There's a guy, looks about sixteen, wearing a school uniform, running around the Capricorn Ward. He seems to be shouting something.

"FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!"

It is slightly disturbing. I mean, Shura was happy to see greenery again, but you don't see her running and screaming about.

Oh look the running guy has noticed you.

FULL SPEED AHEAD

He brings his hands forward and leaps, losing no momentum as he springs off his hands into a forward moonsault. Landing on the ground, he does a tuck and roll and pops up before you, arms spread wide like a gymnast who's just finished a routine.

"Tah-dah!"

That was actually pretty impressive! Shura applauds you, stranger.

He grins a little too widely at that.

"Hello!"

That's a little strange, but, maybe he's new at the whole 'social' thing.

"Hi!"

There's a slight pause as he circles around you once before smiling widely.

"I have absolutely no idea who you are."

He says this in the same tone of voice a kid might use to announce they got the Featherman toy they wanted in the cereal box.

"... that's because we just met? I don't know who you are either."

Weirder and weirder...

Looking you straight in the eyes now.

"I don't know who I am either!"

Still smiling.

"Uh... I'm really sorry about that?" That smile is getting unnerving.

"No worries, no worries!"

He plops down on his back and stares up at the sky with wonder.

"It's been a couple centuries since I forgot it."

Shura kneels by him, smoothing down her dress. "I see... what are you? A demon?"

Sudden burst of laughter.

"Nope!"

He pronounces the word in English, the last syllable coming out with a pop. Something about the sound seems to amuse him, so he repeats it several times.

"Dunno what I am anymore. I'll tell you when I figure it out."

[demifemme]

"Oh... again, I'm sorry." She looked around awkwardly. Maybe she should leave this boy alone instead of embarrassing him with her questions.

"No worries, no worries!"

Wide smile.

"It is super great to be having this conversation!"

"Oh... if you think so, then... what are you free from?" Maybe his world was a shitpile.

"Over one thousand years with no free will!"

Still smiling as he says this.

Shura shudders. "How does that happen???"

"Nooo idea!"

He begins idly doodling in the air, a trail of faint sparkles following his finger as he traces out a gigantic tower.

"It got super boring after a while."

"Is it the Great Will's fault???" IF ever that's the case...

"Who's that?"

Yeah, she's just kinda staring.

It's not as if she doesn't know what she's looking at, but the fact that he's just so - well, crazy. It's troubling.

The tone of voice she's using makes it almost sound like a question.

"Hiiii!"

He smiles at you, his mouth stretching just a little bit wider than is strictly possible, before reaching forward delicately with one hand. When his fingers rest on your shoulder, his eyes widen with barely contained joy.

"You're real."

For a few seconds, his body quivers with emotion before he breaks out laughing in glee, tears streaming down his face. Then, as suddenly as he started, he stops, his smile reduced to a restrained grin.

"It's lovely to see you again."

Didn't he... know that guy? Blue hair, covering one eye, same school uniform... Minato, wasn't it?

...The hell was up with him, then.

"Uh.. dude? Everything OK?"

"Peachy with a side of keen, total stranger!"

Forcefully shaking your hand.

"I approve of your scarf, by the way!"

Whoah OK he... was just gonna let the guy shake his hand then, alright. He would've shook back, but it looked like this guy had it covered.

"Huh-- Oh! Uh, thank you?" The hand that wasn't caught in the strander's grip carefully reached up to tug part of the yellow fabric. "I bought it a year or two ago. Don't remember where though..."

Letting go of your hand now to give you TWO THUMBS UP.

"And he's modest, too! Let's give this guy a round of applause, folks!"

...as he claps, there's the sound of applause echoing around the both of you, like you're surrounded by an audience. Except...there's no one there.

"Wha--?!"

He jerked his head around to try to try and spot the...surrounding, crowd of people which didn't really exist, and what the hell was going on. Was this guy making all that noise?

"How are you doing that?!" Was this guy some kind of puppeteer or something?

He looks puzzled.

"Doing what? And I'm not a puppeteer."

There's a thoughtful look on his face as he says this.

"...I think I have some hand puppets, though..."

[hetried]

"The--!" ....Ah, screw it.

Wait, huh? "Puppeteer? How did you know I was thinking that...?"

He really shouldn't be surprised if that's true, but seriously? Mind readers?

He looks kind of amused.

"Mind reading does not exist. It is not a thing that can happen!"

He crosses his arms and nods sagely.

"That is a silly idea."

[hetried]

"Wha-- but you just did it again!"

Daichi's recoiling a bit this time because what... was this guy even saying and/or doing anymore?

"You keep talking about stuff I'm not saying out loud, so I don't know how else you know...!"

He tilts his head to one side as he considers.

"You...aren't saying that stuff out loud? I thought you were."

"N-No! I'm not just gonna say stuff like that out loud...!"

Normally he'd ramble to his heart's content, but he's...kind of scared of this guy!

"Weird."

Looking himself over.

"Am I that scary?"

[hetried]

"Yes!"

He didn't even realize the guy did something weird that time, he's just pretty sure that's a damn logical conclusion to draw.
