A weekend of healing...
▼ A weekend of healing...
Where: The entire city
When: May 25th - May 27th
Summary: Two options: Either taken to the hospital to aid their healing, those affected by the strings are suddenly and violently free from their mixed memories. Otherwise, they can stay in their apartment, but they'll need help...
Warnings: That depends who is there. Remember to mark your titles clearly if any warnings need to be issued!
▼ In Leo Ward...
What no one expected was that, suddenly, everything would stop. Violently, the Strings snapped back into place, knocking not only the air and energy out of those affected, but damaging their mental state as well.
Left with just lingering small memories of that other person they had shared personal memories with, it would take a few days for everyone to heal.
And yet, some would remember not only that other person but strange little memories as well...perhaps it would be a good time to figure out what those meant with others...
Otherwise, it was going to be a few days of being completely drained of energy, making even using the comp a challenge for tired hands and sore muscles. Many would sleep for a full day, finally enjoying a quiet sleep for the first time in eleven days. For others...well nothing but watching tv and hospital food, one supposes.
But who could have caused this? Perhaps the clues were already in place...
[OOC : Open log for everyone who wants to either be in the hospital or play out somewhere close by.]

In a way, this was almost worse. It had been almost frightening to find that he had no more ability to stand upright than he had to dead-lift an elephant; he imagined scenarios wherein he accidentally pressed his face against his pillow in his sleep and subsequently became incapable of preventing himself from suffocating to death. Or perhaps he would fall off the bed and break something and no one would ever know because he would only lie there like a lump.
The bizarre fears faded as the time passed, though, becoming quickly replaced by a new sensation: boredom. Sleeping was only so entertaining; after the 14th straight hour or so, he found himself wide awake and conscious, counting the number of blue ceiling tiles as opposed to white. Judging from the light, it was now somewhere in the middle of the afternoon.
...The ice cream had better still be good.]

VIRGO WARD / HOSPITAL | Open!
[Hizumi had heard that the hospital was open to people experiencing problems, but readily ignored it in favor of keeping his freedom. He doubted the place would have been able to do much for him anyway, and laying around in a hospital bed for an extended period of time again didn't appeal to him in the slightest.
Too bad he didn't have much of a choice in the matter.
As the Strings snapped back, he found his legs buckling under him, leaving him to collapse in the middle of the sidewalk. He was weak, weaker than he could ever remember being - he couldn't even lift a finger no matter what he tried, much less shift his arm from under his stomach where it dug uncomfortably into his gut.
h....elp?]
[Hospital]
[And, one way or another, he finds himself in the hospital anyway. Although he does end up sleeping quite a bit (what else is there to do?) you can only rest for so long, and the remainder of the time is spent staring dully at the ceiling. Maybe a visit would cheer him up?]

Once again she is confined to a bed, but she's soon grateful for it when the overwhelming weariness strikes. She can hardly move like this - if she hadn't been at the hospital already, it could have turned out badly.
Visitors may come in to see her dozing, but fortunately she seems to be conscious enough to open her eyes and offer a very faint smile in greeting.]

Right now, Ludwig just stared into space. A memory that had become displaced- one of his brother caring for him when he fell ill from the revolutions his country experienced when he was a child- came to the surface of his mind, and he smiled faintly. It was pleasant, though it was really nothing more than a passing thought. There was no brother here to care for him now. All there was to do now was rest, think, and recover till his energy returned. What a pain...]

At least he didn't have to leave the hospital at all. That would have just been tedious.]

Yeah, well, when you collapse while exploring the Cancer Ward, you basically say hail and farewell to that. As a result, Agatha is now hospitalized - much against her will, and to her immense annoyance. ... When she's awake and has the energy to be annoyed, that is.
Most of the time, she's asleep, or just staring listlessly at the ceiling.]

All of the awkward conversations and closed off mannerisms she displayed over the past week and a half play over and over in her head; she's even still wearing Xion's clothes, which just makes it harder not to think about it. All Nano can do is hide under the covers of her hospital bed trying not to cry as she's lying there recovering from the shock of her strings snapping back into place.
Of course, anyone who's looking for her will be able to find her easily enough all the same - even if she's got her head buried underneath the blankets and pillows, the key-shaped lump is a dead giveaway as to which bed is hers.]

However, this time that appears not to be the case.
Fumi can be found up and out of her bed as often as she can manage, busybodying around and demanding fMRIs, CT scans, EEGs, and every other sort of comprehensive health diagnostic she can think of from the medical staff at Caduceus Hospital.]
Be as thorough as you can. The strings were involved, but there must be traces of the memories remaining somewhere.

She paced the dormitory lounge, her new black coat tails flipping back and forth as she paced in boots to hide the metal stubs she had for feet. Her voice staggered, alternating between her voice, Faris' voice, and the computerized base which would provide her words if her Plume of Dusk was unable to work with it.
She had to get out of there. Go home. Where was home? It was the ship...or the dorm?
"I...I can't....wh-wh-wh-what's g-g-g-goin' on he-eeeeee-re..." She struggled to get to the front doors, reaching for the bars with her armored hands...robotic hands...what was she? "P-p-p-p-please-ease-ease-ease....someone..." And then it snapped, and her robotic husk pushed the door open. She fell to the ground, the door slamming against her frame and being unable to close. Small sprays of alcohol and coolant sprang from her eyes, neck, arms, and shoulders before she powered down completely.
Where would she find herself when she rebooted?

That is, if he didn't think he was Neku. The outgoing, bubbly Junpei had been gradually replaced by an angry, antisocial teenager. He drew graffiti-styled images on the sidewalk with chalk and told the children to get lost, slept on the grass and left the work to others, and eventually holed up in the dormitory. The memories...they were mixing. There was Koromaru and CAT, Yukari and Shiki, Personas and Pins...it was hard to make sense of it all.
At some point he must've lost it. Everything blacked out, and the frustration that eventually turned into excruciating pain ceased. And he was now just waking up, his head much clearer but also rather fuzzy.

OTA
Kinda looked like he was nesting, actually.
He was making soft sounds now and then in his sleep, too, quiet off-key peeps, distressed and upset. Not that he was managing to sleep very deeply; it seemed he was actually managing to rouse himself just a small bit with each of those little sounds. He wasn't going anywhere for a while, though. Maybe he wouldn't mind someone coming in to say hi?

It wasn't even the mental disturbance that did it. It was that for a few days, he felt like he had no reason to answer to anyone. Like what he did
what he did
didn't have to fill him with guilt.
And he never deserved to feel like that.]

Because top of that thoroughly unhappy experience, she had acted like an idiot. She'd been loud and informal and vain — the complete opposite of her normal self, in other words. The mere thought of it makes her groan and roll over onto her stomach, burying her face in the pillows.
Though her face has been mostly wiped clean of the visual kei makeup, her hair is still bright blue, as she's too tired to get up and rinse the dye out. Her clothes, too, are still reminiscent of Eikichi's style, but that much could be covered up with a blanket, at least.
And there was one more thing she had remembered, a memory that seemed to belong to neither her nor Eikichi. Wearing masks and addressing an assembly of some sort... If she isn't sleeping, she's staring up at the ceiling, mulling it over.]

Neige is another who's found herself in the hospital thanks to the effects of the memory transfer. Though she doesn't even remember how she got here, exactly, she's kind of glad to be here when she's feeling so crappy and drained. In fact, she spent her first day here completely knocked out; today isn't going so well either, so far.
...At least there's a TV to keep her entertained while she's too exhausted to do anything but lie here. Any visitor will probably walk in on her watching something completely random, though her focus on it (and the visitor) will be minimal, for understandable reasons.
With or without the TV, she thinks and continues to wonder why this is happening in the first place. Why she could imagine such violent, real memories from Zero, and what those memories might mean. She needs to talk to him again... Some time... (When she isn't too tired for life.)
open;
Once he woke up, they insisted on keep him for awhile, for observation. He was still reeling from the intense things he has seen in Germany's memories. He'll be mulling those over for a long time.
There was an additional memory that didn't seem to add up, though. That one had him concerned too. A card game, and masks... it didn't seem anything like the others.
Anyone who stops by his room will find a tired and bored-looking Nik sitting by the window in his room, watching the city go by. You'll get a weak smile and a nod in greeting, though.

At the moment, he is in a bed feeling...well...relieved. The memories are beginning to untangle from one another but that doesn't mean they have left him completely. He still pales over some of his dreams, though, honestly, he has long since become immune to most violence.
Or...mostly immune at any rate.
Drawing his knees to his chest, he rests his chin on them and stares down at his covers.]

Now he's curled up in a tight ball, watching as people rushed past. His cap was tugged down to almost hide his eyes. It's debatable whether he'll talk to anyone... but people are welcome to try, at least.

She'd been brought into the hospital sobbing uncontrollably instead. Those memories...they were just too tragic to bear with a stiff jaw and dry eyes. After all, she'd tried to cut herself off emotionally before, and it nearly destroyed her.
She breathed out a deep sigh and turned her attention to the ceiling. It hadn't been her. Hadn't been her friends, her "father", her...sister. But that didn't stop the overwhelming feelings that had echoed through the connected Strings, that ersatz and deeply confusing Force Bond.
All she could do was hope her own memories hadn't killed the poor kid who was stuck with them, if this truly had been an exchange. Well, that, and lie here and get some intravenous fluids.
She closed her eyes and pictured the stars as a meditation exercise while she waited for a nurse or a visitor.

Guess who is filling that role to a 't' here in the hospital?
Yes she woke up sore and tire, and yes the new memories she had during the event are not as strong or easy to access anymore, but Tachikoma cannot look at this experience as a negative one. For her, gathering new information is always good and integrating memories that weren't hers just reminded her of home than caused any trouble.
Right now, she's literally poking her nose in every open room in the hospital room she can find, seeing what's going on. In fact, there's a few nurses running after her getting ready to drag her back to her room if it looks like anybody she corners doesn't want her there...
"Hello? Anyone in here? Did you learn new things? Can you tell me about it?"
