Terra Firma (Newcomer + 13th Hour Log)
▼ All things change, and we change with them (13th hour & arrival log)
Where: The entire city
When: Month of July (date your post accordingly!)
Summary: This is both a Newcomer log AND a General 13th hour log
Warnings: That depends who is there. Remember to mark your titles clearly if any warnings need to be issued!
▼ When it is darkest, men see the stars...(13th hour)
There had been a relative peace last month, apart from the fairy menace. The city was continuing to rebuild itself, and with the aid of the Visitors, progress was going swiftly.
By now, even the strange events which had happened almost seemed a little too common. The pulls from a new building, or the odd creatures that showed up and increased the population for that hour gave rise to new opportunities; both good and bad.
To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside and let the city police and Visitors do their job, despite the dividing population on this issue. For the most part, there wouldn't be much resistance.
Each night, the sky was always filled with at least one or two signs of something new, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible.
Who knew. Maybe tonight you'd get a little memento from home.
▼ Ode of the Newcomer
...hopefully anyway.
There is one word that stays with you, however.
Persona.
So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...
▼ Extra Long OOC Blurb
This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour.
If you are a newcomer, write OPEN and what hour they arrived. It can be the 13th hour if you want too! You are, of course, not required to reply here. You can do your own independent log if you'd like!
Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log, you can level up persona ONCE PER IC WEEK, but not in the same thread IC-wise. Please do not abuse this. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on different days. The threads should be long enough that an attack is possible and shouldn't just be a few comments just for the sake of leveling up (Ie, we want effort in them, as much as you would with a normal log.).
If you submitted a building and it was accepted, feel free to start a post with them discovering it! The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).
FOR THE CREATURES: The creatures have to be in the Bestiary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! Also, make sure your characters could logically take on the creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant creature when they couldn't normally.]
DON'T FORGET TO TAG WITH YOUR CHARACTER'S NAME PLEASE.

- whoa. He actually takes a step back, staring at them with confusion and a bit of apprehension.]
No real pattern to how they look, huh? [It's a cool, offhand comment, but that's not really covering for his obvious surprise.] I don't know what I expected, but -

Man, are we the only world who missed the boat on this demon thing? How many have you heard of that even have these things?
no subject
Besides me, that I know of? Seven.

[He crouches down to get a better look, but his lighter's open in his other hand just in case.]
Wanna share how they come out of your phone?
no subject
They'll only attack you if you attack first. Or if I order them to, and currently I have no reason to do so.
[Smile smile smile.]
As for that matter... traditional demon summoning rituals were decoded and reinterpreted in the form of programming code. Using these phones, the entire ritual can be completed in less than a second - as fast as the processing speed of the computer inside will allow.
no subject
So computers really can do everything. Couldn't you figure out the reverse and just suck all the demons here into your phone?
no subject
That's unfortunately more of a challenge, especially considering that most of the demons that appear in this town originated in worlds other than my own. The programming is keyed rather specifically to the spiritual wavelengths present in the demon world where I'm from.

It pulls him right out of the conversation, in fact, so he misses a good deal of that. A living phoenix is way more important than things like actually solving the problem that brought them here.]

That's enough out of both of you.
[And the demon stops. At least it's obedient.]
no subject
It's proud. [The other demon will get attention in a moment, but he's still too intrigued by the phoenix at the moment.] No one could've called that an attack. It'll take orders, but not be controlled.
[He can relate to that.]
no subject
[Fumi actually cracks a small smile at that, walking over to place a hand on the bird. It's harmless when it needs to be, and her hand is unharmed and unburnt.]
Yes, even demons have their pride. Many of them have quite a bit of it, in fact.
no subject
[He could let her go on thinking that highly of him easily enough, but his shit-eating grin shows that he doesn't quite care enough.]
There's a big difference, though. Following someone or having them own you. And I'd rather work with something that had its own mind.
[Finally, he takes a side-step toward the last demon.]
no subject
In fact, the first time someone new to the art summons their first demon, they have to defeat it in one on one combat before it or any others will listen to them at all. Anyone who fails the trial is killed by the demon.
[Lugh is the most human-looking of the three demons, with long flowing blonde locks, dressed in armor and carrying a mighty spear on his back.]
This is Lugh, the Celtic sun god. He's a particular favorite of mine, considering the details of his legend.
