch themselves back down toward Taura, the shadows swirling and shifting, leaving their place at Hoshi's side to strike at the demon. "Homo homini lupus est!"

((that's dark damage + equivalent healing to Hoshi, yup))

Fumi muses for a moment as the boss' new set of weaknesses are exposed. While it would be tempting to summon Tao Tie again and set loose another Megidolaon, the order of the day seems to be Personas and Mutation Skills. Letting the demon sheep sleep for the time being, Fumi once again calls out the shrieking white-bricked wall from the Pink Floyd album of the same name.

Off in the distance and echoing in from all around is the sound of a large crowd of people chanting 'HAMMER! HAMMER! HAMMER!' The sound gets louder and louder, accompanied by the rhythmic sound of marching. Once the noise has reached a crescendo, a large group of goose-stepping hammers appears to trample over Taura's immobilized form.

The visual effect is somewhat lessened accompanied by hot-blooded mecha themes instead of the guitar stylings of David Gilmour, but Fumi seems pleased with the result all the same.

(ooc: Medium Physical damage 2-4 times with a 20% chance of Fear.)

"A music change? How peculiar - though I suppose every world has an equivalent to Prince Philionel to bring comedy to the serious moments," Xellos says with a shrug. He chuckles, then takes to the air, eyes wide and filled with malice as he swings his staff. "Come forth, Persona! Rain down destruction and terror upon this foolish beast!"

...he says that, but given that his Persona is a cartoony spy, it loses some of the impact. However, it does deliver - an initial barrage of black, spherical bombs falls out of his jacket upon pulling it open, then several more are lobbed in by hand, the Persona cackling madly all the while.
