[OPEN][TAURUS EVENT] DAICHI'S SUPER AMAZING FIRE TRUCK ADVENTURE

Who: Daichi Shijima, Yosuke Hanamura [OU], Yosuke Hanamura [AU], Eikichi Mishina, Junpei Iori, Miyabi Hanakouji, Rise Kujikawa, Sasha Fyer, Elaine Marley, and everyone else their merry band of vigilantes is bound to run into
Where: All around the city. On a Firetruck. April 26th, 13th Hour
Summary: In light of everyone going crazy in the 13th Hour, a few of your resident sidekicks have come up with a brilliant plan; hijack a fire truck, and use mobility and access to the fire hydrants to douse the enemies with super-effective watery attacks. Be the Heroes. Save the City.
Warnings: Remember, anyone actually coming along on the firetruck adventure is gonna get slapped with some community service from the government. Also firehose water pressure, also crazy zodiac folks and monsters and Taurus Taurus Taurus.




By the time they had all gotten out of captivity, the chaos in the city had already been fully under way. Everyone going crazy, bull monsters-- it was quite a sight to behold. Daichi, the pair of Yosukes, Eikichi and Junpei had decided it was best to stick together; safety in numbers after all, right?

It was while they were trekking through the city to track down Miyabi that Daichi and Eikichi had gotten an idea; the water attacks from Hades were particularly effective it seemed (enough to bust down the wall, at least), and some of their own elemental attacks had all been restricted. The city had plenty of fire hydrants all over, which means there was water easily accessible if they had the tools. Unfortunately, none of them had the tools, so someone proposed clearly the most elegant solution--

Steal a firetruck from the department in Leo! They'd be able to access the water and be mobile enough to help the whole city. Clearly it was a brilliant plan.

If you're sane, you might guess this is not the most brilliant, or-- sane solution, but under horrible decision-making influence from the Zodiac problems, they deemed this is a perfectly good solution. Any concerns about the exact, er-- legality of it were quickly stowed, because they were of course, trying to save the city. It was the whole reason they were here, after all! And even if it wasn't brilliant, it would turn out to be effective.

Conveniently, Daichi knew his way around the emergency dispatch, and knew where they kept the keys. They'd essentially snuck into the fire station-- most of the people were already out and dispatched anyway, as the situation had only gotten worse since this morning. With a bloated sense of bravery, recklessness and impulsiveness, Daichi had grabbed the keys and hopped into the driver's seat, the others either piling into the back of the truck or joining him in the front seat.

And thus they were off. To fight crime.

Or mutated bull monsters, that worked too.

(OOC: This log is basically gonna go down like a mingle post! Basically, everyone who's riding along on the actual firetruck will be driving around the city, stopping every now and then to fight monsters and help people and what have you, leaving plenty of a chance to encounter your character if you don't want to come for the ride. Make a thread in the log and one or more of the idiots on board will come tag you! We can keep it to one thread, we can have multiple threads, we can have two-person threads or threadjacks, go nuts! Keep it open or request specific characters if you want-- make sure to mention your preferences in the header!

For those that are joining the crusade after the gaggle of sidekicks break out, you can make a thread where your character gets recruited/volunteers to join the firetruck crew, or we can just handwave it if you want. Regardless, you're free to jump all around the post at your leisure as well! Just don't piss off the driver or the captain.)

IDIOTS ON A TRUCK/GENERAL SHENANIGANS

[For if anyone who's coming along for the ride wants to thread out ridiculous things while actually driving around on the truck.]

[So Yosuke had initially thought that this was a really, really great idea when it had been presented to him. After all, he'd been stressing out over how useless he'd been these past several days leading up to the Thirteenth Hour, what with sheer terror wracking him for all that time.

Now that his head was clear, though, and he was clinging for dear life to the side of the fire truck with Apollo flying beside him as they drive down the streets with the siren blaring, heading into masses of monsters on a stolen firetruck... he's starting to rethink this whole thing.

As Daichi swerves and he nearly loses his grip, Yosuke shouts in terror, yelling towards the diver's seat.]

Watch it!! I know we're in a rush but I don't think I could survive falling off of this thing!!

[He just had to volunteer to grip onto the side of the truck like a real fire fighter, huh?]

[Eikichi on he other hand couldn't feel better. He had climbed on top of the truck's ladder, using it as a perch as he got closer to where the last phone call from Miyabi had been.

There's a sense of adventure singing in his veins despite the situation they are in, and he grins as Hades sends another torrent of water at nearby demons.

Man, this hero job was really great when you got a little power boost.]

I don't see what's the problem, he's miles ahead of how Big Sis used to drive!

[Unfortunately for Yosuke, Daichi seemed to be a bit uh... hopped up on the thrill of the ~adventure~-- or maybe the Zodiac effect made him an adrenaline junky.

Either way, he sounded like he was having a damn good time, and completely disregarded Yosuke's request as he kept running red lights. Which, wasn't too big of a problem because there weren't many cars in the streets anyway, and he had a siren on.

Amazingly he was indeed, not crashing or at risk of flipping over. Go figure.]

No time, dude! We've got a city to help and a time limit!

[Also they had to pick up Eikichi's girlfriend or something.]

Oh wow, that's a fire truck!

[The Yosukes' favorite Captain Obvious was standing on a street corner shouting the vital statistics of the nearby bull monsters to anyone fighting them into a megaphone, but now something new's attracted her attention.]

Hey guys! Can I have a ride? That looks SO MUCH FUN!

[If her yelling on a street corner didn't catch his attention, the megaphone sure as hell did!

When she seemed to flag them down, Daichi hit the breaks and pulled them to a stop on the side of the street.]

Uh-- sure, why not? We could use all the help we could get! [And she seemed to know how to beat these things, that was cool.

He gestured to the rest of the truck with a grin.] Hop on in!

Hop in? Bro, that ain't a way to treat a babe! Hades, if you please...

[Eikichi's persona flies down to open the door for her.]

[What's the best way to stop a speeding firetruck? STEP OUT INTO THE STREET RIGHT IN FRONT OF IT.]

[Yeah that was definitely one way to get someone's attention.

There were plenty of methods to safely deal with someone stepping in the middle of the street. Probably. The method Daichi chose was to let out a yell of surprise and slam his foot down on the break, turning just slightly so they didn't crash right into her.]

Augh-- Hey! [He threw the driver's door open to glare at her and so, you know she could hear him being aggravated.] What's the big idea?!

[Yeah guess who doesn't give a flying you-know-what. Not even about being almost run over!]

I am commandeering this vessel. Because of reasons.

[And without giving him a chance to respond she climbs aboard and produces something from behind her back. Wait, is that a Jolly Roger?]

[This is what hell is like, right? Riding on a fire truck for greater justice and worrying incessantly about strangers...

This is ridiculous, right? Some part of Ciel is screaming for him not to make a fool of himself, but here he is. On a fire truck, worriedly scanning the streets for those in danger.

He is even using his pistol to fire at the bull monsters.

[You say ridiculous, we say totally awesome and completely valid ways to fight crime. Or bull monsters. Yeah that one.

But hey, having people that could tell them where to go was always useful! At Ciel's declaration, he eagerly complies, taking another sharp turn, probably much to Yosuke's chagrin. Oops.]

And someone fell down from the top of the truck again. At least he still up there and hasn't tumbled off!

[Guess who's standing not too far away from of bull monsters with a baffled look on her face? Yep. Sasha had finally figured out that she has to use her physical Persona skills, but it didn't seem to be getting her very far. In fact, it seemed like she was deliberately walking into trouble and then proceeding to dill around in these situations until she absolutely had to blast something with Assault Dive to avoid getting injured. What was this, a game? Probably.

When she saw the fire truck coming, she stared at it for a bit as if thinking of something, then looked over her shoulder at the pack of monsters, then back at the fire truck. The pack had yet to deem her a target just yet, but if she stood around much longer, they'd probably start going for her.]

[There was no TIME to think about whether it was a game or not! A collection of monsters meant it was time to stop and do so hero business, as Junpei would probably call it.

When the pack was in sight, Daichi brought the truck to a screech halt on the side of the road (sort of-- it wasn't very graceful parking.) He immediately slammed open the driver's door and-- thankfully it looked like there was a hole for a fire hydrant nearby!]

Guys-- over there! [He called to the others, gesturing towards it, before summoning up Agni himself and running over to Sasha, unleashing an Agilao spell on the monsters as he stopped.

If there was one thing the Zodiac effect was good for, at least the wasn't fretting about using his Persona.] Hey-- everything OK?!

[Ah, a familiar face! That was a pleasant surprise. Smiling brightly, Sasha just talked as if absolutely nothing was going on.]

Hi, Daichi! What're you doing in a fire truck? You can use your fire skills- I'm so jealous!

[That's great for the both of you and he's gonna let you finish, but Dachi did pull the breaks a little too hard because as soon as he does, this fine figure topples from the top and falls on the pavement.]

[Suddenly the joyride is interrupted by an annoyed voice taking over the the police truck's intercom. He didn't sound too happy, considering he'd been trying to help one team out with Taura and now this.]

What in blazes are all of you doing?! The city's emergency isn't an excuse to go joyriding using government property without permission!

[Well-- that was a, er-- surprise! Where before Eikichi had commandeered the radio (after duking it out with Junpei), the voice that came on the radio definitely did not sound like old style American rock.]

Wha-- Q?! [How the fuck did he get on the radio] We're not joyriding! We're totally helping! Don't be like that!!

[It's only now dawning on him that this could've been a bad idea.]

[Q? Who's Q? That sounds like...

Oho! The big boss makes himself known! Or something like that. This is a classic villain move.]

Is that the enemy?! Hey! This truck is ours now, and you can't do anything about it! We're gonna right all the wrongs you started! You know, use your own weapons against you!

Junpei, shush! Our enemies aren't human! Um, I mean, the bull monsters. Not the zombie people. [At least she's coherent enough to know that much.]

Hi, Q! We're trying to help, because water is very effective right now! We really are trying to help, so please don't get mad at us! We'll be good! [Sasha, it doesn't matter if you're good right after you've done something you shouldn't have.]

The chaos was making one red armored robot much more irate than he would normally be, mostly because he was looking for someone in particular. Heck in his hunt for his brother he probably spotted the idiots in a firetruck and paid them no mind.

If they want to go around making a mess? Not his problem. He has bigger, and bluer, fish to fry.

((OOC: some set up before daichi and pals come across Blues and Rock, ok? ok.))

Well, it won't be too difficult to spot Rock - he's running around and helping folks as best he can. He's not armored up, but Rush is with him, so he does still manage to stick out like a sore thumb between the red dog and his big blue boots.

After directing some civilians to a safer area, Rock turns to head off to another place when he spots Blues. A look of relief comes over his face, and he runs toward the other robot with a wave. "Blues! There you are! I was wondering where you were!"

Awesome, Blues was getting tired of trying to dodge the humans who kept getting in his way. Heck he probably punched quite a few of them before he ended up finally finding Rock. And hey!

Rock might be pleased to see his older brother smiling as the younger robot approaches Blues, but it's not really a happy smile.

Which is kind of a given as Blues is just going to deck Rock right in the face as soon as he's close enough.

It isn't until about a fraction of a second before it's too late does Rock realize that smile might not be good - and he gets a big red fist in the face for his trouble, which makes him stumble backwards with a pained noise. He clutches his face with one hand, rather confused. Sure, people were acting weird lately like the government had warned them, but why would Blues be doing this? They're robots, their programming shouldn't be affected by this kind of thing, right?

Right?

Rush snarls and barks at Blues, standing protectively in front of Rock, who finally looks up after a moment. "...what was that for?"
