In the excitement of summer, it might have slipped some Visitor's minds to go out and patrol the city during the 13th Hour. On the other hand, some were infused with even more energy on those summer nights. It really all depended on the person and perhaps whether their previous encounters were Frosts and Prinnies or something nastier.

Speaking of which... what was out there to be fought tonight?

[Zelgius isn't sure what to react to first- the shout or the statue opening up. The statue is a higher priority, and he manages to parry the shadow's blade just in time. He's more than a little puzzled, though... how can he defeat an apparently malicious statue? By breaking it?]

What is this thing?!

[The shout had been intended to inform him that the relic was hostile, fortunately, so either would have done. Io runs up to a short distance away from the statue and pulls out her phone out of reflex.]

My Persona called it a Change Relic. It doesn't have any weaknesses, so we'll just need to wear it down!

[She experimentally uses Ursula's Kouha skill, to no effect.]

Light-element attacks won't work, either!

How do we wear it down? I can't use magic, and if yours is ineffective, we may be in for a bit of trouble.

[The statue stabs forward once again, only to be blocked by Zelgius's blade.]

If it comes to a battle of attrition, we'll win. We'll just have to try everything we have.

...but your Persona really can't use magic?

[She holds up her phone and presses a few buttons, generating a series of cyclones around the statue, which turns out to be equally as effective as the last thing she did - not at all.]

My Persona...? I don't believe I have one, and if I do, I can't use it.

[Zelgius swings his sword at the statue, only to find that it only makes a small nick.]

...What was I expecting? It's a statue.

[Somehow that explains a lot. And "a little bit of damage" is better than none...]

You haven't awakened it yet, probably... If we're lucky that will happen very soon, but until then...

[Io summoned Vivian!

Then the Change Relic emits a poison mist which spreads out over the immediate area.]

[Zelgius gets a faceful of that poison, and it sends him reeling.]

Wh-what... What is this?!

[He's left coughing and sputtering for the time being. Suddenly, however, a woman with two swords and long, purple hair appears: his Persona. She unleashes a Cleave on the statue that does some damage, but not much.]

What... was that?

[She was... kind of hoping for that, honestly. The Persona awakening, not the poison. She'll have to deal with that some other way, since her skills list is inconveniently lacking in Amrita and Salvation.]

Vivian, Ziodyne!

[Despite it going against all common sense, the ensuing lightning bolt did a substantial amount of damage to the statue-esque Shadow. The electricity appears to have charred it significantly.

She also takes note of the other development that could make this easier.]

That's your Persona. Keep using it, it will only get more powerful.

It is? Very well. Somehow, it seems familiar. Is that your Persona? [Meaning Vivian. Unsure of exactly how to summon his Persona again, he focuses, and Altina unleashes another Cleave on the statue. It doesn't do much again, but it's chipping away, slowly but surely.]

Oh, no. This is Vivian. She's a demon, but she's mine; she won't hurt you.

[One more Ziodyne from her is enough to bring it down. Rather than break into a bunch of small rocks, it suddenly dissolves into dark particles.]

Well, looks like that's over with.

[Zelgius backs away a bit as the statue dissolves.]

You have the power to summon demons, and ones that are that powerful? Impressive. It seems you're no ordinary civilian. [Beat.] Might I have your name?
