In the excitement of summer, it might have slipped some Visitor's minds to go out and patrol the city during the 13th Hour. On the other hand, some were infused with even more energy on those summer nights. It really all depended on the person and perhaps whether their previous encounters were Frosts and Prinnies or something nastier.

Speaking of which... what was out there to be fought tonight?

Okay! I'll be right behind you.

Just because it's arbitrary doesn't mean it doesn't work, of course: it's not long before some terrifying hulk hoves into view, the tread of his feet shaking the ground.

Desco's eyes light up at the sight of him, and she licks her lips greedily as her gaze fixates on the massive gun in his grip. In her arms, Kogasa mimics the actions of its master as Desco quickly dismisses Usatako and lands on the ground softly, Kogasa at the ready as she summons Dragonlord.

"Desco calls dibs on the gun, Miss Nano!"

Should I support you, then...?

[That seems like a good idea. Nano has no idea what Desco's capable of, so she really doesn't want to get too close just in case. Out comes Pinocchio!]

"Yes!"

Wasting no time, Desco instructs Dragonlord to cast Evil Touch.

[all_wound_up]

All right! Be careful!

[Nano decides to go with Matarukaja. Red light washes down over the two of them, enhancing their attack.]

And then something weird happens. As Dragonlord raises his staff for Evil Touch, his form twists and writhes, giving rise to a new being.



Desco just sort of...stares for a while.

"...Desco has no idea what to make of this."

Mech... taco?

[Well, that sure is confusing.]

Desco would be content to just continue staring for a while, but the hulking Chaos Marine has had enough of being ignored. Taking one massive stride forward, he brings down his chainsword in a titanic overhand blow, aiming directly for Desco.

Even if Desco's face is staring up at the bizarre crimson octopus that has replaced Dragonlord, that still leaves the three eyes down her torso staring at the enemy, so the attack fails to take her by surprise. Idly reaching up with the arm that isn't clutching Kogasa, she catches the chainsword on her forearm, just above her wrist-mounted eye, which blinks shut as the weapon catches on her chitin, throwing off sparks.

For a brief second, she considers just ramming Kogasa through the Chaos Marine's spine, but in the end the siren call of new skills proves impossible to resist. Especially one with a name like that.

"Hell Flamethrower!"

[And the Chaos Marine takes a huge gout of flame right to the face. It wasn't all that strong to begin with, so it disintegrates in the fire as it burns away what's left of its corrupted body. The bolter gun it was carrying clatters to the ground.]

Desco! Are you all right?

[Hopefully she is, but Nano can at least use one of Mech Taco's other abilities to ensure that she is before it returns to the watery depths of their shared subconscious. And speaking of water, some spiritually soothing liquid washes over the both of them, healing Desco before the octopus mech disappears as well.]

Desco nods happily.

"Of course! Desco is the strongest, after all!"

As she walks over to the dropped bolter, Desco licks her lips and deploys Usatako, the thirteen maws of her tentacles drooling. Her voice is suffused with pleasure as she slowly picks the massive gun up and cradles it almost lovingly.

"It...looks...delicious!"

Delicious? But isn't it a gun?

Desco nods, smiling happily.

"Desco's favorite parts are the bullets! The spicy burn of the gunpowder as it works down Desco's throats is just the best!"

And now Desco is just going to be poking at the bolter, trying to figure out where the bullets are.

Because why save the best part for last?

Don't you eat anything normal?

[tyrantball]

Desco nods as she hold the bolter upside down and shakes it.

"Yes! Desco also eats chocolate, and ice cream, and caterpillar eggs!"

...Well, at least two of those things are normal.

Desco looks imploringly at Nano.

"Desco can't get the bullets out, Miss Nano. Can you help her?"

[all_wound_up]

I don't think it's safe to be playing with guns...

[tyrantball]

Darn it.

"Desco will keep this with her, then!"

She pauses suddenly, and extends one of her primary tentacles over her shoulder and nudges the gun with it. The tip splits open, and a long, thing tongue darts out, wrapping around the bolter and slowly withdrawing. There's a happy look on Desco's face as she does this.

"Mmmmm."

W-what does it taste like...

Desco grins as her primary tentacle makes a few thoughtful smacking sounds.

"Desco has never tasted this kind of metal before! But it kind of reminds Desco of the best parts of titanium and stainless steel!"

Eyes wide, Desco hugs the bolter closer to her chest.

"It's so good!"

Desco grins broadly, showing off her shark-like teeth.

"Desco should introduce you to her uncles! Then everyone Desco likes will know each other!"
