Tapper's! (The May edition!) - Open to all

Summary: Tapper's is becoming a hangout spot for several visitors! Also, the Idiot Sidekick Brigade has decided to come and de-stress a bit (will have their own thread).

Vanellope is glad that Tapper's is no longer a hiding place for scared citizens and now smoothly operating once more. It was a lot of work to clean the place up...for her staff. (She did help a little.)

Right now, she's pondering new menu items, though the bar seems to be doing well with only three-four items. "Hey, I've got it! Candy-coated sesame seed buns! You wish you had these great ideas, don't ya?"

She's got ways to go with figuring out a new product.

"Actually you may be on to something...maybe less candy but more cookie-like crust. Ever heard of a melon bread before, babe?"

"A melon bread? What's that? A bread shaped like a melon?" She's already experienced crab bread, which is not crabby at all! But that's a good thing in its case. "The rolls already kinda look like melons."

"It's nicknamed melon bread 'cause the outside crush looks a lot like a melon's skin," he explained.

"Most Nihonjin call it Melonpan, so you may attract the locals more that way! It's more of a bread with a cookie crust outside. I loved it as a kid. Don't eat as much of it now, cause it's high in sugar and butter, but I know how to make it!" In fact, "Miyabi's great at baking sweets too! Since we already have ice cream for the floats, we could make crepes too..."

And he would have to watch himself not to eat that stuff. Ahh the things he did...

Bread with a cookie crust sounds right up her alley. "We're doing it then! We're gonna sell melonpans and creeps to those Neon-Jeans and they're gonna love it!" She clearly hires the best and brightest of help.

"...What's wrong with sugar and butter?"

He dramatically brought a hand to his face, sighing. "It's good for everyone else, but eating too much is bad for a beautiful face like mine!"

He did not want to go back to his kid self if he could help it.

"I should be able to get a crepe machine for us."

"I see..." She pauses. She still doesn't quite get Eikichi's concept of beauty, but hey, he's not a bad guy. Crushing his dreams would be bad...especially for workplace morale.

"This is gonna be awesome!" She's so excited, she decides to perch on Eikichi's shoulder.

And Eikichi's ego had always been a rather fragile thing, hidden behind a layer of self-confidence. To be fair, however, it was much much much better than before. Also he could live with serving crepes rather than chop fish, to be honest.

"D'you want to make that part something different? Knew a few businesses back at home that employed that tactic, so customers knew that it was still part of the main store, but they could also order independently."

"You mean like an on-the-side operation? Hmmm..." Vanellope brings her hand to her chin, the opposite arm hugging the back of Eikichi's head. More income meant happier employees, and more importantly more candy. "It's worth a shot!"
