Tapper's! (The May edition!) - Open to all

Summary: Tapper's is becoming a hangout spot for several visitors! Also, the Idiot Sidekick Brigade has decided to come and de-stress a bit (will have their own thread).

Vanellope is glad that Tapper's is no longer a hiding place for scared citizens and now smoothly operating once more. It was a lot of work to clean the place up...for her staff. (She did help a little.)

Right now, she's pondering new menu items, though the bar seems to be doing well with only three-four items. "Hey, I've got it! Candy-coated sesame seed buns! You wish you had these great ideas, don't ya?"

She's got ways to go with figuring out a new product.

"Did I scare you? I'm sorry." Sasha shifted in her seat slightly. "Of course you're exhausted. We all are. Even I am, and I had a lot of fun during the event." Granted, it was probably her skewed mood during the event that made it feel like fun.

[hetried]

"Nah, nah, it's cool, seriously!" He said, laughing sheepishly and waving his hands a bit in front of him. Totally find, really. "Uh, Yamato says I have high blood pressure, so I think it's just one of the many perks of being me.

"Heh, I have to admit, it was kind of crazy, but I think I had fun! In a weird, way." He dropped his hands and rubbed the back of his neck. "I don't think I was really myself that day though, heh..."

"Who's Yamato? Is he another one of your friends?" Other friends meant other perspectives on a story, which were something of a hot commodity among Sasha's colleagues. "Good to hear you had fun! I don't think any of us were really ourselves, though. Lots of people had something up with them that day."

[hetried]

"Oh, yeah-- he's one of my friends from back home." Totally calling you a friend while you're not here Yamato, neener neener neener. "I actually met him through that whole alien invasion fiasco.

"I wonder why that is though-- I mean, last time this happened, I don't think weird stuff happened to everyone. At least, not that many people." SO much for a pattern....

"Ah, these 'fiascos' are really good at bringing people together, aren't they?" Sasha knew that from experience. Even if it was as simple as people being recruited for an army, the major events that she had experienced tended to cause people to gather and unite.

"You know, that is weird... I think there were some normal people last time. I'm pretty sure I was one of them."

[hetried]

"Yeah, I guess so-- same thing happened back home. Big bad stuff always brings people together in the weirdest of ways."

He sighed. "I think I'd rather have less fiascos though, even if it shrinks my social circle."

The last thought did get him to think about it a little though. Well, a bit more in-depth, at least. "Last time I only remember being scared shitless..." And yet another sigh in a row! "But I think you're right-- seems like most of the people around went crazy, doesn't it?"

"Less fiascos can be boring, I think. It's why I don't go home very much. But I guess a little break now and then is nice." Never mind that Sasha can also take breaks in other worlds, further decreasing her likelihood of coming home. "Yeah. Everyone seemed a little touched in one way or another. Either they were the Tauruses, or they were scared, or something else weird happened to them... it was a cornucopia of side effects."

"Can we switch lives? I'd rather sit home and watch TV again..."

Most definitely, he wasn't serious, but ah, how he could dream.

"Do you think it's like.. getting worse? W-What the hell is gonna happen the next time this all goes down?!"

"Switch lives, or switch worlds? You can take a break in any world you like if you have the ability to travel, you know." Sasha frowned a bit when Daichi began to get panicky again. "I don't know. Maybe we shouldn't worry about it right now, though."

[hetried]

"Heh, sounds good to me-- you can go back and handle all the demon crap, I'll just take a nap in between dimensions." The tone in his voice made it clear he was joking (though he as still a bit uneasy)-- and he was pretty aware he'd never be able to live with himself if he somehow found a way to forego the invasion, even if he wanted to.

"We're gonna have to worry about it at some point though, right?" He leaned on his arm and let out a huff of air to blow the hair out of his face.

"Well, maybe some day I'll take you for a little interdimensional tour, if you want to be away from your world that badly," Sasha said, not really caring whether Daichi was joking or not. "I could introduce you to my Paction friends, then I could show you around my hometown... relaxing things." She paused when Daichi continued to worry. "Maybe at some point, but not now. Since it's over, we should just give our heads a rest."

[hetried]

"Uh--" Hm, usually it's one of the Hotsuins that didn't get it when he was joking, though that usually entailed them glaring at him.

"No, that's OK-- I guess it might be fun, but I have a friend to help out back on my own world-- uh, if I ever get a chance to go home I mean."

He was still pretty certain that Alcor was fairing just fine by himself. He hoped.

"It's hard not to worry when you know something's gonna go wrong, though... I don't know how you people do it."

"I'm sure we'll get to go home. It might just be a while." And Sasha could go home whenever she wanted, assuming that the force-field around Hinoto-Ri didn't trap her worldhopping abilities. Not that she had tried, of course; she was enjoying her time here. "'We people' just focus on the moment. When you're actually living in the moment, life seems a bit easier."
