[OPEN][TAURUS EVENT] DAICHI'S SUPER AMAZING FIRE TRUCK ADVENTURE

Who: Daichi Shijima, Yosuke Hanamura [OU], Yosuke Hanamura [AU], Eikichi Mishina, Junpei Iori, Miyabi Hanakouji, Rise Kujikawa, Sasha Fyer, Elaine Marley, and everyone else their merry band of vigilantes is bound to run into
Where: All around the city. On a Firetruck. April 26th, 13th Hour
Summary: In light of everyone going crazy in the 13th Hour, a few of your resident sidekicks have come up with a brilliant plan; hijack a fire truck, and use mobility and access to the fire hydrants to douse the enemies with super-effective watery attacks. Be the Heroes. Save the City.
Warnings: Remember, anyone actually coming along on the firetruck adventure is gonna get slapped with some community service from the government. Also firehose water pressure, also crazy zodiac folks and monsters and Taurus Taurus Taurus.

By the time they had all gotten out of captivity, the chaos in the city had already been fully under way. Everyone going crazy, bull monsters-- it was quite a sight to behold. Daichi, the pair of Yosukes, Eikichi and Junpei had decided it was best to stick together; safety in numbers after all, right?

It was while they were trekking through the city to track down Miyabi that Daichi and Eikichi had gotten an idea; the water attacks from Hades were particularly effective it seemed (enough to bust down the wall, at least), and some of their own elemental attacks had all been restricted. The city had plenty of fire hydrants all over, which means there was water easily accessible if they had the tools. Unfortunately, none of them had the tools, so someone proposed clearly the most elegant solution--

Steal a firetruck from the department in Leo! They'd be able to access the water and be mobile enough to help the whole city. Clearly it was a brilliant plan.

If you're sane, you might guess this is not the most brilliant, or-- sane solution, but under horrible decision-making influence from the Zodiac problems, they deemed this is a perfectly good solution. Any concerns about the exact, er-- legality of it were quickly stowed, because they were of course, trying to save the city. It was the whole reason they were here, after all! And even if it wasn't brilliant, it would turn out to be effective.

Conveniently, Daichi knew his way around the emergency dispatch, and knew where they kept the keys. They'd essentially snuck into the fire station-- most of the people were already out and dispatched anyway, as the situation had only gotten worse since this morning. With a bloated sense of bravery, recklessness and impulsiveness, Daichi had grabbed the keys and hopped into the driver's seat, the others either piling into the back of the truck or joining him in the front seat.

And thus they were off. To fight crime.

Or mutated bull monsters, that worked too.

(OOC: This log is basically gonna go down like a mingle post! Basically, everyone who's riding along on the actual firetruck will be driving around the city, stopping every now and then to fight monsters and help people and what have you, leaving plenty of a chance to encounter your character if you don't want to come for the ride. Make a thread in the log and one or more of the idiots on board will come tag you! We can keep it to one thread, we can have multiple threads, we can have two-person threads or threadjacks, go nuts! Keep it open or request specific characters if you want-- make sure to mention your preferences in the header!

For those that are joining the crusade after the gaggle of sidekicks break out, you can make a thread where your character gets recruited/volunteers to join the firetruck crew, or we can just handwave it if you want. Regardless, you're free to jump all around the post at your leisure as well! Just don't piss off the driver or the captain.)

So deep and meaningful that Blues isn't even going to respond to Rock. Unless punching counts as a response? Punching totally counts as a response, and some kicks.

Unless Rock actually tries to defend himself that is, or Rush jumps in again. Or anyone really, cause Blues looks like he's not going to stop hitting his brother.

Punching is totally a response.

Unfortunately, it is not the response Rock wanted or hoped for. Rock does try to defend himself - albeit in purely defensive manners. Trying to block the blows and dodge them where he can. He might not want to fight, but he knows better than to let himself get hurt.

"Gah! Blues, I don't want to fight you! Can't we just talk this out?!"

That someone must have a death wish.

More so with calling Blues a son of a bitch than the whole... Spraying him with a fire hose, which does knock the red armored robot away from Rock. But Daichi's shout did sort of give Blues a good enough of a warning so that, even though he was knocked away, he wasn't knocked clear off his feet.

Which means that, once Blues quickly figures out who is being a complete idiot, he's going to roll out of the way of the hose's line of fire and...

Go right for Daichi, aiming to try and grab the hose from the teenager and possibly crush the nozzle while he's at it.

Before Rock could react to the voice, a blast of water half-soaks him and Rush, and knocks Blues back. Upon turning to see just what happened, he spots the source of it. "Mister Daichi--!"

...and there goes Blues. Crap. "Blues, no!" Rock charges after his brother to try and stop him, and will try and tackle him if he has to!

Know what is really helps out Blues? Daichi and Rock shouting when they're doing things, it's a super nice warning for Blues!

Especially since he isn't saying anything himself, even after Daichi got out of the way and he stopped rushing at the teen. But that's because Blues is just going to step to the side, not by a lot but just enough so that when Rock comes at him he's able to grab his brother by the back of the younger robot's shirt and...

Promptly use Rock's own momentum to fling him at Daichi.

Oh, and the Poisma probably hit but, well. Blues does have a perma-status effect what with his core, so who knows what the two combined is gonna do to him!

Damn it, Blues, didn't Dr. Light teach you that you shouldn't throw Rocks at people?

Kids these days...

Rock shouts some more, but nothing in the vein of actual words, just a general scream of 'AHH I'M BEING THROWN THROUGH THE AIR THIS IS NOT WHAT I PLANNED'.

Hopefully Daichi is light on his feet, or can handle a robot being thrown at him.

Ha!

Blues might just be laughing once Daichi goes down from having a Rock thrown at him. Which might be really weird to see, since being hosed down earlier finally got Blues' ridiculous hair to actually go flat. So there is a slight... resemblance between Blues and the robot currently crushing Daichi.

"That's what you get for interrupting a family meeting, kid." Blues finally said, while he started to wring the water out of his scarf.

Rock came out of that a bit rattled himself - though more mentally than physically. Mostly he's wondering why Blues would harm a human - maybe the weird stuff going on is affecting him. After all, Dr. Light wouldn't build a robot willing to hurt people, now would he?

Whatever the case may be, Daichi's hurt, Blues did it, and it needs to be stopped from going further. Once he carefully removes himself from atop Daichi, Rock steps between the boy and Blues, and in a flash, dons his armor. "I don't want to fight you, Blues. I don't know what's gotten into you, and I was willing to listen and let you get whatever frustrations you had out, but attacking a human is going too far!"

And with that said, Rock charges forward to try and tackle Blues.

Daichi, Daichi.

You're really not helping in making it so Blues doesn't think you're an idiot. And thankfully Blues is a bit too focused on Rock to comment on Daichi's surprise about his relation to the blue robot trying to tackle him. Which Rock, that didn't work once what made you think it'd work again? Especially since Blues is going to try and intercept the tackle.

With a boot to Rock's head.

"I could've done a lot worse to him, you know." Is Blues' response to Rock's words, as he side steps after his kick and then adds louder, more for Daichi to hear than for any other reason. "Of course we are! Are you really that dense to not be able to tell?"

And maybe, just maybe, he mutters under his breath. "Even Noelle's wimpy little robot could see that."

Well, his buster won't work, and he hasn't exactly gotten the hang of his persona yet, so goin' Mano-a-Mano is all he can do right now. (Or would that be roboto-a-roboto?)

The boot to the head knocks Rock backward, sending him for a tumble that he recovers from fairly well. He's having a bit of emotional whiplash - anger at Blues, and exasperation at Daichi's reaction.

"Yes, we are, but this isn't the time to worry about that, Mister Daichi!" He stands up, moving to keep himself between Daichi and Blues - if he can't actually lay a hand on the red robot, he'll be a wall. "But why, Blues? We're not supposed to hurt humans! Our programming isn't supposed to allow that!"

[personal profile] prototype_blues 2013-06-08 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
He was about to say "You mean your programming doesn't allow it." but as he opens his mouth to speak that's when Daichi's Taown actually got him with that paw swipe, knocking Blues away from the two and making the robot stumble. And that also seemed to have gotten a different reaction out of him too.

But not really one Blues can control, as his body has started to spark up. Only it seems, different? The electricity coming from him is a shade of purple. Looks Daichi isn't that much of an idiot, the Poisma from earlier actually helped.

"This is a waste of my time," he spits out those words as he winces, glaring at both Rock and Daichi.

Once Blues is knocked down and starts to spark, Rock moves closer. He raises a hand toward Daichi, trying to signal him to hold off for the moment. "Then let me help you, Blues - you're hurt."

Ahahahahahahahaha, Blues listening to Rock?

That's unlikely, even if it wasn't for the craziness going on right now.

"I'm fine," he growled, as Sniper Joe appeared once more and... Agi is cast once more, at Rock this time. And it's more to be a distraction since, even in his sparking state and feeling like he's going to collapse from lack of power at any moment now, he's going to try to get away.

And fast, and quite possibly by jumping over the fire truck that's in the way too. Stupid fire truck.

[personal profile] flyonadog 2013-06-29 11:12 am (UTC)(link)
"Gyeaaah!"

Rock recoils both in pain and from overheating - his systems register the spike of heat, momentarily making him lose focus. The distraction is successful, as he reaches for Blues and stumbles, clutching his head.

"Blues, wait a minute...!"

[personal profile] flyonadog 2013-07-11 07:16 am (UTC)(link)
Once the spell went off, Rock found himself feeling a fair bit better - somehow. He's not sure how magic affects machines, or even exists, but this isn't the time to worry about that.

He frowns, and his shoulders slump a bit, obviously distraught about failing to convince Blues to be cooperative once again. "That's not anything new, unfortunately," he answers, then looks up at Daichi. "I'm sorry that you got caught up in this, Mister Daichi."

[personal profile] justanothermachine 2013-08-04 11:31 am (UTC)(link)
There's a flash of light, and Rock's armor fades away and he returns to civilian form with a frown - a pretty deep one, actually, as he just...rambles out a torrent of frustration. "I didn't know that, though! I mean, I knew he was cranky and irritable, but I never thought he'd attack a human! We're not supposed to do that! It's the foundation of the Three Laws! Sure, robots can be built without that kind of limitation, or have it removed, that's what Dr. Wily did when he stole my other brothers and then built his own robots - but Blues was built by my dad! Dad would've implemented that... I know he would have!"

As he sputters this out, he gestures about with his hands vaguely, as if he's shuffling around the different things he's explaining, until he peters out and his arms fall and shoulders slump.

"It just doesn't make sense..."
