▼ When it is darkest, men see the stars...(13th hour)

The night sky once again turned red as the 13th hour hit the city. By now it was almost too easy to accept it. The moon (or what was of it up there) shone, affecting the monster population in subtle ways.

There had been a relative peace last month, apart from the fairy menace. The city was continuing to rebuild itself, and with the aid of the Visitors, progress was going swiftly.

By now, even the strange events which had happened almost seemed a little too common. The pulls from a new building, or the odd creatures that showed up and increased the population for that hour gave rise to new opportunities; both good and bad.

To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside and let the city police and Visitors do their job, despite the dividing population on this issue. For the most part, there wouldn't be much resistance.

Each night, the sky was always filled with at least one or two signs of something new, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible.

Who knew. Maybe tonight you'd get a little memento from home.

▼ Ode of the Newcomer

You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said. What time you showed here seems to be as random as everything else; if you were lucky it was during the day, if not, well the 13th hour was rather dangerous. Fortunately, there was a high chance you'd be spotted quickly.

...hopefully anyway.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[ This is a dual log, both 13th hour, or newcomer posts.

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour.

If you are a newcomer, write OPEN and what hour they arrived. It can be the 13th hour if you want too! You are, of course, not required to reply here. You can do your own independent log if you'd like!

Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log, you can level up persona ONCE PER IC WEEK, but not in the same thread IC-wise. Please do not abuse this. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on different days. The threads should be long enough that an attack is possible and shouldn't just be a few comments just for the sake of leveling up (Ie, we want effort in them, as much as you would with a normal log.).

If you submitted a building and it was accepted, feel free to start a post with them discovering it! The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES: The creatures have to be in the Bestiary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! Also, make sure your characters could logically take on the creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant creature when they couldn't normally.]

[Needless to say, Xion's been sort of... Running low on funds since arriving.

Her current situation wasn't really helping. There's three Gambler Nobodies sitting with her, a deck of normal cards present to use, unlike the ones they'd use for opponents. It's not really helping her out any, to be honest, and by the end of it, she's forking over all of the cash she's gathered thus far in the night from killing heartless.

The Gambler Nobodies give a mocking bow, and warp away with her money.

And this will pretty much be happening every night for the rest of the month. She needs money, and she knows if she can win, she might be able to get some fast.

Only problem is she's rather bad at card games.]

[Kairi wasn't officially on any sort of patrol duty or anything, but she figured it never hurt to work her way around the city and keep the heartless and dream eater populations at bay, not to mention the nobodies that had started popping up more and more after Xion's arrival (kind of weird timing), or any of the other odd creatures that went bump in the night. Taurus wasn't exactly her favorite sort of place, it being the red light district and all, but deadly monsters didn't really take any detours. So here she was, keyblade in hand, and there was... Xion?

Oh boy.]

...Did they just rob you?

[Well, she doesn't bolt. At least, not instantly. It looks like she really, really wants too, however.

But she probably wouldn't get very far. Still, she summons her keyblade, just in case. Kairi has hers out, so she isn't sure if it's safe yet.]

No...

They just took all your money, though...

[Seeing Xion react by summoning her own keyblade, Kairi relaxes her hold into one that would hopefully be seen as non-threatening; she doesn't just let it disappear though, considering they're in Taurus.]

Are you okay?

I'm fine. I just lost a game, that's all.

[Xion has no idea what that means. But there's lots of Nobodies mucking about, so at least she feels safe there. 8') Not that Kairi would know. Would she? Xion has no clue what the redhead knows or doesn't know about her.

It's really off putting, knowing nothing about her 'enemy' who knows so much about her instead.]

Are they friends of yours??

[Oh. Maybe she should've thought about that before she knocked out all the Dusks she's been seeing lately...

Kairi tries to keep a happy and kind vibe and expression going on, even though she couldn't help be feel quite awkward with this whole conversation. Gosb, she'd never had this much trouble talking to Xion before any other time she met her...]

They.. listen to me.

[Okay not really. She can only get the dusks to listen to her, but the Gamblers are always more than happy to steal her hard earned cash. But she won't be telling Kairi that she can't exactly make them listen to her.]

Is it because you're from the same Organization?

[Kairi doesn't really... know where to take this conversation, to be honest. But if Xion was willing to talk and listen, then she'd keep going for as long as she was able to.]

[Yep. That sure is a one word answer.]

Can you understand them at all? Like can you have conversations with them?

[Should she? She's pretty sure she's never heard any of her friends mention that they could talk to Nobodies, but maybe it had just never come up...]

Maybe it's because I'm not a, uhm, Nobody.

[Kairi really hated using that word, but she really doubted Xion would understand otherwise.]
